In some quarentine-enduced boredom, I made this chart of what existing Avatars could have a Superking Chip based on them under the initial scheme the Chips use.
Some elaborations in case the chart isn't clear:
- The green names are for Avatars that are already 100% confirmed to be in the current series (the 8 beys from the RT campaign + the four new Avatars that we've seen/know exist so far)
- The yellow names are for Avatars that could be reintroduced into Superking with no issues (unless new Avatars are introduced that conflict with their initials).
- The orange names are in the same boat as the yellow names, but because of the initialization scheme used for the chips (first letter + next consonant), they share the same initials as another unconfirmed Avatar (Chaos and Chronos are both Ch, etc.), so only one from each pair can be reintroduced under this scheme.
- The red names are unconfirmed Avatars with initials that conflict with confirmed Avatars, and would thus be impossible to bring back with either recycling the same initials (creating the exact type of confusion these two-letter initials were designed to eliminate) or if they changed the initialization scheme in order to accommodate that specific Avatar (which would make having any kind of system completely arbitrary).
- The blue names are names that are otherwise possible to be reintroduced, but have weird questions surrounding them. Specifically, how would the Artemis/Apollos/Aeclipse gimmick work with such small plastic parts that would be unwise to make split apart? How would Gaia be initialed under this scheme considering it's the only Avatar with no consonants in its name besides the first letter of the name?
With the exception of a few Avatars, there's a lot of wiggle room for the revival of old Beys in this system, which is something I prefer about Superking over GT. I don't think I'd like to see them as like, main releases though, since it's almost always more interesting to see new gimmicks introduced into a series. I think it would be nice if they replaced Random Layers with like, a "Random Chip Collection", in which each pulls is just three or four Superking Chips which can consist of both recolors of older Chips and Chips based on these older Avatars. The Superking Chips in this series are a lot more like Clear Wheels from MFB, so they can easily just recycle the "standard" lock design that they've used so far on Hyperion, Helios, Ragnaruk, and Satan. It would be an easy way to revive the older Avatars without needing to pour in a bunch of R&D into making new Rings or whatever to justify their existence.
