Hi everyone! This is the official thread for The Dual Duel - 2011's last outdoor tournament in Martin Luther King Jr. Park - on Sunday, October 16. (We will move indoors beginning in November)

Location: The closest address to put in your GPS is 1098 Jackson Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904, but be sure to look at the map above for the actual location of the tournament which will be beside the pavilion (just above the basketball courts)
Registration: 10:30am - Noon
Start time: Noon-thirty Wink
Format: 2 Block Round Robin tournaments in BB-10 attack stadiums, to occur simultaneously or sequentially depending on number of attendees (NO double elimination!)
Surface: Grass!
Fees: Standard WBO fees ($5 entry fee or free with a Blader Passport)
Prizes: Pool of (1) Random Booster v8 and (2) Random Booster v7s
1st place gets first pick plus a MF-H (NIB)
2nd place gets second pick
3rd place gets third pick

That is correct. It's obviously easier for me if they already have accounts and can confirm prior to the tournament, but if things are up in the air I will be happy to register them.

And of course, we are happy to have them come battle!

The shorter answer is that we can't run more stadiums than we have judges for.

It depends on how many bladers we get. If it is less than 20, then yes, we will have 1 tournament and then a 2nd tournament right afterwards. If it is more than 25, we will be using a brand new format where we run 2 block round robin tournaments simultaneously. If it is between 20-25, then it will either be one of those options or the other

But one thing is for sure, There will be no double elimination! Smile

ok so what if there were only 20 bladers competing in this tourney and then what would be the prizes for the second tourney after the fist 1?

Hm, two tournaments in a day that are not Double or Single Elimination is really becoming too much ...

Each tourney will have its own prizes. The prizes will be TT beys and/or gear, like they usually are.
