Hi everyone! This is the official thread for The Dual Duel - 2011's last outdoor tournament in Martin Luther King Jr. Park - on Sunday, October 16. (We will move indoors beginning in November)

Location: The closest address to put in your GPS is 1098 Jackson Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904, but be sure to look at the map above for the actual location of the tournament which will be beside the pavilion (just above the basketball courts)
Registration: 10:30am - Noon
Start time: Noon-thirty
Format: 2 Block Round Robin tournaments in BB-10 attack stadiums, to occur simultaneously or sequentially depending on number of attendees (NO double elimination!)
Surface: Grass!
Fees: Standard WBO fees ($5 entry fee or free with a Blader Passport)
Prizes: Pool of (1) Random Booster v8 and (2) Random Booster v7s
1st place gets first pick plus a MF-H (NIB)
2nd place gets second pick
3rd place gets third pick

Hey Arupaeo I have a Request for this tournament. could we posssibly use Tables I don't know about others but I feel stronger with launcher while standing and tables don't ruin tips especially if it's over grass. I also feel people judging would be easier.
maybe for more safety we could even put mats or blankets on the table?

Yeah, I agree with Billy. For me, tables would be a first.
There are several problems with tables.
1) the tables in the pavilion are bolted to the floor.
2) tips on tables are fine, but it would takes 5x the amount of blankets to cover the concrete around the tables - which is where the beys always end up anyway.
3) tables are at eye level for many of our younger bladers - which is totally unsafe for young competitors and spectators alike.
