With the release of MHA season 5 approaching soon, I thought a tournament themed after the new season seemed like a great idea. With Froztz hosting a team tournament, I thought it would be great to merge this team event with a theme I came up with, so now froztz and I are hosting this tournament as Co-host.

Team FAQ

How many players can be on a team?
Teams are made up of exactly 3 players.

I don't have a team/haven't joined a team, can I join/what do I do?
If you are not part of a team prior to the tournament you will be assigned to a team prior to tournament start.

How do you play team format?
Basically a team must pick a captain who is responsible for telling the judge prior to match start the order in which the players will play. Each player will play their opponent best of 5. The results of each round are tallied and the team with the most total points wins the match. If there is a tie then the captain must pick a player to represent the team in a tie breaker match.

How does win/lose work in team event?
All rounds results are recorded separately and affect the individual player's ranking. That is to say, if your team gets more total points than the opposing team but you lost your best of 5 match then a lose will be recorded in the rankings for you.

Can each team member use the exact same combo?
In short, yes each team member can use the exact same combo.

How will teams be seeded?
There's no specific rules on team seeding but there are rules based on tournament format and number of players. That said we will be following the "Ranked Seeding for Group Round Robin" within the rules. "To create competitively balanced Groups with an even spread of higher and lower ranked participants," we will be seeding based on the combined total Bey Rank of the 3 players on the team. Teams with a lower combined total will be seeded higher, this will prevent potential "power" teams(teams of all higher ranked players) from being in a group with teams of all new players.

Are team that are already formed, like the lighting red longanus, going to be in the tornment?

1. My Hero Academia Season 5 is going to cover the joint training arc, or Class 1-A Vs. 1-B, so naming it as such was appropriate since this tournament is themed after season 5.
2. This tournament got that name because it is a couple weeks away from when MHA season 5 releases.
3. As you can probably see from the logo, the name is a pun: The class names for the classes that will be battling each other are 1-A and 1-B, and there are Beyblade chassis with those same names.

Oh I remember now, also I was looking at the rules you put in the description, could you tell me where you get those?
I have been looking for specific rules like that, the rulebook doesn't specifically dictate out how the match goes.
Or maybe I can't find it? Would you mind Pming me the Google doc you refer to for rules?

Which rules are you referring to? Most of the rules are in the Organizer's Guide.
For those that are not(i.e. All team members using the same Beyblade) I checked with OP team for clarification.

Actually, it’s going to be different from that, and I’d like to go ahead and announce how teams names are going to go.

So because the theme of the tournament, I wanted to make the team names related as a result. For you people who have watched MHA, you may know that the class names are divided between an A class and B class, and the name of that specific class depends on the year the class is for. So for example, 1-A and 1-B. As most of you probably know, there are Beyblade chassis names that accompany these class names quite well, that being 1A, 1B, 2A, etc.

With this in mind, I would like you all to form your teams, and after that pick a team name from this list. Yes, customization of names is mostly sacrificed, but I wanted to stick with the theme of this tournament and thought this would be a fun way to do it. Once a team name has been picked by a team, I will cross it off and label it as taken.
Team Names:
1A (Taken)
2A
3A (Taken)
4A
1B (Taken)
2B
3B
4B
(I’m aware a couple of these aren’t real Beyblade chassis, but this is supposed to combine both the class names and the chassis names as a sort of theme, so I thought this would still work).
hope you guys have a good time I would go if i lived near it
Looks like there is more interest than expected so we've raised the limit to 9 teams. If you do not plan on coming please leave the event.

Current Teams we have so far are:

Camick BeybladeBlast11 and arka.paul - 1B

official_huddy OKADI and myself - 1A
Me, Matteo, and maybe Rayne will be team 3A (Rayne hasn’t confirmed yet). Letting people know so they know which participants as well as names are taken.
Do we have to call ourselves 1b? Camick had a name and logo 😅 so we kinda wanted to use that

If you add 1B to the name, I’ll allow you to do so (you don’t have to necessarily change the logo though to add it, just the name).

The 1A,2A,3A etc. are to fit the theme of the tournament. I spoke with OP regarding this, since the matches only affect single player record, your official team names can be Stallion lol. For this event think of it like Stallion representing 1B.
Hello Froztz!

I am registered and will be accompanied by my two adults. Is it acceptable for them to rotate who watches the tournament? Please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you!

You can use any launcher as long as it’s not fake. And any beyblade as long as putting different brands on different layers unless it’s a disk or frame and not fake.

They already have 3
Hey guys just to clear up in case there is confusion. I have not agreed to join any team yet. Since we have seen a lot of new player turn out, and it’s the first team event I’ve seen I will be staying a free agent to help out a team that might want or need it.
Even though I'm not coming, I would like to say good luck to all bladers and teams.

AlexTheBlader , it's pretty obvious that I'm your favorite Wink
How many beyblades can you bring

How many beyblades can you bring
You can bring as many as you want. During a match you have to use the same Beyblade for all the best of 5 rounds but you can switch between matches.
