While Darik's awkward demeanor just adds to his act and his puns crack me up, Naturman is also funny. Comedy is probably the hardest act on that show, too. Naturman made it to the semifinals, Darik's fate is being decided tonight. Really hoping for him.

Check him out and give him some votes if you like his acts. Tongue_out

I like banzai comedy actually, as I can relate In many ways. But I do agree when people are singing there hearts out and you are telling jokes, you better be funny.

Darik mostly uses puns, like Fozzy Bear in that sense, haha. It depends if puns/humor like that is your cup of tea.

His nervousness/awkwardness just makes it funnier.
I like dark humor, really. I don't mind when a comedian oversteps the morality boundary, and will help me cope with grim things through comedy. Puns can also be funny, but I find humor In how deep the pun is, if it is a reference to something from my child hood, or meaning something obscure, it makes it funnier when I figure it out. But that's just me ya'know.
His puns are just more of something to make you smile, haha. I like dark humor myself, but nothing like some good old fashion puns.

Here's his audition act, which in my opinion, was one of his best.

I like subtle humour. Facial expressions and tones can create reactions that can surpass jokes and such. Also Friends references get me every time XP
I remember on standup show called Gary Oak is a d**k. I found the show humorous because up to that point I never realized how terrible Gary was as a person. He forces you to fight him at the end of long areas when all your Pokemon are weak. He refuses to give you a map, and you have to talk to his little sister for it. He is just terrible.
Honestly, I didn't even crack a smile at the audition video. He seems like a nice guy, but the way he presented his jokes just made me a little uncomfortable Pinching_eyes_2

Has a comedian ever won America's Got Talent? The problem with humor is that everyone has a different perspective on it, making it much harder for one to win than a stunt act.

Exactly.

Honestly I'm happy you didn't like it because that shows how hard being a comedian can be. If we just watched someone breathe fire or something, I'm sure we could mostly agree its spectacular. Yet, when it comes to telling a joke, someone could hate it and the next person could love it. It's not neciasrlly hard by being a cute 12 year old with a good singing voice, but being someone who tells jokes, is another story- everyone has a completely different sense of humor.
Maybe I should try out, would they allow fire arts, ie fire poi, fans, staffs?
Leone19 Very true. It's sad really, because as funny as a comedian may be to some people, not everyone will agree. I can see this guy getting through a few rounds, but when it comes down to it, they'll choose the talent that everyone agrees is good.

Exactly. Comedy is somehting everyone has a different outlook on. That's why I have so much respect for the comedians on that show; it's really tough for them.
Maybe they should have a show just for comedians in a similar format, it would still be biased, but much more accessible fr those In The comedic arts
Exited to head to Gen con next weekend! Will be participating in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Tourneys!

What deck are you going to pilot?
I wanted to go to gen con as well, carp. Either way, most decks are autopilot now IMO.

I am sick of these singing acts.
They win and they do nothing but keep the money.
Puns are amazing IMO.
I freaking ROFL'd.
I'm so dissaponting he lost this week. He was honestly my favorite competetor on the show.

I'm kinda sick of the judges in that show, aside from Mandell, haha.

I'm not really that knowledgeable at Yu-Gi-Oh! so I don't actually know what my deck is... I just threw together some good spell and traps. I have a ton of Level 4's and my goal is always to get Utopia or Gaia. Knight The Force of Earth on the field. Besides that I have Blue Eyes and Buster Blader. My deck is an all around deck.

That is really bad. . . tell me that you are running Barion magic level up, the utopia weapons? Blue eyes is not that good without a deck to make him an early threat. Their are better rank 4, like black ship of corn and maestro, having utopia is fine but you should have better rank 4s.
But it is just my opinion, play what you want as long as it's fun.

You'd probably be better off buying 3 Lightsworn Structure decks. Well have fun at GenCon.
Well, sometimes I question my mentality of being a superhuman idiot. Yesturday I punched a soccer ball like a goalkeeper. Bad idea, now I have a sprained wrist on my right hand, the hand I always use.

Also, have you all heard of the Hawaiian hurricane? It's the first hurricane in 22 years for one to hit them. I'm not sure what I would do if I was caught in a hurricane. I was already involved in a wind event, and thanks to that, I'm traumatized of any severe weather. You should see me when I get an EAS message, I start going nuts..

Phobias should be conquered, I'll put you in a wind tunnel one day. And then put you In a flooding house. It will be fun. . . For me. But really most weather events have low mortality rates, unless it is a doozy of some sort, like a class five tornado, then we might see some killstreaks.
I've been in a wind tunnel, a flooding house isn't a problem for me because I live on a 2-level apartment. The other phobia I have is volcanoes, should I put my hands on hot steel to conquer that? (No insult intended)

I don't mind insults anymore, I will gladly stand as a circus clown and laughed at.
But if you want you can technically hire helicopters to hover over an active volcano, but I'm sure they have stopped that by now.
And how about a flooding box.
In order to conquer my phobias I'd have to have knives thrown at me, be tossed in the middle of the Pacific, and be locked in chicken coop.

I'd probably have a heart attack sometime during the course of that horrendous string of ordeals.
Guess who's the first on on the list Tongue_out

Alsoooooooooooo, damn, does anyone else feel like their summer just trickled away?! I mean, I always have the intention of actually doing things every time June rolls around but then boom all of a sudden August is here and I haven't accomplished anything Crying
