We're discussing benchmarking in the advanced forum right now, specifically to address that.

If you get faster movement from an LL2, practice with a string launcher until that changes. Maybe ask SAM10795, it took him a very long time to get better with the string launcher, but he did eventually, even though all the advice I could give him couldn't help him much.

Also, I can't really slide shoot with a string launcher, common phenomenom?
I personally find it more difficult too. Not impossible, but not as refined as it could be.

It's common, but also absolutely mandatory that you learn, otherwise you will simply not be capable of producing results anyone will look twice at. Once you get the hang of it, it is very clear exactly how superior the Beylauncher is.
