hosted by AN GAMING @ Anime North 2011

STANDARD (MFB/BMF) FORMAT

10:30 AM - BEYBLADE CRUSADE: Wake Up Call

11 AM - Registration for Bladers who have signed up and paid online
11:30 AM - General Registration for BEYBLADE CRUSADE
12:30 PM - BEYBLADE CRUSADE

For the past three years we've hosted our marquee tournament at ANIME NORTH–BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! in 2008, BEYBLADE WAR ROOM in 2009, BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP in 2010–and this year will be no different! In association with the AN GAMING division of AN2011 we will be hosting our tournament this year under the title, BEYBLADE CRUSADE!

No Beyblade? No problem! We're going to try to obtain Beyblades to bring with us so you'll be able to draft the parts to form a full Beyblade (for approx. $10), then you can play and trade with other Bladers before the tournament to hone your skills!

A Blader Passport is not required for this tournament, as AN does not allow event organizers to charge entry fees for events within the convention. However, if you want to support the WBO so we can host even better tournaments with even better prizes in the future, and participate in the BeyPoints ranking System in future tournaments, then you will need one! So, if you wish to purchase one at the tournament, that is still possible. To participate in the tournament, you must either purchase a weekend pass or a day pass at AN (if you wish to participate in all of the events and programming that AN has to offer), or alternatively, AN has graciously created a special $6 ticket this year for people who want to participate only in BEYBLADE CRUSADE.

You can sign up/purchase your ticket here: http://www.formstack.com/forms/?1062968-hwu8IOQkLu

Once purchased, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. On the day of BEYBLADE CRUSADE, present this confirmation to the person registering everyone and you will be given some sort of identification (probably a stamp or wristband).

The people who choose to sign up online and pay their fee can register half an hour prior to general registration. When general registration for people who have not signed up online begins, a second line for the people who did sign up/pay online will be formed as well in case they chose not to arrive earlier. As you can imagine, this second line for people who have signed up/paid already will move quite quickly. So, it is to your advantage to sign up/pay in advance!

The AN tournament has become a tradition of sorts, and while what we've accomplished in the past three years has been great … we are not going to rest on our laurels this time around! We're going to take this tournament to the next level.

How so, you ask? In an effort to build awareness and excitement for BEYBLADE CRUSADE this May we are going to be hosting three tournaments in the upcoming months under the name "BEYBLADE CRUSADE RECRUITMENT SESSIONS". Here's how each of them is going to work:

BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 1 - March 26, 2011
  • 15 participant limit
  • Round Robin
  • Top two finishers gain the ability to choose who they face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE, should they attend.
  • Top two finishers from Recruitment Session: 1: Kei & !!!

BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 2 - April 30, 2011
  • 30 participant limit
  • Block Round Robin
  • Top two finishers gain the ability to choose who they face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE, should they attend.
  • Top two finishers from Recruitment Session: 2: Xman8024 & Pyro

BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 3 - May 15, 2011
  • No limit on participants
  • Single elimination
  • First place finisher gains the ability to choose who they face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE, should they attend.
  • Top finisher from BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 3: ElJihado

Hopefully the possibility of gaining this slight advantage in BEYBLADE CRUSADE will be enticing for you all! Along with BeyPoints, Faces, and prizes, of course. And as you can see, it becomes more difficult to procure the aforementioned ability with each tournament that passes. Additionally, the order in which the top finishers choose who they face in that first round will be according to which tournament they placed in, but reversed (ex. If you come in first place at the first Recruitment Session, then you will have the last choice of who you want to face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE. This way, even if someone else picks you, you can still choose not to face them if you do not want to, thus nullifying their choice, forcing them to choose someone else).

Will you be at AN on Friday night? If so, then you might want to check out our other tournament, BEYBLADE CRUSADE: Roll Call!

We encourage all Bladers, both the brand new and the old to attend BEYBLADE CRUSADE, hosted by AN GAMING! With Beyblade's popularity continuing to rise, and our efforts to make this an even bigger tournament than it has ever been in the past, this has the possibility of becoming the largest tournament we have ever hosted, which means that competition will be fiercer than ever! You don't want to miss it! Hope to see you there!

If you think you'll be able to come to BEYBLADE CRUSADE, please post here and I will start building an attendance list!

Anyways photos can tell it looked like tonnes of fun!
Had a great time but unfortunetly ended badly....

Yes thats a chunk of the deer I hit from a herd of 4 that ran at my car driving home....not even 2 weeks with my car...

Le video is now up. You can see for yourself! Tongue_out

Kei was 1st, Valentin should have been first, and TehBrownSauce was third.
Was loads of fun seeing everyone again and I can't believe I finally won a match! Did better than any other year.

I cannot believe I managed to miss Kai V UGH damn my luck.

Kei there was a photo somewhere there of Valentin and I. I dunno if you wiped it or what, but it's from Saturday and I'd love to have it if you could post it up.
I checked Spinster's car on the day after crusade, and it wasn't there. =/
I'll call the hotel again today to check if they found it, but I doubt it.

And, IKMV, how did you hit a deer? o:

LOL you're so full of yourself. You talk as if you would have placed for sure. This is where the best Bladers are.

This was a great time guys, was glad to see everyone. This is probably the last Beyblade event I'll ever attend so I was happy it was a good one. Great work to everyone who attended.
Mannnneeee why cant Canadians come down to USA...? I want you guys!

Who wants some wbo tshirts?!?!?!

Man, you get some in a size larger than 'Medium', I'm so down. I'd love a WBO shirt!
(May. 30, 2011  4:46 AM)Pockyx3 Wrote: Sorry for posting this again, however I need to make sure that everybody who attended reads this.
Did anybody see a small green and black bag and take it after beyblade "hangover"?
I think I lost all of beys in that one go, and I went back today to the hotel to check if they had it, they didn't.

carp man, that bag had all your beys in it?! That really sucks. I gave my car a once-over again after I got to the states, wasn't in there. Really sorry, dude.
Actually, to sell WBO iron on patches would not be so expensive to order. I would love to see a "store" for WBO merchandise because I totally want to be a walking advertisement! Wish I could have gotten a t-shirt. Unhappy
Pockyx3, we were looking for some cards after the event was over and we had to leave the room. I looked everywhere and even found a Gundam model under a table, but I seriously do not remember seeing a green and black bag anywhere in the room when we were ready to leave. You were wearing a sort of red vest and had two bags all the time, right ?

Spinster Wrote:Man, you get some in a size larger than 'Medium', I'm so down. I'd love a WBO shirt!

Come to Montréal, I will get one printed for you hah. Seriously though, I could even ship it to you.

By the way, we cannot sell any T-shirts, I am quite sure.

Here are the things YTV and Corus Entertainment gave us this year :

Wheres Yuu..? Lmao. I love that poster! The determined look of Kadoya and the calm unhestitated look of Tsubasa! Thats soo naruto and sasuke! Hope its retrivable. Hasbro should sponsor!

I believe I saw it at some point behind the registration tables, but aside from that I don't believe I ever saw it ... :\ I really hope you can find it.

Darn you Kai-V!!! I spent a good ten minutes in first period scanning the cards, haha! Oh well, I noticed something you didn't:

The background pattern flows from card to card.

I noticed that on Saturday. Tongue_out
I also noticed that on Saturday (and infact told Xman IIRC), but didn't point it out until I had visual evidence. Tongue_out_wink
Post bug again FML! Also at the crusade was there like, snacks serving?

Someone brought in two pizzas that were apparently for us, but because I had never received any "food vouchers" (event organizers were supposed to receive them, I suppose), he couldn't give them to us. Serious
That was pretty sweet. I don't think we've ever had a big tourney run that smoothly (though it was still a little hectic, at least it's improving Smile ) I didn't do as badly as I was expecting, largely due to being able to buy new parts and to practice with everyone on friday and even during the tournament. I never get to practice x_x

Sorry that I was kind of impatient on friday and didn't stick around on saturday or make it to real thailand for dinner Unhappy I just have too much to do at the con and I always regret spending my whole weekend at one event. I think I did a pretty good job of spreading myself around this year.

ikmv: Thank you so much for the straight winder and the sweet clear bey Smile You new york kids are so aggressive, but in a good way, it kept me on my toes. That sucks about your car too Unhappy I'm glad you guys are okay though!

Dani: I owe you cash dollars for the bey I bought, I'll paypal you $25 in like a week. I don't have a credit card and it takes 5ish days to send money to my paypal account from my bank.

valentin: you're so silly Tongue_out

Aaand great to see everyone else Smile I'll see lots of you throughout the year, and hopefully most of you again next year Grin
Emily, I'm not worried about you. I know you're good on your word so I wasn't about to hunt you down.

sorry to mention this again but we need to find out who took my LDD and the kids hell kerbecs

You need to keep watch of your stuff. Unfortunately, we can't track anyone down because the tournament is over. This happens A LOT at tournaments, especially here in NY.
WAIIIIT. Minoin is the pokemon green head??? Woah so thats the person I admired at last years[or the year before?] Revival cup o.o;;;;;;;;. Man, I kept thinking where is "Emily on WBO"? I wanna chat with her ask for tips and stuff. But then times changed, Kei is the big ranking man.

Kei Poor you u mustve been hungry! I can imagine lmao

Haha, given it was a design choice, I don't think it is possible for you to have come up with the idea unless you created those cards. Tongue_out_wink

Edit: Emily wasn't wearing a Pokemon hat. Damn Billy corrupting people's views, haha. She's wearing a Terriermon hat from Digimon
She was being sarcastic haha
