[Los Angeles CA, USA] LA Tournament

But for sure, October 29th, we should have a tournament with costumes and everything. Someone help me come up with names.

I don't know, "Spin-off Before Midnight," or "Midnight before Burst?" Just randomly picking out names.

We also have to take in the breaks that we've had during free play at the last couple tournaments. I kinda wanna hold off on plastics until I feel that it can be done properly, but then this is a group thing, so whatever the majority wants to do, we'll do.

I've been wanting to test that format for a while. My main concern, though, has been the length of a normal tournament. By the time that's over, people have been tired and ready to go. I believe our priority should be getting as many ranked tournaments under our belt as we can. But if we can do so when we have a block round robin, I'm all for it.

I want to see a Plastics event as well, but with the releasing of Burst and having plastics to loan it is probably best to do Burst for October. Regardless of the format we should still use "Night of The Spinning Dead II", LA could use a reoccurring event.

For this month we should try for the 24th, most likely Burst, unless anyone wants to try doing Plastics, since October is when the western release for Burst will likely gain a surge in popularity.

Side note: the spreadsheets for the previous event have been sent in, I am waiting on a response.

And For this one, if we try out the experimental format as a side event, then I like the title "Out of the Odinsleep!", or something lie that? What do you guys think?

"Night of the Spinning Dead II: Electric Boogaloo"
I think that we'll go with the name that JoJo came up with. Also, I think it would be okay to use this month as kind of a bye month and plus it gives us more time to advertise this tournament and stuff. I'll go ahead and host this one unless anyone else wants to do so.

Night of the Spinning Dead II: ???

Breakdown
Wars End

Unconfirmed:
Guys what about the title "Nobody expects the Beyblade Inquisition!"?
You guys really love brainstorming tournament names!
Lol I was just kidding about the electric boogaloo name. You don't have to use it.
I will work on a poster for the next NTSD tournament.
I don't normally suggest names, but "Night of The Spinning Dead II: Life After Death" works well to reference zombie types, earthwolf's idea to reference them seems fitting.

Using this as a bye month is fine.

Oh my gosh YES!!
I just signed up for this website so I am a bit confused. How often do you guys have tournaments? It seems about 1 every month. Also is there a way i can get notifications when there is an upcoming tournament or do i need to check this site every day

You can register yourself on the map and you will get notifications every time a tournament has been officialised.

Also, you can go to your user CP and change your subscription settings so that you are sent an email whenever someone posts. We are taking a break this month, but plan on having an event on the 29th of October. If you guys want to bring a costume/cosplay, that would be great!
Gonna bring this up again so people can confirm whether or not they'll be able to make it. *ahem* @[RacingCheetahz] lol

Hi AverageJoe; as others mostly explained you can sign up for the BeyMap and you can also sign up for email subscriptions for this thread.

We're working hard behind the scenes to make it way easier to find out when there's a tournament near you, but it will take a bit longer to complete.

Grats on your next tournament, can't wait to see the spoopy video
Please don't use the Electric Boogaloo title lol. I was just joking earlier. I really like "Life After Death" though.
How about we call the tournament "Night of the Spinning Dead II:Nobody Expects the Beyblade Inquisition"

Since this is going to be a NotSD,it should be Standard format like the first one.
It's really between Standard and Burst, obviously Burst is gaining in popularity, but now that we know Hasbro won't be releasing Burst in the US until January next year, we don't really have to accommodate the surge in ownership of Hasbro parts.

It would probably be a good change of pace to have a Standard event, Plastics would be particularly appropriate I think, but we would need to make sure we can provide parts, and we often end up with more participants than we have listed.
The official tournament topic is up!

Night of the Spinning Dead II: Full Metal Nightmare
Just curious, are there any big international tournaments from people around the world?

The closest thing to that would be AnimeNorth, a yearly event in May in Toronto, Canada. They used to have qualifiers where the winner would be able to attend with expenses taken care of, but it wasn't done last year. But next year, you never know!
Now that the Night of the spinning dead has ended, we wanted to see what you guys think about having a team and/or plastics format tournament. If some of you can't afford plastics, Team Shellshock has enough to lend out to a reasonably sized crowd or you can look at some of the sellers here, most of which have great parts for low prices. But for a team tourney, we need more members on Team Lynx and I believe at least two other teams of three.

These are two formats that we(Team Shellshock) want to do along with MFB and Burst, but we need to know that there's an interest in them first.

I personally think that there would be more interest in Burst and MFB since for the younger people they don't have much experience with HMS and plastics
