Hasbro Beyblade Burst - Upcoming Release & Rumor Thread

Like Titanium says, Regnar is a much older name than a video game character's name.

In my opinion religion should stay out from EVERYTHING, i wish we could go back to what we had in plastic gen (bit beasts/power). They were extremely cool.

Beyblade is heavily steeped in mythology. Not usually Christian, MFB in particular was far more Greco-Roman due to the fact that most were based off of constellations and it was their culture that defined most of them. Even ignoring the fact that the God Ares showed up in that line, there's just so much Greco-Roman religious references in every single bey in that line until Zero-G.

The big 4 of Plastics, Dragoon, Dranzer, Draciel, and Driger, also have religious backgrounds of four holy beasts, with Strata/Gaia Dragoon as the 5th and final beast. Five of the Zero-G beys were planned to reference the same things, though Whiger and Garudas never released outside of a Japanese video game and we're never released.

Cerberus, guard dog of the Underworld, has shown up in every generation so far, but never been offensively based. Phoenixes have also shown up in every gen, and is the single avatar that has represented each of the four types (Attack, Defense, Stamina, and Balance). Both of these have heavy religious backgrounds. So do Pegasus and Unicorns.

If we remove all the religion from Beyblade, we don't have Beyblade any more. Every top released since MFB is based on some religion or mythology from somewhere, and anything from Plastics that isn't generic (e.g. Roller Defenser) has religious connotations to it. If you remove all religious or mythological identities from them, you're left with only basic descriptors to name things off of.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather learn that Valkyrie is based off of Norse mythology instead of just calling it "Tri-Blade Warrior" or something like that.

No myths and no religion means no Beyblade as we know it.

I understand why Hasbro would strip some names out, but they truly went way too far with it from the beginning of Burst, and there's a reason why I utterly despise Hasbro's naming conventions for it.

When it comes to names like Satan, sure, I get that. Parents in the states don't really want kids playing with Satan, I get that. Same with Cancer in MFB, nobody wants to buy Cancer even if they're talking about the astrological crab and not the disease. There's no reason to change Unicorn, or Valkyrie, or Spriggan even with the myths behind them.

My only question about this is how can Hasbro make such great box art, yet such trashy Beyblades?
Honestly the boxes and logo are real nice, the colors and translucency on ambush achilles are lovely (not the detail though), and I like the design of hydra posiedon.

Welp that's it for my compliments, you know all there is to say about the rest and fierce bazilisk is roar genesis if it inhaled too many highlighters. Actual fever dream of a bey.

Fierce Bazilisk confused me for a second, I thought that was the Roar Blade. Got that bubblegum colour tho. Have to say that the Poseidon core looks pretty nice.

We're all gonna die.
(Also the lack of advertising/fanfare is puzzling to me, how come I've not seen a single ad?)

And something else I wish they do: let us see who designed the beys and hear the design process. I really want to learn about how the abominations  beys came out.

I think these existing is scary to me. Ever since I declared out of the TT-Hasbro Wars, another one of these shows up to torment me. I'm also tormented by a bad thought that for Beyblade to Stand, TF must fall.
Chain Poseidon actually looks good. I expect it to perform like trash, but that orange and black layer works very well, and the red center accents it even more.

Fierce is hilariously colored. I love it, might actually be decent-ish?

Hydra is nothing like I expected. I don't know what to make of that. Kerbeus looks like a prototype, not a full release.

Ambush just looks... disappointing. Nidhogg is an interesting looking core for it, but Achilles? Eh... Good color, wrong spin direction, doesn't really feel right to me.

Gambit Dragon is a travesty. Please tell me who needs to get fired for this one, we all know it needs to happen for this lack of any sort of color.

Chill, no need for the hyperbole. This hardly affects you or any customers in Asia.

The short answer is, you live in Singapore, which is not a market that Hasbro caters to. The long answer is, even in North America, Hasbro barely does commercial or advertising for Beyblade, other than their recent BeyTeam promotions.

It's not the design team that is responsible for this. I hear this misconception a lot. The design team is made up of the Japanese designer (named "Hama"), and his designs are modified and refined by the Hasbro design team. The problem is, corporate gives the design team a number of constraints (including budgets) that they have to work within. For example, even if the design team asked for say 10 cents worth of paint, if they can only use 5 cents on Gambit Dragon D8, they can only use 5 cents. You can see this in Hasbro's Star Wars toyline (which is why Stormtroopers exist in multiple waves - they require almost no paint for most of the body).

So don't blame the design team, blame the upper management in corporate that wants to squeeze out as much profit as possible by lowering costs.

There are no "TT-Hasbro Wars". TT and Hasbro have been collaborating on all brands, and with Transformers in particular, they are developing and releasing them together. Transformers have Takara Tomy backing the products to ensure they work in the Japanese market - Transformers in Japan, Asia, and North America, are identical. It is highly unlikely that Hasbro Beyblade, considered unimportant by Hasbro, will affect the joint Takara Tomy/Hasbro Transformers toyline, because they are unrelated to the Beyblade section of the company. This is not to mention Transformers is a much more profitable and successful toyline for Hasbro than Beyblade could ever dream to be.

The cost of box art is much, much, lower than product R&D. Also keep in mind, whatever you print on the box doesn't affect the budget for boxes. The reason why Hasbro Beyblades are poor is because the budget allocated per product seems to be lowering. The cost for all box art/cardboard is consistent, while the total cost of producing an individual Beyblade such as Katana Muramasa M7 vs Gambit Dragon D8 for example, can vary.

Well I say "War" becuz I'm still traumatised and weighed down by my arguments for Hasbro Beys that got me in trouble, so much so I somewhat developed Hasbro Beyblade phobia and avoided such content like the plague.

Bruh, there's absolutely nothing good about this. This is a freaking disgrace.
Might be treated as offtop but just want to make a point: it's not just Beyblade that's being downgraded by Hasbro. For example:

MaXiMiZE ProFit in action right there folks. Bad plastic, gimmicks removed, sounds familiar? (BTW no i'm not this guy, just stumbled across this video)

Nerf in general has been another example of cost-cutting/worse than their previous releases. If you buy a mainline Nerf blaster these days, they are objectively worse than what Hasbro put out 5 years ago - in terms of plastic quality, paint applications, and performance. Instead of improving or innovating their mainline products, they seem content selling brand crossover blasters (such as Fortnite) or introducing pointless overpriced gimmick blasters (such as Ultra, Hyper, and now Gelfire) rather than improving their mainline products.

Be wary of that guy he likes to really exaggerate certain features aswell as mistransforming them

More QS news

Stellar Hyperion (Starter)
Xiphoid Knight (Single)
Pandora Evasive (Single)

QS String (Could be a recycle of the supergrip that had a same name or regardless recycled launcher but if it is a string cool so long they make the string longer).

This stuff seems Wave 2 QS
Stellar Hyperion and Pandora... Man, it's always a real shame when such cool names are stuck with hasbro only.
ok ok i know pro-series isnt even on sparking yet but like- if we get to DB/BU with pro-series than the least they can do is make magma ifrit😭😭

Official info, next wave seem sparking pro series and all 3 seem to be stock.

Bunch of other QS stuff other than the one new disk nothing special same garbage.

The new launcher seems a reskin of the power spark which is fine if it is.

Pro is cool rest looks garbage.
If the whole name of Pandora Endless refer to Pandora's box or the contents within it,

that could explain why the second word is following.
Good choices to start out the Sparking Pro Series line. Hopefully the next wave will feature at least 1 Beyblade that was a hard to get/set only release. Even though quality control is still an issue, having access to a stand alone pro series Prime Apocolypse and Knockout Odax feels pretty good for collection purposes.
I hope they start selling pro series part packs like they did with their regular beys. I also hope they make a pro series string launcher that's akin to the TT LR string launcher
I thought Hasbro couldn't mess up more after what they did to Valtryek and Regnar, and then I saw Zest Achilles.
