Well actually before it was every month.
CT has monthly coverage now between Leone19's tournaments and mine, but it's a fairly new thing. Only time will tell if we can keep the momentum going.

Actually, if you look through our Events Archive sub-forum, you will see that there were quite a few tournaments hosted in Georgia in the past. However, in the last two, the attendance was considerably lower, until the last one which had to be cancelled because not enough people showed up. Since then, the original host has lost interest because of that.

If you look at the Louisiana tournament thread, there's one in February and I myself visit Louisiana every summer, so in July there may be one that I'll attend.

-Ever since Coach left it's been down
-Since he's back it's coming back!

Just noticed this the other day. Yuko did a fine job this year doing what he could to keep tournaments in Michigan going. We don't have too many diehard bladers so newbs may show up for one tournament then never again. It made it difficult especially in winter time when we've had trouble finding indoor locations.
But Yuko has an amazing place near Detroit we can use, and I'll be working on the West side of the state. Hoping we can alternate every other month, so we get regular tournaments going again. The bladers in Lansing seemed to have moved on to their other hobbies too...
We'll be trying to get it back up there.
Has anyone noticed a disturbing decline in tournament activity/attendance over the past 10 months or so?

Tournament play has been concentrated completely to North America, and even here our numbers of players has really dwindled ( we're struggling to reach 8-10 here, and Toronto is even getting less than a dozen per event now it seems like).

Indonesia is pretty much completely dead ( their last tournament was in like January of last year), Without Blitz, London is gone, Australia is gone as well, and even India hasn't had an event for a year now! I think we should start making an effort to knock up attendance in events, advertise and such, and maybe some of the hosts from our long-lost tournament hotspots could try to scrape some events together and bring some people back into the game!

I mean, to be honest, there are only like 50 people worldwide who play really competitively nowadays. The biggest area to think about would be London. There are plenty of people there; they just need a good host.
Umm... India had like 3 tournies at most two weeks ago.(or something like that but not a whole year)

And as for London, it's not that Blitz is gone, all the hosts are gone. So yeah, someone needs to step up.

You're right about India. XD I guess I didn't look hard enough...

I agree. We should hunt someone down who could help with tournaments in London. IIRC th!nk is putting something together in Australia right now, which could turn out well.
Maybe some drastic incentives are in order in areas that are in such a deep decline. Extra credits, stadiums, and other gear may help.

The biggest issue with that is circular. Without more tournaments, there's not enough fees coming in to help fund anything like that. Also, more popular tournament spots are filled with Passport users, so even those aren't in pulling as many fees.
I also forgot about Puerto Rico... When's the last time those guys got together?
As for India, most of us are busy with academics. I'm busy with my university entrances, ashton with his final year, Janstarblast and BladingSpirit5 with their college, etc. We'll probably have more activity after Beydays though because me and ashton become free after that. So, we can at least increase the number of events in Mumbai. Because the Mumbai community hasn't been active after nik1392 left.

The number of tournaments is not that inferior actually, although Uwik knows all the statistics so he could confirm, but that is not the impression I got. There are more states of the United States of America involved while a few 'disappeared', but yes, what bothers me more is Europe with Italy and the United Kingdom.
NC having to cancel a tourney was extremely surprising to me since they are usually so active. Just cause Blitz and the other hosts stopped hosting doesn't mean The UK has to become dead, atleast some people's tried hosting, but the last 2 were canceled.
The previous year India had around 10-11 (which is too less) tournaments, and we the biggest turnout at places like Mumbai and Pune... we lost a few good members who kinda almost quit , most old members are on a hiatus too, due to their final year, same with the hosts, they will be back in ~April~ this year, hoping to be active again
anyways we got many new members at our last tournament ,all thanks to brad day...
EDIT: how could someone post so quick ! my post should've been after theblackdragon
India also got revealed to be a pool of lies, so that never helps : I was the one who stopped their tournament attempts past that.

I don't really understand what you mean. IIRC except for the first Mumbai event where we had the launcher problem and the event where the whole Wolborg MS stealing thing happened, there haven't been any events so bad that you would call the whole region a 'pool of lies'. Or am I forgetting something?
Well, who's a good member who might be able to get us a start up in London? Is there anyone left in Italy who could host something?

We have plenty of tournaments in the US, but there aren't as many players as there used to be. It's not so much a lack of actual events as a lack of attendance.

I do not remember what region it was, but it was that whole Dayrider issue ... Everyone except ashton pinto and you basically ended up lying about at least one thing.

Yup, could be because of the Thane tournament which turned out to be an utter lie.
if its dayrider issue, then it was mumbai... and yeah i remember the mess, threatening and stuff .. or it was the thane one, the stadium issue/ late comer's etc etc ... i guess
