That's hot.
*dies*

Also, PGs are the highest grade, contain an Insane amount of parts, but the detail is impeccable. They come in sizes of upto 1/60 which is fairly big.
I've never inked panels before though, tips?

Definitely gonna pass on the next gen game console and ask my parents to get me a PG instead.

It wasn't even a gundam, evident from name. And old gundam are good too, some of the new series units are based on the old ones like the Murasame is based off the Zeta, but the Zeta is still one of my favourite

i was referring to the gunblastor you quoted, soz for not being too clear
Theres some good Gundams or good price in Japan
I got Strike Freedom Gundam there. There are like alot of gundams you can buy in Japan. The shop i went to had probably all of them, well I'm not really sure, but it had alot.

In approximate dollars, how much were the japanese prices by grade?
Over here:
HG 1/144 = 20-30
HG 1/100 = 25-35
MG = 40-60
PG = 100 onwards

A good guesstimate would be sweet ^^

why not just look up the japanese prices and convert them
I've actually done this

Sometimes online prices and store prices can differ significantly
example: A canadian based website sells the HG 1/100 red frame for 35 CAD Incl. shipping
while a nearby store charges 25
Just curious is all. lol

You mean ... some stores price items higher than others!? Gasp Gasp Gasp !!!
Exactly what i mean, except focusing more on online vs actual hobby store pricing

anyway, i honestly doubt anybody here is rich enough to trifle with a PG

Edit: By that i mean, at the general price they go for, you'd have to be Really into model building.

If you want to skip sanding/trimming off leftover frame runner bits, it can take a 1/144 HG like 30 minutes (took me a while on my first HG only because i wanted to sand everything off).

Took my Unicorn Gundam 1/100 MG about a week or two nonstop. However this model had a skeleton, inner armor (pink Psychoframe) then the actual white armor on top of that.

I think it's fun to build, only that Gundams cost quite a bit of money that will either end up mangled and destroyed out of frustration or will actually be completed and just collect dust on your shelf.

That said I sold my Crossbone Gundam 1/100 MG for $35 built even if it was missing a few pieces/pieces had been cut and or modified. B) (Crossbone Gundam looks cool but the weight distribution and size of the actual completed model sucks)

Remind me why i got into this again?

either

a) the hard-on for anything mecha is pretty stiff or

b) it's relaxing for you to take your time building something (may it be a model, a ship in a bottle)
So, anyone got their hands on the 1/60 PG Red Frame yet? By gods that thing is holy... must get... but so expensive >.>

Holy sh*t.

An assembly video. If you haven't touched a 1/60 yet, look at the later bits around 30:10 while he does the shield. God this thing is huge.

I want one.
Red Frame is cool (Blue Frame 2nd L is cooler though Wink ), but I wouldn't dish out PG prices for that.

If I wanted more models to make, I'll get lots of 1/100 scale models for the price of a PG. Only thing I have standing is my Unicorn Gundam, and I really like things having the same scaling.

However, I would love to have a 1/144 Hildolfr. Too bad it isn't in 1/100, the thing looks huge for a 1/144.

I would like to keep that info confidential.
Anyways, I need to wait before building the others. Patience, patience.

In other words, a lot.

Thanks for clarification. I was sure that no one would get that meaning from what I wrote.

Your models would look so much better with panel lines. Just take a ultra fine Sharpie and SLOWLY outline the every part. I mess up so much while doing this, so I use an eraser and paper towel to clean up bad marks.
