Like all official WBO tournaments, there will be a $5 entrance fee if you don't have a bladers passport. You can buy one at the tournament for $10 and you will get into official WBO tournaments for free for a year.

Since we're going to be in a playground in Central Park, you are responsible of keeping watch over your beyblades and personal belongings. We are not responsible if anything is lost or stolen. We'd also recommend that if you do intend to take part in the tournament, then bring your own beys. This may sound like an obvious suggestion, but in the past people have come without, expecting to borrow other blader's blades.

Someone stole a Libra 145RF that I threw together to feel out the stadiums/lightly wear a brand new RF. I was kind of mad about that, but the elation from all the kids playing superceded that by like a million.
I got my libra stolen as well as my wolborg ms, black rock Aries, purple Virgo, and a few other parts but just as Cye said in his own way, I was more focused on seeing the kids have fun playing in free play and helping them .
All of those from this event ? Damn, we have a lot of thieves among us ...
Indeed. Even with that being apparent now though, I was still happy to teach. Just not so much at the expense of losing most of my favorite and hard to come by parts.
dude that totally sucks...i feel for you guys

im so gonna post a tourney complaints thread tomarrow lol

... Have you even gone to a tournament yet ? Leave that to people who have, and who really think such a topic is needed. In any case, all of our other tournaments seem to go very well, and this is almost the first time there are so many issues.
Its mostly the competitions with:
  • Expo events
  • With Large turnouts.

That is for theft, and even then sometimes we do not get that many reports after such events.

There are a lot of other issues with this tournament though.
There were a lot of issues because there was a huge turnout and so theft can occur, also the rules weren't exactly clarified since the hosts, except for MorningMess, aren't actual beybladers and probably had the rules briefed to them, however this is the first NYC tournament out of hopefully many to come. Parents left on a bad note and some even said they probably might not bring their children here, and I, like Cye, find it really great that parents were actually taking an active role in this with their children, so the Oct 30th event is to redeem that and hopefully be more organized and set more of a standard for future events, keep in mind the one that happened on the 16th was the first in NYC so we should build on our mistakes Smile and make better tournaments Smile there's no use complaining anymore, stuff happened and it can't be changed all we can do is make sure it doesn't happen again Smile
I'm shocked that so much theft occurred ... even at our biggest event in Toronto (58 people), I don't remember there being any reports of theft.
If so many were stolen at the same place, and if other tourneys didn't have as many stolen, than maybe one or two people stole all of those. Or maybe it was one/all of those greedy little kids. Kids envy stuff they don't know much about...

Also, the WBO could make like a reassurance test so that the tournament judges know the rules fully. Questions like what a re-shoot clause is or what wheel is not allowed by standard rules. Judges should be registered into the WBO also.

I lost my Beylauncher + Launcher Grip at Fray, but that was more I lent it to some little kid and he never gave it back than a theft.
you also have to remember it was in one of the largest cities, so of course this was bound to happen, but that much was not expected
I have to find a way to make sure this doesn't happen during my tournament on Oct 30th...
Hmm i know what hehe Smile
I gotta make sure to turn things around so people like these tournies more in NYC Smile

BTW the TOURNAMENT VIDEO will be up tommorow for everyone to see Smile!!!!

Same place on Oct. 30th it's going to be more organized Smile

BDaichi I solved it myself Smile

We'll keep an area for Book Bags and things like that, as that's what gets stolen from the most, All judges will keep an eye on those at all times.
When signing up, everyone will have to abide by the rules that try sign for, one of them being that if a balder borrows something over to someone else during the tournament a judge must be notified so we can document it, so If anything is stolen we will know who did it, and that end we will also stop anyone who is about to leave after having borrowed something and not returning it.
As for the organizing of the tournament I already have it planned out Smile but I'll explain on my thread once it's approved! Smile
cool my team will be there
yunglync139,chops12311,flamepum1,yungtiger139,kenny140,ricky140,johnthewold and myself
cool nine people are confirmed for this tourney on october 30th including me
If I am home during that time I'll be in.
Hey guys sorry for the really late reply. My internet got cut off on the 16th and I can't get everyones battle records down and send in the money for the people who bought a bladers passport. Hopefully by late next week or early next week everything will be sent in and that stuff.

Bluezee and everyone else who got mixed up
As I said many times that day, it my fault that whatever happened, happened. I got the rules mixed up, yeah I get it for the 10th time. Just next time, please don't shove it in my face even after I have addressed the problem, noticed it and tried to do something reasonable about it. It's my first tournament, go easy on me. I promise the next time I host a tournament around Spring Break or the end of the school year that it would be a lot better and more organized.
