Martial Arts

I wanna learn the 18 skills of Ninjitsu, though probably impossible. I've done a little self taught scramble of moves from different martial arts, like the jab and straight from boxing, wrestling, low and mid-section kicks, and am trying to learn muay thai knees and elbows. Tongue_out
Seriously, anyone that has any remote interest in ninjutsu should look for a Bujinkan school.
I practice baji quan and pigua zhang. Im not ranked because there arent any schools for it near me. Ive practiced for about four years now. Its featured for its explosive striking power and is sometimes confused for shaolin xingyi quan. It also focuses on spirit as much as physical structure to make a good combination in life itself
There's a place I really want to visit really close to my house so I can learn Brazilian jiu-jitsu. My friend is in it and he said its really cool.
I think there is a bujinkan near me but you have to be 18 to sing up and also i dont think they teach all skills

I do Tai kwan do at Song Moo Dooo.
They let us try with real stuff like swords, nunchucks, and rods.
Most of the swords are wooden. they only let you practice with supervision if you want to use the metal sword, and you can only use it if you are a black belt.
I'm a red belt.
I practice Wing Chun its a very peaceful Martial Art and to me its the best in the world.Eee
I do Taekwondo. I really like doing it. Breaking boards and sparring are the best parts to me but I still enjoy doing the othe things. I'm a Second Degree Black belt and I have 3 stars on my belt.

I do Tae Kwon Do too and I'm a First Degree Black Belt. What do the stars identify?
In my school black belts wait 4 months to test and when they tests and so a certain form, kicking, sparring, breaking boards, etc they receive a star. Once you have 5 stars you can test for a black belt at the upcoming Black belt testing.
I also practice Tae-Kwon-Do i am not ranked as i was taught by my coach/teacher when i was in high school it was a club i did it for three years beginning and am training on my own know looking for a school to continue my mastery of TKD but don't assume because i don't have colored belt that im bad i am a good fighter and had an amazing teacher i also am really good with weapons mainly swords specifically katana and undefeated so far i also plan on learning other arts like Mauy Thai Kung Fu and Karate but for know im focusing mainly on TKD
I was a student of Must Boran since I was 7. After all the train and conditioning my body under went I started learning Tiger Crane style of Hung Gar which has helped reverse a lot of the damage I inflicted on my body. I'm also currently into power lifting and doing strong man competitions. I hope to some day become an Olympic power lifter before I get to old.

It shouldn't. Advancement should be based on skill level not time.
@Thinderdome, how long does it take to become a Black Belt in your schooL?
Taekwondo (WTF style). Been at it for 6 years now... 2nd Dan. Moving up da ranks doe
What do you mean by wtf style
It means World Tae Kwon Do Federation. The stances are more compact or shorter and kicks are faster.
oh i knew what taeknowdo meant but i thought you meant what the carp (ha i beat you to it admins)
I'm starting to practice Escrima/Eskrima. (They can be spelled both ways, mind you.) A very quick style of Filipino Martial Arts. It is a partner of Arnis because it also uses stick fighting, although I have heard that Escrima can be more of an offensive style that Arnis. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.) What inspired me to do Escrima is (Since I am a Filipino myself) because in our times of colonization, since we had no guns back then that were as strong as the Spaniards, the rebels would use Escrima to fight them and they used improvised farming tools, not sticks. I was impressed myself.

Other than that, I have one name to mention: Nightwing. xD
I have been doing Tang Soo Do (form of Korean karate) for 5 years now. I am a red belt with two black stripes on it. After this belt, I have to do my first pretest to black belt then my second pretest. After that I have to do the 5-6 hour black belt test. If I pass that I become a black belt. But....If I mess up on one little thing I have to do the test all over again. I've worked really hard to get this far, and I've gotten much stronger along the way.

It takes around 3 years to get your first black belt, then it takes almost 2 years to get your next. I've been doing Tae Kwon Do since 2007 so next year I'll test for 3rd degree black belt.

I wish my school (and the other schools connected to it) would have it skill based. I'm always ahead of most people at my skill level.
