Pokemon X and Y!

Anyone here have a Minun that they don't need? I've been trying to find it in a horde but not much luck.

I'm gonna help you out, buddy! I'll grab a Minun for you Smile

BTW, if anyone wants a certain Pokemon, ask me(NO legendaries such as MewTwo or The 3 Birds of Yvetal or Xerneas)for them, maybe even PM me about them. I play Pokemon X.

Glaceon used Blizzard!
It's not very effective.
Starmie is frozen solid!

Turn 2
Glaceon's Quick Claw let it move first!
Glaceon used Blizzard!
It's not very effective.
Starmie is frozen solid!

Turn 3
Glaceon's Quick Claw let it move first!
Glaceon used Blizzard
It's not very effective.
Starmie is Knocked Out!

Turn 4
Go! Dragonite! (Dragonite outspeeds and has marvel scale to take a hit even if glaceon somehow gets a fourth quick claw activation in a row, and will easily OHKO it)
Glaceon's Quick Claw let it move first! (but this time I am prepared, right?)
Glaceon used Blizzard!
It's super effective! (Dragonite survives with a third of its health left, as predicted)
Dragonite is frozen solid! (wat)

Turn 5
Glaceon's Quick Claw let it move first!
Glaceon used Blizzard!

In retrospect I should've taken the loss and saved the video as evidence but in the heat of the moment I was far too annoyed at the RNG to continue.

Man I feel your pain bro =( I still remember the Walrein in Ruby's Tower whose Quick Claw activated 3 times in a row, followed by Sheer Cold to OHKO my team. Battle Tower/Frontier/Subway and now the Maison always, without fail, will find a way to hax you sooner or later. Without resorting to strategies revolving around Truant Durant with Entrainment or Acupressure Drapion, etc, there's little hope of ever getting a good streak (few hundreds) going.

That said, the Battle Institute is actually pretty good to farm some BP. Win or lose, you always go through 5 battles. On my first try, I lost the 4th and still got 11BP at the end. When I got Master rank in Singles/Doubles, I got 15BP. Even if you forfeit every match you still get 3BP. Forfeiting can also speed the process up when you find yourself in a battle you can't win, but which would otherwise take some time to complete.

Finished my first breeding project a few days ago, a Brave, Quiet and Adamant Honedge. I have plenty of spares lying around now with 3-4 max IVs.
Dunno how many more stuff I'll breed... It's a lot better now than in previous gens, but I'm kinda waiting to transfer my old mons once Pokébank opens.
I hate to sound like a noob here, but I'm new to Pokemon. What exactly is a safari? lol

http://www.serebii.net/xy/friendsafari.shtml

The Friend Safari is in Kiloude City, which can be accessed in the post-game. Within it, you can find various Pokémon depending on the friend codes you have registered (each friend is assigned with their own safari) . Unlike previous games safari zones, you can use your own Pokémon and balls to catch them with no time limit to worry about.
Each Safari is a certain type with corresponding Pokémon and they all have 3 pokés in it, with the 3rd only being available if that person has defeated the Elite 4 and if they've been online at least once at the same time as you.
There's 3 main reasons to catch stuff there:

- Access to pokémon with their Hidden Abilities
- Access to some Pokémon not normaly found in the Kalos region
- Every single Pokémon you catch in there will have at least 2 max IVs (3 in the case of Pokémon from the No Egg group like Riolu)

The ability to get Pokémon with at least 2 31 IVs might just be the best thing about it and it's great to get started on breeding. There's plenty of stuff there without useful Hidden Abilities or some who don't even have one, but at least they'll always have a couple of perfect IVs.

A safari in the older games was where you would go try and catch different pokemon.

In pokemon X and Y people have something called a safari. When you trade friend codes on the 3ds that person's safari shows up in the list of Safari's to choose from.

Here's and Example: Say my Friend Safari is a Fire Type one, we trade friend codes and you go to the friend safari. My Safari will show up in the list of options to choose from.
Sweet! I'll have to check that out later Smile If anyone wants to add me, my friend code is: 1177-7696-5998

Sweet scent, guys. I find a minun and plusle horde every 10 minutes of sweet scenting or less while EV training.
I got a Vulpix! He evolves into ninetails so is he any good?

He's really only good for sun teams when he has drought. The best nature for them is timid and drought is the ability you want.
All right! I finally beat the E4. My team was
Charizard Lv. 74
Greninja Lv. 73
Xerneas Lv. 71
Gogoat Lv. 71
Snorlax Lv. 70
Tyrantrum Lv. 70

Don't want to brag... but here's my E4 team:

O how boring .. it's more fun to have a team which gained experience rather than have one that just wipes the floor with them.
If you're gonna 1-poke the E4 and want it to be impressive, do it with something like farfetch'd. I might give that a shot some time, actually (it's probably easier than one would imagine, given CH'DING at least has some useable abilities and moves, so even that probably wouldn't be very impressive).

Speaking of which, I'm really disappointed at the lack of a proper e4 rematch (with higher level pokes etc). I switched my team up a lot before the e4 and my team ended up being overlevelled and tore through them without any need for tactics etc, making for a rather boring experience. Probably didn't help that despite being unaware of the champion's team aside from her final pokemon, I led with eviolite doublade and her first pokemon can't hit that for even neutral damage (and is physical only), so I got off 3 swords dances and tore through all but her final pokemon (which I switched to megazard x for and promptly oneshotted with shadow claw, as I'd planned to do from basically the start of the game).

Yeah, I had a pretty easy time of it too. I think out of everyone Wikstrom gave me the most trouble because he spammed Full Restores on his Sturdy Probopass.
I vaguely recall having to switch pokemon for Wikstrom, which would be the closest I came to using tactics, so he was probably the hardest for me as well. His room is super duper neato though. I really disliked drasna, I was excited to hear there was a dragon E4 member, and she was a massive disappointment, both as a trainer and a character, for me. Water guy was cool if only because you can anger him, and I'm hoping more happens with Malva and her associations and threats of violence in the third game (because I really want to give her a proper comeuppance). Champion was a complete non-character and I don't see any replacements available for the third game so I'm hoping gamefreak do something about that.

Sorry! I'll message you if I ever need a new Pokemon you can help out with Tongue_out.

At the moment I'm trying to fill up my Pokedex and catch as many Pokemon as I can and after that I'll probably start working on building up a competitive team. I think so far the only 'dissapointment' I've had about Pkmn X/Y is that the vs seeker wasn't in the game again. I really liked that.
Guys I been having luck with shinies...dunno why but so far I got

Octillery-Takakira(Was remoraid)-Fishing
Luvdisc-(Aphrodite)-Fishing
Chinchou-Nite lite-Fishing
Furfrou-Noirdle-Chaining

anyone jelly yet?
Are you chain fishing or ..?

I actually had (still ..) trouble with Siebold's Gyarados; geez I didn't have any electric attacks and then it set up Dragon Dance + Waterfall with Flinches, OHKO a lot of my team until I Thunder Wave'd it. That Clawitzer's trio of Pulses and Aura Sphere are annoying as hell too ..
Heliolisk is an absolute beast in-game thanks to its movepool. MVP against almost every gym leader and a lot of E4 members too. Laughed at Siebold's entire team. Most of my journal entries for gym leaders on the gts website are "Meteor and Heliolisk beat ____" or w/e. Shame it doesn't get nasty plot, though.

yes chain fishing, also got the furfrou under 40 encounters with the radar. to think I thought that one whismur I accidentally knocked out would be the only shiny in the game HA I was sure showed....but still the nature isn't the one I want on that furfrou but I'll keep it for the sake of keeping it....gonna breed one anyway...
