Not everybody gets places by using Basalt. Not everybody.Entirely,if this was banned,I predict that the following might happen:-
No Basalt,so lets use Earth and Libra!Wait,Earth can be KO'ed too easily.Let's cross that out...Hmm,Libra?Wait!what if my opponent is using a stamina bey?Nooo!!!!Now,I have 2 choices.....Attack or Stamina?Wait,I can't control attack that good,so I'll use Stamina..On the tournament....Noo!!!!I lost easily in Round Robin Block because of my oppenent using Attack...So?If we dont ban this,Defence would be able to stand up on Attack...NO MUCH Stamina Battles! No rockpaperscissors! No Luck game!Metagame is balanced...

Win.
I can see this Basalt thing is gonna be going on for a LONG time......

That doesn't make sense.

Libra was good at stamina(of course not as good as basalt) and defense,
Not using attack types is an excuse to yourself,
and the opponent can master an attack type and KO you is your own problem.
Beyblades are used to improve, not a weapon to destroy Rome, or using one bey to win all opponents. This ain't fun.

I'm not really fussed with all this Basalt commotion but in my Opinion it should be banned.
My little Brother (9) placed third beating very good bladers using MF Basalt Aquario BD145CS he had launched a beyblade about 10 times in his life and he honestly couldn't give two carp about beyblade. Yet because of Basalt he came third. Yeah. Also at the moment. Even the most skilled attack bladers use Basalt once or twice in a tournament. In this current metagame it's near impossible to win without using Basalt once or twice.

Smile

If he chose to use or built that combo with knowledge he gain here or from other bladers, then he deserves the placed he got. He won not because of the wheel alone, but because he knew what it was capable of even in his current skill level.

Maybe it is near impossible to win without using Basalt once or twice, However its Not Impossible.

So no matter what, I still say Don't Band a strong Beyblade Part as there is always a weak point like every other part does Cute
I built it for him. -.- As I said he couldn't give two carp about beyblade.

Thats why I said it was NEAR impossible. Not impossible. There is a reason I write things...

As I said I'm just coming here to show my decision. I'm not going to get into the whole thing Smile

I dont think we should ban basalt, because some people dont even have it yet. and when we do get it, it would be a waste to try to make any combos with. and i want to use it before it gets band
burn leon
that is a stupid reason
just cuz ppl dont have it
thats there problem
what did we have to do with libra
we banned it
did we care if ppl didnt have the bey yet
u can still buy it and use it at home
its not like
"Carp i cant use this to vs my friend cuz its banned"

There's no connection between owning and banning.
Can we ban it already? Most people who are against this have really bad reasoning and banning it will bring nothing but good for the metagame.

I agree the tension is killing me I want it to be banned now!!!! If we have to wait a month to test B:D then so help me.....

so when is it gonna be banned all of us who want it to be banned have good reasons while the others welll......not so much!

Erm...Don't use Defense against Stamina like a smart person? Duh. And Libra's stamina ain't bad, in case you don't know. All that weight on the outside is very helpful.

Well, when it all started, I was among the people who did not want it to be banned...
But after going through all 29 pages of this thread, I realized that not changing the rules is a BAD solution.
It feels like most of us who didn't wanna change the rules blabbered without thinking practically.
Yes, I would still be sad that such a brilliant part would be unusable, but I simply wouldn't oppose it now. Smile
Only if there was a better solution....
I am really waiting for the Final Verdict which will possibly be given by the Admins.

Obviously, I didn't "break" Basalt, but we did break through its defenses. If you see what I mean, Bakushin took multiple hits to KO. Basalt needed only one, maybe two.

Unfortunately, the battery died before we could get a decent amount of Bakushin in the mix.

In my opinion, launching Basalt Aquario BD145CS so aggressively isn't efficient at all. Considering how many close to the Tornado Ridge it is, of course it's likely to be KOd. I honestly can't see any discernible inferiority to Bakushin either, because of how little you showed of it and the inconsistency of the launches in comparison.

Unfortunately, Shadow X 9365 has my passive CS so I couldn't test that and my camera battery went dead before we could do anything with Bakushin.

Even if I had a passive CS on it, Blitz is at such a height and angle that is has been slamming down on the BD145, causing it to hit the rubber of the CS, which brings it into an aggressive mode to the ridge.

Weren't we all happy when we heard Basalt's release? I remember thinking that defense really needed this since it was in shambles. lol I'm going to look back at that thread to confirm or trash what I just wrote. I just think it is ironic if so.
Also all this 'can we ban it already? PLZ???!!!!!' is really rude and immature as if you pay zero attention to proper opinions of opposed parties. I realize a lot of dumb post are being made on behalf of the no ban group, but it is still really rude to say considering the effort I, and everyone else who actually tries to make their views understood put into their posts
Libruhhh
After reading most of the posts.I say that Basalt should just be restricted from being on the BD145 and the 230,plus the CS and the MB.Cause most the combos that are causing this problem are combos of the Basalt wheel being on the BD145/230 CS/MB.

So "most of the posts" does not include my posts, which I try to always make worthy of being read, and where I notably wrote how restrictions are just too complicated for tournaments ?
I seriously think we should not ban it. Lots of people use it in good customations and battles

I agree w/ Dan. Defense WAS in shambles, heck, it was a train wreck, w/ only ONE custom in competitive battling. Sill, I also remember when another wheel, libra, was banned. It came back, not as strong, but if basalt took a vacation, it would be doing more good than bad, especially if it DOES re-surface. If restricting it is not possible, ban it. Period.
uuuhhh sorry Dan I realize I was being quite rude... but don't get me wrong I love basalt and I reallyyyyy!!!! don't want it to be banned but the best thing for the meta-game at the moment is to ban the wheel.

Tell me yourself Dan WHY NOT Ban Basalt. If you have a reason that truly flushes our reasons down the toilet feel free to tell us. I don't want it to be banned I don't want my basalt wheel to be sitting in the pile of useless metal wheels I spend hours of free time practicing my CH120XF beys my Attack types and my stamina types everyday just to make basalt obsolete but even if I do find a way to destroy the wheels potential people won't take the time to work hard the combo/technique I make to beat it instead they stick to Basalt at tourneys why is that.
People like taking the easy way out.
take it this way there's a fork in the road
one path will take you straight down to your destination (Basalt)
the second path will be long and hard but when you get out you will reach a place better than your destination and you will be filled with a sense of pride!(hard work/attack/stamina types)

What ?! Im getting really tired of people not reading previous post nor even trying to make some sense. That is the reason people are considering a ban. Too many people use it.
With RB out now which has the potential to be the best defence bottom yet I think defence won't be that bad. Also the effect will only be felt on the forum since few use attack types in tourneys.

Did you actually read his post/this thread, or were you too busy thinking of irrelevant analogies?

I've actually read the entire thread and my point is that nobody has giving a reason
that actually outdoes the posts in which they've given reasons to ban it.
(the reason I made that post was because I wanted to summarize teh actual thread and so that people would stop making irrelevant posts.
most people don't read around the thread so yeah)
PS I'm one of the people who voted on the wheel not being banned
