Times:
* Meet up at 59th St. Columbus Circle at 1:30pm underneath the giant globe.
* Head to Heckscher Playground to set up along with practice and free play at 2:00pm. Registration will take place at this time.
* Official tournament starts at 3:00pm

Like all official WBO tournaments, there will be a $5 entrance fee if you don't have a Blader's Passport. You can buy one at the tournament for $10. As you know it allows you to enter any tournament for the next year without paying the fee, as well as giving you the chance to participate in whatever contests or giveaways the WBO may offer.

So far the judges are ikmv, Armored00taku, and myself. As more people sign up I will seek out more judges. The format of the tournament depends on the number of entrants we get. I have stadiums as well as ikmv, but feel free to bring your own Takara Tomy stadiums. It's better to have more so that the free play runs smoothly. Also, I will pretty closely follow the time schedule set up, so please try to make it on time, if not early.

Additional Comments: I remind you all to be very mindful of your belongings. Let's have fun. The weather should be good around this time. Also, I don't care what any of you say. I like the name I chose! Also, somebody should totally make some awesome graphic for this event. ALSO, DO NOT SPAM THIS THREAD!

I carping love you. Seriously. Furrilz.

Not only is it in Manhatten, it's even better that it's in one of my desirable locations, which is up to W 60th St, AND near my sister's work.

But...I may not still have my (or a) Beyblade (or all of my stuff) by then. Money issues. So I just wanna watch. I don't have to pay to watch, right?
I'm gonna make it. =) well, i'll try if my final animation isnt due all too soon.
Kaji Motomiya: You do not have to pay to watch.
Sky Prince: I hope you make it.
Also, as a suggestion, as a prize, is it possible to use a "gift card"? Like, say, a Target or Toys R Us, or Walmart or whatever Gift Card? Chances are, if you get younger kids playing here, they might wanna buy more Beyblades or other types of toys.

Or instead of Gift Cards, you can do a Beyblade-related prize, liiike...that stadium that comes with the limited edition Storm Pegasus and Lightning L Dragon.
I have beyblade related prizes. Although that gift card thing is a good idea.
Me? A good idea?! [Image: 048.gif]

If you consider it, and if the WBO allows it, depending on the (confirmed) number of participants, probably half to a quarter of the total entrance fee would honestly be a good enough prize.
Wait, I forgot to take Passports into account. I think a good amount would probably be...$20 at most. I feel that a $50 gift card would be a bit too much. If you think it should be higher, probably $30 highest.

Edit:
And instead of one person paying for the prize, all the judges should AT LEAST pitch in, like...what was it called? Swedish or Belgium style or something? Or was it Dutch? Like, paying equal fractions of the total amount.
Nah. All the money collected will be sent to the WBO.
Nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-no. I meant...the prize from your own pocket? Unless, since this is a WBO-sanctioned event, wouldn't the prize have to be paid for by the WBO anyway?
Nope. I paid for the prizes.
Oh, then well, there you go. Go with gift cards if you can't think of something specific.

Or you could throw up a Basalt Horologium (if that's the correct name) for carp and giggles...
Just by the way, we never want prizes to be related to money. It makes it look too much like gambling.

Kaji Motomiya, I am sure someone could lend you one Beyblade to use for the tournament.
I really want to come but this is confusing. Two tourneys on the same day? In the same state? It's hard to choose which one to go to. This could be an issue for others as well as they may want to go to both. Either way, both tournaments will have less attendees than they would if they were on different days.

Stop circumventing the word filter. You've done it twice in this thread already. It's there for a reason. This board always has kids on it.

Dani had told me that I should host because she wanted to socialize or something. I think she might have changed her mind when she found out I didn't want to use King's Games though. I could change my date to a further one if a lot of people want that.
^....Wait, we have a word filter?...Is that why I see some threads with changed words like.....carp, IIRC? I'll edit my posts then. It's a habit of mine, though, so I tend to forget that there are kids here.

Hm, I guess the gift card would be a bad idea. If Cye still has a problem, best I can think of are just Hasbro Beyblades, which are more affordable than import Beyblades. But throwing in "Basalt Horogium" in the "Cup" as a prize, I dunno if you'd wanna do that.

And about borrowing, I'd rather use my own strength (aka my own comboed Bey) when it comes to these tournaments. In terms of competitions, you say that I have trust issues...

Anyway, going to edit my past posts. But I guess I can stop by since my sister works near there, and I can bother her. lol

It is completely up to you. I think more people will come if its at a later date but ikmv ans I had also addressed in the other Kings Games thread that the Kings Games tourney could be on the 20th and this one on the 27th. The final decision is up to you though.
If it's easy to make the King's Games Tourmament on the 20th then you should do that.
im coming

Sure thing. That way, I can get Evan, or should I say, Odin Gray, to play in whichever he chooses and we can all play him.
Upon further thinking, I think this should be put back until April. That way, we can build more hype for it and more attendees. Also, it wont cause conflict with weather. If you wait until April, it would be much warmer and an outdoor venue would be much better at that time rather than having to deal with potentially cold weather. Most people wont want to go to back to back tournaments or wont have the money for it.
Or rather, you talked to Dani. Like I said, if enough users ask me to push it back I will. It seems I won't have enough attendees anyway so it might have to get pushed back.
Then if you need a certain length of time to build hype, how about...late April or so, like somewhere between April 23 to 30th? May to June is the end-of-school time zone, working with finals and final projects and stuff, and anything after that may seem to be too long of a wait.

Though, I dunno if grade schools and high schools usually end in May, I'm just talking about college students who would wanna join...
I would definatly come if it was in April.
me too
