I gotta add my two cents to this Dt. Remember BeyWheelz, BeyRaiderz, and BeyWarriors? If I'm not mistaken, that was Hasbro creating original Beys, but that's something entirely different. For the regular toyline, Hasbro is essentially supposed to take what Takara Tomy releases and release it in other countries, right? Now with Burst, the Hasbro line has undergone several changes, some more excusable than others. Like the change of teeth to slopes. In some cases, slopes made the Layer better, like Hasbro's Jormuntor J2 compared to Takara Tomy's Jail Jormungand. In other cases, not so much, like Hasbro's Nepstrius compared to Takara Tomy's Neptune. So imo, while changing teeth to slopes wasn't what we wanted, it's not too bad. But this? Nah fam. It's basically Metal Fury 2.0. Hasbro already keeps their stuff under wraps for the most part all the way up until the actual release. Bc of this, people might have their expectations set a little high. Combined with Hasbro actually doing a pretty good job with Evolution, it's not bad to think they would do the same with Turbo. Of course though, as we got more and more info, things didn't look that way. So, to get to the point, if you take the main gimmick for an entire toyline, change it for the counterpart, and expect people to not be upset, that's kinda crazy. Tbh, I've thought of switching to TT, but at this point, it's too late for ya boi. Even though TT Burst is awesome, if I were to collect it, I'd want to get every release, that's just not gonna happen rn. Coupled with the fact that I have most of the Hasbro releases, I gotta stick with Hasbro. Doesn't mean I'm going to defend them for their actions, especially with this. But hey, while there's probably not much hope with how these parts are going to perform, somebody's gotta test them. If I gotta be that guy, hey, I'll do it.

See, I can understand why you wouldn't be angry, that last paragraph sums it up perfectly. Back then this exact situation happened to me and I felt so left out and super disappointed by the announcement of light unchangable 4D wheels.

If you have access to imports of the actual thing there's less reasons to be angry besides inaccuracies which Hasbro hasn't been doing that well of anyway. I'd imagine Hasbro only bladers who want a beyblade that either feels like an authentic Cho Z or wanted a beyblade comparable to TT's line would be upset.

I completely understand this perspective, honestly. I'm fortunate to have access to both and don't have that previous experience with Hasbro because this is my first collection in a long time (I skipped the entire metal series).

I'd say Hasbro has made a lot of strong choices over the course of Switchstrike, concluding with the amazing Tournament Collection, which is likely better than any set TT has produced for Burst (bold statement, I know). This is the beginning of a new line, let's see where it goes and be optimistic, for the most part. This is coming from someone who has been hugely critical of Hasbro in the past. I do feel they have a plan with this new line and must've known there would be a negative reaction to omitting metal.

That is true I suppose, but at the same time I think Hasbro focuses less on the competitive scene, or rather on the tournament scene and seems to focus more on casual play, the Slingshock gimmicks are pretty much like the RC gimmicks in a sense, it's mainly made for their playfulness. At least that's how I'm seeing these.

I do agree Hasbro has made a home run with that awesome tournament set, and it's probably more of a reason why people have a sour tastes in their mouths when this came almost right after. Even though I am a Hasbruh, I hope Hasbro gets backlash for this. Because if you think about it, this isn't what we wanted. I don't think anyone got up one day and wanted Hasbro to sacrifice the entire gimmick of a toyline for another one that probably won't be good (I'll test it though for sure). So for me, I really hope Hasbro can release a "Hyperblades Burst" or a "Beyblade Burst Legends" or something. That's what we really need. Yeah I know, not being happy over the very drastic changes which took away the point of Cho Z is understandable, and it's alright to give our own thoughts into it, we don't all have to blindly love or hate them after all. If anything I think more people would be inclined to agree with you than not. Even though I really dislike their strategy, I think it would be fair if Hasbro Bladers did get a taste of actual Cho Z metal beyblades.

Yeah, for me, yo, before we even had any info on Turbo, I was like, if we get Cho-Z with slopes, this might finally be our chance to potentially do well in tournaments. Especially if Hasbro gave stuff decent to great slopes. In that case, some Hasbro stuff would've probably gotten banned, but still, it would've been powerful enough for Hasbruhs to potentially place. So when we get this, it's basically like, there goes our chances of really placing any time soon. These parts might do well in a Burst Limited Format, which could be pretty interesting, but time will tell. And as far as a Hasbro-Only Format, people don't host, which sucks, but even if they did, let's be real, in most cases, I think I'd have a better shot with a great SwitchStrike combo as opposed as a Turbo combo. But with testing of course, we'll be able to find out what's good and what's not and where these new parts rank.

Also, you wanna know what I just realized? Even if Hasbro decides to release a "Hyperblades Burst" or a "Beyblade Burst Legends", think about the time they'd probably release it. If they release it in the ballpark of 6 months to a year from now, guess what? It might not even matter. Bc at that point, TT will probably have Cho-Z stuff released that basically relegates the two potential series I mentioned earlier to niche use if you think about it. Now, I'm not saying this is 100% going to happen, but there's a high chance that it could if Hasbro decides to do this. It's just a little too late. And that's the main reason why tons of great Hasbro stuff that has been released never really got the chance to make an impact on the meta like the TT version did. Bc once the Hasbro version came out, it was already too late. TT was already at a position where most of those parts didn't even matter anymore.

I’m with 80% of the people on this page. The new system is interesting for sure, and I enjoy the idea of having original versions of TT drivers, but the lax on the metal layers is downright pathetic. Of course there’s always potential for a more accurate series of these to release but until then, Takara Tomy has my wallet.

Anyway this is just me and my friends reacting to "TURBO LAYERS HAS NO METAL ?!"
To argue more : there is no reason for Hasbro to remove the metal (it's just cheaper to produce)
I'm ok with a new inovative system, why not, it can be interesting
But since the beggining of Burst they completely forget something : Beyblade is a big universe mostly guide by the anime. Kids want to have the exact bey of the characters they like. So by making products which don't follow the anime they penalize their own marketing. Metal is a the main feature of the beys in the season 3, they must not neglect it.
You can think that kids are not so smart to notice the difference, but I met kids from 6 to over 13 and all notice that the Hasbro strike valtryek is a scam, they all ask me where they can find the real one with ultimate reboot. I think Hasbro just messed up all the line

I've been importing, recently. Glad I jumped ship.

After 1 year of haphazard reshuffling/omission of parts and altered paint schemes, we got a solid year of mostly faithful adaptations. We're suddenly back to this nonsense. Has there been any official mention of metal included on the new beys?

I'm apprehensive...

Seems to me like they want everything balanced equally around the basic/dual layers, but decided that after they released the beginning of Switchstrike. I suppose this explains why they're still producing so many of the dual layers at least, but even then it makes the Dual Layers+Turbo lines compatible and more or less kicks Switchstrike out as too OP. That just feels wrong to me.

I don't like it personally, but I suppose having a WV that can compete on equal grounds with other dual layer beys isn't the worst thing ever even if its a bitter pill to swallow. I'll have to think about this one.

Cincinnati-based Organizer, and owner of every single currently released TT Burst bey part in at least one color. Hard to think of anything I don't have from MFB either...

Unfortunately Luinor L4 is confirmed to have no metal either. It's also 11 grams, which makes this the lightest non BSB left spin layer, and in terms of weight it's a downgrade to even L2.

I think that hasbro is trying to avoid adding metal pieces on there beys because it will slow them down so that they can go faster and burst more.

Just purchased them. Honestly, I haven't tested them at all, but from strictly an aesthetic standpoint, 3/4 are really nice. Wonder Valtryek V4 is very different from the original but still very nice. Z Achilles A4, my favourite of the bunch, is also super nice and crisp. Only issue is the driver, which lost the gimmick, which... sucks. They really made sure these two, in particular, had plenty of colours and details. Forneus is pretty nice, as well. The silver paint is shiny and the rest is pretty simple, however, the driver is awkward looking and with Forneus, it's even more awkward looking from the side. Finally, Luinor is ugly and cheap looking. It's almost like something you'd find as a prize from a Happy Meal. It's missing many details, the driver looks clunky and just unappealing. Easily the worst of the 4.

Highly recommend watch Zankye's videos for details and seeing them in action. So far, they're pretty OK.

I feel that the driver for Achilles would suit a Dranzer more to be honest.

I think Achilles more flat red sword parts look fairly nice, Luinor and Forneus, now that I see the comparison look noticeably cheap, and the Yard looks ugly and also lost it's gimmick.
