This tournament will be run using an adjusted ruleset based off of the proposed 4D format for Metal Fight Beyblade. In this format, you can use all Beyblade parts from the Metal Fight Beyblade generation except for the following:

  •    All Synchrom (two chrome wheel) Beyblades
  •    Diablo [4D + Hyperblade]
  •    Duo [4D]
  •    Phantom [4D + Hyperblade]
  •    Flash [4D + Hyperblade]
  •    Death [4D + Hyperblade]
  •    BD145
  •    E230
Zero-G/Shogun Steel Chrome/Warrior Wheels

You may not combine Zero-G/Shogun Steel Chrome/Warrior Wheels and “Synchrome” them together in 4D Format. You may use Chrome/Warrior Wheels with Crystal Wheels.

Host: The Supreme One

Format: The format for this event is the Metal Fight Beyblade experimental 4D format. Please read the legal parts list above prior to confirming your attendance to ensure that you or your child have the appropriate equipment to compete. Legal parts / launchers may be shared between participants, but will not be lent out by event staff.

Location: MLK Jr. Recreational Park

Time: As the tournament will start promptly at 12:00pm, please plan to arrive around 11:30am when registration will begin. Registration will close at 11:55am. Confirming your attendance on the WBO event page does not substitute for registration at the venue.

Other Information:
Please come prepared. It is helpful for both hosts and judges if all participants bring at least one Takara Tomy or Hasbro-manufactured Beyblade of their own and more than one launcher when possible. Additionally, parents of children under the age of 13 must be present for the duration of the event, as tournament end times can be difficult to estimate, and we would hate for someone to be left behind once it is over.

Be aware of your belongings. We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

All players must arrive on-time. The tournament will begin no later than 12:00 PM and is expected to run for about 3 hours, though if there is a large turnout it may take longer. Please plan accordingly. If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.

Geez, that banlist though...
Hey all, looking forward to this one! Given the last minute notice of this event, I just want you to know that regardless of turnout I will still commit to running this event round robin style so we can get some valuable data on future opportunities to adjust the 4D format banlist.

In addition, after extensive testing I have decided to add Phantom back to the banlist in order to more directly measure the success of attackers like Hell, Blitz, Big Bang, L-Drago Guardian, Variares, and Fang against strong balance types like Basalt 230.
One addition! Since we'll have some time between the two tournaments, please bring your WORST burst beyblades! We'll be doing a side event where you make the worst possible beyblade for your opponent to use Smile
Congratulations to our top 3! You can find my tournament report here.
