Hey guys it's quieted down with school and sports starting but that makes getting proper set up for tournaments even more important. I'm still a couple bladers short of 8 for an official tournament and see no one telling Blaziken or Yuko anything unless you're PMing them thats great. But also lets keep appropriate discussions active in here so new bladers might see it and know there are tournaments trying to be made here.
If you want to be a tournament host:
Seeing a few of you are having trouble with getting tournaments going, I'm thinking of doing a step by step instructions of setting up tournaments, along with a rough draft of event proposal you can use as a format copy even though at the top of the Officials Event section is says everything you need to include sometimes they end up with one word answers which wont get you buy. I'll also include things of what you need to look for and common problems like tie-breakers, and if bladers aren't paying attention and battle the wrong blader, or if a score gets entered wrong, if somebody leaves early etc.
Format #'s:
8-12 Full Round Robin
finals will be top 3 or 4 (if it's clearly only 3 and the 4th has a much lessor score just do 3, if all 4 are fairly equal do 4)
12-24 Block round robin
min blocks:3 max blocks: 4
min. # in blocks: 4 max # in blocks: 6
Blocks need to be made evenly, either by beypoints or experience. don't put members of the same team in blocks together if at all possible.
finals will be winner of each block
discretionary additions only in a 3 block format, if the #2 bladers in the blocks are deserving like 1 loss less than the winner,
Block Winner score: 5-0
Second place score: 4-1
Take the top 2 in EVERY block. so the championship will be 6 instead of 3. still use discretion with this.
25+ must be double elimination
winner is decided in format no additional rounds needed
If you have the exact #12 use discretion with how many stadiums you're using whether it's full round robin or block, block will go much further so if you're only using 1 or 2 stadiums think about going with block.
as well we've done double elimination with 21 and 23 bladers as well once on purpose once by mistake if you get above 20 double elimination will go much faster than Block round robin.
Nobody wants to hang out for 6-8 hours try to keep it 2-4.

Stuff like that and I hope those #s help blaziken and Yuko. Along with those questions if you need to ask, ask me. Or PM Dark Mousy, Arupaeo, or Kei those are the three I talked to before I started hosting. But make sure you do in full conversations no one or two sentence messages and hit the REPLY but not PM but when doing a conversation back in forth so we can see past messages.
