Pokemon X and Y! - Raykon - Jan. 08, 2013 So they just announced the release of Pokemon X and Y for the Nintendo 3DS! From what I just saw, it looks really good. I won't say to much and let you watch it for yourself, but heres a video of when they announced it on January the 8th. http://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct/archive/01-08-2013/ What's your opinions? Website: http://www.pokemon.com/pokemonxy/en-us/ Release date: October 2013. RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Cannon - Jan. 08, 2013 Run out of names much, LOL. I think it looks neat. Finally a Pokemon 'adventure' for the 3DS. But, I was hoping for a remake of R/S/E. RE: Pokemon X and Y! - To - Jan. 08, 2013 It's for 3DS, features 3D gameplay, and will be launched worldwide this October. You could say that much ... Official site: http://www.pokemon.com/pokemonxy/en-us/ [Image: hero.jpg] [Image: hero2.jpg] [Image: hero3.jpg] [Image: heroine.jpg] The battle stuff looks okay, but the exploration stuff looks rough. RE: Pokemon X and Y! - zeneo - Jan. 08, 2013 X and Y? sounds like Coldplay's album and my algebra homework it's based on Ruby and Sapphire I suppose.... It'll be interesting if this game gains the same popularity like Ruby and Sapphire RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Cannon - Jan. 08, 2013 It's not based on Ruby and Sapphire? I added that and the website and release date. I think it looks good, personally and something a bit different. Also, I think it will sell pretty well, almost all Pokemon Games seem to do pretty well. RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Clonetos - Jan. 08, 2013 I for one am just amazed, I saw this and screamed like a school girl (Hey now no laughing XD) I am just amazed and in awe at how much pokemon has come, And now to see a Sixth generation is just heartwarming, I for one will welcome these games with open arms and play, and love them like the previous ones. Oh pokemon how I love you RE: Pokemon X and Y! - C a o S³ - Jan. 08, 2013 I have read something about this, so the sixth generation is near. I also saw the three new starter (To has posted the video where they appear), I don't like them very much but...ok. I think that it can be very interesting, I like the new gameplay :') RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Hazel - Jan. 08, 2013 (Jan. 08, 2013 12:51 PM)Cannon Wrote: It's not based on Ruby and Sapphire? No, and anyone expecting Ruby and Sapphire next haven't ever paid any attention to the patterns that Gamefreak goes by. It'll be a while yet before RS remakes, and quite a bit to my own dismay, they won't be sprite-based... I was really hoping to get one more game in that vein, but oh well. So far, I am enthusiastic about this title, though I am not very fond of the starters... RE: Pokemon X and Y! - SwordFIN89 - Jan. 08, 2013 I like it very much. I'll definitely gonna get those games. I really like the looks of this game so far, but Froakie just looks dumb to me, the other two starters are fine IMO. I especially like Fennekin, as it has a fox-like look to it. Reminds me of the coolness of Vulpix & Ninetails. RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Thunder Dome - Jan. 08, 2013 For this to be 3DS only (At the moment) kinda sucks. X and Y really. Those are the strangest pokemon game names I ever heard of. RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Dual - Jan. 08, 2013 Interesting. So now I'll have to go out and buy a 3DS? Dang. The Grass one looks cute, so I might pick that one if the evolutions of it look nice. RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Hazel - Jan. 08, 2013 As most people have pointed out by now, the grass one is very little more than a recolored Oshawott. The Water starter could have potential, but it could also end up another Seismitoad-esque tragedy in Gamefreak's streak of failures with frogs. The fire starter is just too effeminate for my tastes, and I'm not overly fond of foxes... and, I hate Oshawott, so the grass starter is of no interest. RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Dude - Jan. 08, 2013 Guess they finally ran out of colors, huh? Those newer generation Pokémon still look lame, though RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Clonetos - Jan. 08, 2013 (Jan. 08, 2013 4:30 PM)Dude Wrote: Guess they finally ran out of colors, huh? How can you say that when only five pokemon have been introduced? I know I may seem like a fan boy but gosh darn it this is turning to gen 5 all over again! Not saying you can't have an opinion but your basing it off of just 5 pokemon. I for one love the new "mascots" they seem so elegant and elusive with a hint of majestic. I'm just happy to see pokemon graduate from 2D to 3D, That made my entire day that entire trailer made me just so...gosh darn happy! RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Ice³ - Jan. 08, 2013 Not fond of the starters but I'm glad they changed the gameplay up a bit. Looks like I might have to buy a 3DS now! Well I can't argue with a gut since when I usually do it just says "FEED ME NOW!" but joking aside I feel that this will be phenominal this is gonna take pokemon and jack it up on Awesomeness and crank up the voltage to make this BIG awesome game! But hey that don't mean you can't have an opinion :3 RE: Pokemon X and Y! - ~Mana~ - Jan. 08, 2013 (Jan. 08, 2013 1:40 PM)Thunder Dome Wrote: For this to be 3DS only (At the moment) kinda sucks. X and Y really. Those are the strangest pokemon game names I ever heard of. Strange, yet clever. As shown by the Japanese game logos, the games are named after the two DNA Chromosomes: X and Y. Those starters look absolutely hideous, almost like a fake set we usually see for April Fools. I certainly won't be adjusting myself to them...maybe Fennekin... The two Legendaries seem unrelated for once as well. Well, of course, they both have special DNA to do with them, hence the game names, but they just seem completely opposite, like Groudon and Kyogre were. And being on 3DS; I bought a 3DS especially for Pokemon, as I thought B2W2 (prior to reveal) would be 3DS titles, but turned out not to be. I still have heavy criticism on Game Freak and Nintendo for continuing with the block-style movement, as I was hoping this would be Colosseum/XD-esque, but I guess it makes up for it in terms of visuals. RE: Pokemon X and Y! - 50uNdW4v3 - Jan. 08, 2013 It annoys me when people always complain how terrible newly released Pokemon are. I think they look mostly fine. We had terrible looking Pokemon in the old games. I personally like the Fennec starter, which is odd because I always end up getting Water/Grass starters depending on the game. Edit: I look at them again and now prefer the grass Otter. Oshawott looked terrible, but this actually looks nice. Graphics look neat, but look really weird compared to the older games. And really? I have to get a stupid 3DS to play this game? Wow, I've been using the classic silver DS for all their DS games up until now. RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Luck - Jan. 08, 2013 No. Just no. I was literally JUST reading an interview about how pokemon's not gonna move onto 3DS yet -__-. The legendaries look pretty neat, although , do they remind anyone else of yu-gi-oh monsters (?). but the starters? Really? They look awful , the fire one looks OK i guess, so i might go for him... URGH, now i'm gonna have to get a 3DS. Hmm... Is/what's the new region? Spagehttio? :L well, after two games in Unova in a row , they've gotta move on. And once again , they must say the famous words... " Oh My Gawd ! I found another region ! IT WAS RIGHT NEXT TO US THE WHOLE TIME. LET'S FIND SOME TEN-YEAR-OLD AND DECIDE HIS LIFE! " Hah, I'm absolutely HATING the new view though, and the size of the people? Yuck. toooo big Anyway, I rambled on a fair bit there RE: Pokemon X and Y! - 50uNdW4v3 - Jan. 08, 2013 Also, judging from the pattern they release Pokemon generations, I feel they might add new evolutions to older Pokemon. Quote:Kanto (R/B/G/Y/LF/FR): First series, does not count. Notice how each "yes" introduces a new Eevee form. -Crosses fingers for this to happen in X and Y- RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Luck - Jan. 08, 2013 I WANT THE LEGENDARIES TO BE NEW SPECIAL EVEE FORMS ! OMG that would be epic.... |
