Tourney is currently full, barring cancellations.
You may register for a reserves list, and if you would be able to make it on short notice, (like, if I called you at 12:15 to get there by 1), then you may register for that as well (give me a contact number, preferably mobile, and a name). You'll be given major consideration for the second tourney, and if there are a lot of you, I'll host a second tourney in the near future, the soonest it works for everyone. I apologise for not warning you sooner.
If there are another 12 people though, I'll look into doing blocks, but I sincerely doubt that (and it would be hard to manage)

The reason for the limit is out of interest for attendees. We want you to have the maximum number of battles possible for the first tourney, for everyone's sake. The only format that will give us this is normal Round Robin, which is capped at 12 participants (as otherwise, it is too much work for the committee). Please be understanding, that I'm doing this for the good of our tournament scene, and will work to make up for anyone who misses out Smile

What: An Official Tourney, for Perth Bladers!

When: Sunday, 3rd of July (2011). 12 Noon. Tourney Starts at 1PM, Free Play for the Hour Before. Make sure you arrive at 12, please. Cute
Any later than 12:15, and your position is forfeit. If it's 12 and you're not there yet, text me. Full details are here. My number will be provided in the reminder PM.

Where: Kings Park, Variety Pavillion, or surrounding area.
Here's A Map of Kings Park's Venues It's #33, off Saw Avenue.

ENTRY FEE: 5USD (~$4.70 AU). Free for passport holders. Passports will be $10 USD. (They’re not actual physical objects but you can register for one at the event, and you'll receive a Passport Face once the WBO issues it to you). This is all WBO rules.

Prizes: First Prize: $25 Worth of Beyblade Stuff (Prize-Winners Choice)
Second Prize: $15 Worth of Beyblade Stuff (Prize-Winners Choice).
Notes on Prizes (Click to View)
Whatever the WBO’s funding doesn’t cover prizewise, I’ll cover myself.

Rules: Standard WBO Rules. Here. READ THEM. Plus the 3.6 Update: READ IT TOO!

An extra thing, though it isn't a rule, I'd prefer if, out of respect to stadium owners and the tourney holder (me), people refrained from using MS/M145 unless absolutely necessary. It's not against the rules, but in my opinion there is a risk of damage to stadiums due to improper use, and if there is any ill feeling after the event, I won't be inclined to host again.
I'd rather people didn't use the Rev-Up launcher, as it's not totally fair IMO, but that's a personal opinion, and I'm not going/able to stop you. It'll be cool if we kept it to beylaunchers, though, at least for our first tournament Smile

Format: Round Robin. All players battle each other once, and then the three players with the most wins play round robin against each other, number of wins decides placing. Tie Breakers, again, where necessary. This limits us to 12 places, however.

Please read the the Official Event Guide if you're interested in how things will be/should be run.

[b]Only say you can "definitely attend" if you are 100% sure you can make it (check with parents/guardians before posting, PLEASE)
.
If we end up with only 7 people there on the day because you don't attend, I will hunt you down and launch horrible combo's at you until you are mortally wounded/I get bored. (Storm Cancer 145S: Expect It, All Over Your Face)

I’d love it if everyone could make it (and let’s be honest, we’re in Perth, it’s not like there’s anything else to do), but that probably won't happen. However, if it goes well, I'll look at hosting another, and work it out schedule-wise with the people who couldn't make it to this one. Because I'm a pretty cool guy like that.

So yeah, let's do this thang.

Congrats on winning, th!nk! What do you plan on spending your $25 on?
Ahaha, sadly, as I'm the organiser, I decided beforehand that I'm not eligible for prizes, for fairness. Tokyo boyy and SDC get the $25 and $15 prizes go to them, respectively.

Speaking of which, you guys need to pm me with what you want :p
Hey, are you dissn' my combo's? At least I didn't use a bey like MF-H BasultCapricornM145MS! But yeah, you guys did have better combo's, but really, it's all I could make with my parts (BTW, The combo's I used were mainly MFBasultAquarioGB145RS and EarthBullDF145WD, I really don't have any better). Compared to the MF-H BasultKerbecs230CS that Tokyo Boyy seemed to be spamming (I think that is what it was anyway, and hope you don't mind me saying). And I did manage to KO a Lightning Tank (don't ask me how, I think it was with my BasultAquario). So yeah, I guess I did good.
Oh yeah, Australia time. Your tourneys already over. Congrats th!nk, hope you didn't destroy too many people Wink
Yeah, my tourney's in a couple hours, hah. I'll probably lose though
Hah, tokyo boyy beat one more person than I did (Melvyn900). I didn't really do any damage, most destruction was done by the concrete Uncertain

Which we'll need to work out next time. We'll see. A month or two, max. Might do something in between, but yeah, probably nothing official right away, I want some free 1v1 play, and relaxation, instead of competitive pressures Tongue_out
Yeah, considering my best combos right now are an uncustomized Ray Unicorno and Virgo DF145D, I have no idea what my chances will be. what was your winning combo?
BTW guys, I won't be replacing broken parts next time, but we will hold it somewhere else, or use the grass instead (it was supposed to rain today... Confused) I mean, if my backyard is done up soon-ish, I could even steal deikailo's birthday tourney idea, maybe. I dunno. We'll see Tongue_out

Winning combo was MF-H Basalt Kerbecs TH220CS. Not invincible, but very convincing. I used a similar combo earlier in the tourney that's very good, maybe a little riskier in some cases, better in others. I used a bunch of stuff, but that CS combo was by far the best.

Tokyo Boyy's MF-H Basalt Kerbecs 230CS pretty much won him every match (along with some great shooting), including against my first combo (which would have done better if I'd not chosen the wrong height... Derf). Only upon being in a mirror match with it's slightly shorter offspring did it finally topple and die (much to my relief). Still, it's a scary thing.
I suppose that the winning combo was yours. The similar combo to yours is the other combo you used right?
Winning combo was CS, the one I used early was the one I told you about Tongue_out
Good job, th!nk. Aren't you glad you went ahead and made this happen now?
Hmm. He did mention that it took longer than he expected. How long did it go on for anyways?
AWESOME TH!NK! I told you that you would do awesome if you applied that knowledge you have to your skill. Very awesome job!

Very much, despite the super-long day, I'm really glad you convinced me. I dunno about everyone else, but I had fun, even if I did freeze Tongue_out

Like 4.5 Hours, but we started at 1PM, so yeah. Less free play next time, methinks, and yeah, blocks.

Ahahahaha, more like "Applied that TH170 to a combo". Seriously ridiculous track Tongue_out But yeah, thanks very much man! Grin
Also: we learnt one thing: When I don't get enough sleep, my short term memory is like swiss cheese Tongue_out I am glad SDamonCronous was much more attentive than me. Uncertain

Oh, forgot to say
Thank you to everyone who came and competed and made this day great. You were all excellent, and I couldn't ask for much more from you as attendees. It was really nice to meet you all, and I'll definitely be hosting again in future (probably the near future) Tongue_out
Of course, we all need a bit of time to practice, or it'll just be a rematch, and I need to get some new parts and stuff, so it won't be right away. Keep that in mind, okay? If it's a little further away, it makes it a bit more likely I'll have this ordering thing sorted. Tongue_out

So, I hope you all had a good time, hey Smile
when is the next date for Perth beyblade tournament because you did say that you would let people know when there will be the next tourney for those people who missed out Smile

Hm, you seem to be really against that sort of Basalt combinations winning all the tournaments usually, and replacing 230 with TH170 is not necessarily something that someone needs to be fully awake to think of.
We're friends and had discussed stuff before the tourney. He's just congratulating me as most friends would. No need to start an argument here Smile

@Jaydevilman: No exact date, but within the next couple of months. Organising a tourney isn't that easy, and I have other things to do outside of beyblade.
Just as a note, am I the only one with a cold from being out there for 5 hours? I had to miss school today (that, and I had an assignment due I hadn't started Smile )
My throat is worse today, but incubation period for colds says "not really my fault" Tongue_out Though the bitter cold we battled in obviously would have weakened your immune system.
Congrats th!nk, Tokyo Boyy and SDamonCronous for being top three
I literally slept in till 5PM today. Gonna get onto processing the results and payments in a little, got some Renovation work around the house to do Smile

Thanks Sam Grin

umm not sure if anyone got a cold, but naughty boy, on ur assignment, sort of sounds like me Tongue_out
You can't catch a cold from being cold, but being cold weakens your immune system, meaning any present viruses can take hold Tongue_out

I AM ALSO A HUMAN BIOLOGY/ANATOMY STUDENT!

BTW: FWIW Bluezee and Kai-V, the combo's I used, while better than a lot of things against MF LLD BD145LRF, are still only 50-65% against it from what I've seen.
Congrats th!nk winning his first official WBO tournament! You will have five faces soon =p.
Ahahaha, thank you ®.

Writing up all these results, fun fun Smile
Is there any video links by any chance? I really wanna see this cool tournament!
