This offends me a little. Did they have to use "lord" and the layer base name for Spriggan?

idk, you'd have more feelings of being offended if they actually put a crucifix or something on a Beyblade design. Maybe it'd ease your offended feelings if the word was just "lord" since you associate "Lord" = God. Unfortunately, Takara Tomy is Japanese, hence not a majorly Catholic/Christian country, so they'd not really care about the other implications of the terms they use; they associate the word "Lord" with something like a leader or ruler in their society. "Emperor" has already been taken, so I guess "Lord" is another term they could use for naming.

Honestly, they’ve directly referenced Hell, Satan, and God himself several times with little to no backlash. I don’t know why it would be any more deserving of backlash when Takara Tomy is using Lord in a way that isn’t referencing religion. People use “lord” when saying “Lords and Ladies” in a movie kingdom setting as well as having people called landlords nowadays that have nothing to do with God.

I honestly don't think so, with Cho-Z Spriggan in mind which got rid of it. I think it'll focus more on a dual-spin Base as a gimmick, since it'll be the first Base of its kind and Spriggan Requiem has rubber because it was released in the same line as Legend Spriggan, making it unique from it.

Plus, the Lord base is shaped a lot like Sr already, and it would be too OP if it had customizable teeth and a lot of weight on top of having rubber.

Now I understand your distaste for the name, the only “Lord” is God,...

They'd be better off with calling it "King", but maybe they have plans using that along with "Queen" and "Jack" lol 

Though Lord Spriggan already sounds intimidating and cool, maybe they could've named it Supreme Spriggan and tied-in with the label for a limited-edition Bey, but that's besides the point.

It might still be "Load", because when you read katakana it will be pronounced as "ro-do" with the "ro" being a long vowel and "do" having short sound like "saw".  That's the thing with Japanese pronunciation, cuz their "L"s and "R"s tend to mix up (and how they say it is something like "rlr", like saying "R" with a weak tongue) and they have to write down the word using English alphabet for it to make sense for non-Japanese. 

It could also be "Road" since it is also sounds like "Load" in Japanese? We'll just have to wait for them to release the boxart and check the English equivalent as canon.

Lord basically means “Supreme Ruler”

We don't have a clear image so that would be hard to confirm. A friend of mine thinks it might have some rubber on the base.

Regardless, it's a Spriggan so hopefully, the bey will have competitive parts like the last 3 Spriggans have. Thankfully this one is its own release, unlike Cho-Z Spriggan.

Funny thing is, Valkyrie is shown to be a male warrior in the Anime instead of a Female Fortune teller in terms of calculating who will die in a war/battle. Completely different things altogether.

Blitz?! Dimension'?!!?! What even is this anymore! At least give us a 'newer' driver! First you reuse Zeta from Spriggan Requiem and make it a dash driver. Then you do the same thing except you take Dimension from Super/Cho Z Achilles! And now Valkyrie and Spriggan have the same disc!!

LOL, I'm not mad at all, but they still could have made better choices, you gotta admit that.

The new driver name may be called Ominous because in the episode title where Bahamut comes in its associated with "Sinister Art". It still could be anything though.

Brave Valkyrie is my favorite bey, and Valt is my favorite character even if he's a bit overrated.

Okay well, 7W works okay for Bahamut. Om is interesting, I'm surprised it's Bahamut that's getting the new part.

Speaking of which Spriggan doesn't have new parts, besides the layer. Well it has Dm' but it's not really new in my opinion, but it works at least. Blitz is honestly a weird choice, having the same disk as Valkyrie?...

The Slash Dragon 00 Octa Metsu will be that one bey we don't care ab- wait... OCTA? No way! That is really cool! I am getting this now!

I am really disappointed at Lord Spriggans parts. Seriously? Blitz, and dimension'? I was hoping it would have some new parts, besides the layer. Dread bahamut has the Gen weight, which was expected, but 7 and wall are just okay. I'm kind of worried on how the stock combo will be. Om seems like a very interesting driver name. Slash Dragon comes with Octa, which is perfect. Overall, it's still a very great set, just disappointed about Spriggan. Was there a layer weight for Spriggan though?

Slash Dragon has a green color to it, Lord Spriggan has a dual spin gimmick, where you rotate the teeth, is not compatible with a layer weight, yet doesn't appear to have metal. Lord looks like it has some metal on it. Red gen weight is on Dread Bahamut.
