[Product]  B-73 New generation God Valkyrie.6V.Rb Starter

There absolutely must be an increase in weight in some way or another (metal or more plastic), especially since LL is so much heavier than everything else. There is potential for painted metal as well that we aren't seeing!

Power creep isn't a new thing in Beyblade, even in PLA. It just happened to be extremely exaggerated in MFB.

I can't wait to see what this God series will offer!

I doubt it will be anything like "God series", by the way. I think the second anime season is called "Beyblade Burst God" simply in reference to the main character's Beyblade, nothing more. Legend Spriggan is part of the "third 'system'" yet it is not a god or anything. A lot of previous Beyblades are going to get second or third iterations this time and they are not god-related. Hobby-wise, this new "system", if any, would probably have a very banal name akin to "Basic Beys" or "Dual Layers".

I feel stupid enough that I did not know this to actually post specifically to admit it. I had thought that half the point of giving a left-spin bey extra weight was to reduce its ability to spin-steal from its lighter opponents... But if it really is outclassing everything, I guess I just gave it too much credit.

My impression as a non-competitive player (ha!) is that the Burst meta is balanced much better than MFB and from what I understand, it is also more balanced than PLA. I mean, having an extra win-condition makes it more balanced be default, not to mention any actual effort the designers put into nerfing teeth on otherwise overpowered layers. So if L2 upsets that balance, then I'd say it's basically confirmed the new series will be metalicious. I had thought there might be some gimmicks - but I guess they've already quenched their gimmick-thurst with the existing driver range.

Metal burst. And so, I ready my wallet.

Ahh thanks for the clarification!  Either way my wallet is ready! *flings wallet at screen*

Not sure I would qualify the Burst metagame as balanced at all, especially if I am to top this statement with my most sincere personal view hah. Plus, KOs are rather rare, probably because the parts are so light and rounded since they are meant to burst and fly out, so they need to cause as little damage as possible.

Anyway, as I posted in my Lost Longinus testing topic, I would never say that that Dual Layer is good at spin stealing, as I would never use it stationary, but it does do it well enough through hits and it is so awesome when weak-launched, either bursting, knocking out or even eventually outspinning the opponent almost all the time. And I posted a video recently of a Japanese YouTuber who tried removing the metal parts from Lost Longinus and from the few non-extensive battles he conducted, lightweight Lost Longinus was really bad.
Really? I don't remember seeing L2 outclassed almost everything, I thought it was still untested and was mainly used for K.O attack.

I think the metal is best be used exclusively for L2, I'm going to assume the layers will be heavier through means of more plastic or a third layer, a metal circular layer would be a giant disaster.
Well it has been rather extensively tested so far hah.
i think this new God Valkyire can beat lost longinus in no time flat in the beystadium i think

We barely know anything about it and overall it looks very much like Victory Valkyrie, so that is quite a wild assumption hah.

Actually mostly any Dark Deathscyther should do the job hah.

i was just saying that that is my only hope for D2 because i dont feel like spending money lol
Apparently there are a few more teaser pictures in this month's CoroCoro issue, nothing much more revealing, but here they are thanks to marutti's video:

It essentially shows the silhouette slightly better.
Do I see three layers??
Hey wait a sec, this was the direction xeno xcalibur was going. Considering that Xcalibur is usually one generation ahead ( xcalibur having the sword sticking out and x2 having three layers as opposed to two ), I guess this is the direction it was going  anyway. Perhaps no metal but this is fine too
It looks like a 4D bey almost, the middle looks like a clear wheel, reminds me of Blitz Unicorno. I'm guessing it's either mode change or a Dragoon F sort of thing.

Anyway thanks marutti.
YES YES YES! ^^ It really looks like Blitz. I love the design. Grin I hope you can flip the second layer of the three ones and switch between a barrage and a spike / smash attack mode. Smile
TRIPLE LAYER, CALLED IT
AND EVEN A POSSIBLE MODE CHANGE
SPECULATION HALF-CONFIRMED
>the new gen is triple layer
>no metal visible in breakdown of layers

This is gonna suck

All because it's triple layer and has no metal in the layer doesn't mean it sucks. Metal is just the exclusive gimmick for L2 that keeps it special and in the meta. As for triple layer, it was only bad for X2 so far; you don't know that it'll suck with different designs and gimmicks.
GV looks like a V2 with improved barrage attack
Guys, it is absolutely not certain that those layers are separate. Perhaps they just added a third layer of plastic and there are still screws combining everything. It would not change much hah. It happens often in CoroCoro that they deconstruct pieces just so you understand the foundation.
I bet it's going to be a bit more elaborate Xeno Xcalibur 3 layer system. Just like Xcalibur had a "Dual Layer" vibe and all.
But, boy o boy, I'm hyped!
FREE SPINNING LAYER LIKE GALEON!

I so called this a while back! Hopefully it will happen!
I think this is probably going to be something like an "HLS" system, where you can combo the layers to make combos like Kreis Valkyrie and God Satan. I feel these will be great because then we can isolate the toothy parts with the best teeth and the beSt contact areas for some killer combos.
