Trufax: There is no effect I hate more than Wah. The ability to make my tone go from one type of horrible to another never appealed to me, for some reason.
I play guitar. Though I'm in a bit of a rut at the moment, just lacking the motivation to play, which is kinda bad seeing as for the first time I've got a reasonably motivated group of Muso's to make some kinda band with.
Guess I should go through my equipment.
Yamaha Pacifica 112 (Strat copy, first guitar, still the most comfortable thing I've held in my hands, ever). Modded with a Dimarzio Stacked Humbucker in the neck (Air Norton S iirc), and a Bareknuckle Nailbomb in the bridge (awesome boutique humbucker).
Greco LP Deluxe Copy (Japanese, 1999): Plays easier than anything I've tried, moreso than the next guitar in this list. Put a HB sized P90 in the neck, because I love P90's. Still the original humbucker. A lower line model, but honestly, Greco were so good that fender bought them out to make licensed fenders, instead of copies.
Gibson Eye: One of 350 in the world, which I got for an insanely low price, because despite it's looks being something I love, most people consider it hideous, and it didn't sell. Got a little chip on one horn (which was probably an excuse to drop the price further). Being a Gibson, though, it needs to visit the shop already, because something has gone funky (I think with the neck bend or something. Either way, even being a pretty decent tech myself, I'm not touching it). When it works though, it plays great, looks greater (to me), and sounds like rock.
DeArmond M72: DeArmond, a fender subsidiary, were closed down by Fender for no apparent reason after producing a number of very cheap, yet very high quality Guild (Electric) reproductions. My dad has an original Guild SG copy, which is amazing, so I had to snatch one of these, plus, I wanted a chambered guitar. Beautiful red quilted maple, nice tone, smooth feel, and again, outplays almost anything.
Ibanez AX7221: My seven string, for when I really want to hammer something home. It's difficult to use a seven string without sounding like boneheaded metal chugga chugga, but yeah. It helps for drop tuned songs, and it sounds great. A little neck heavy, though.
Also have an Epiphone Les Paul Studio (bought some new pickups because the originals were foul). It's nice. And some AXL telecaster thing to just bash around and do weird stuff with.
My main amp is my Hayden Peacemaker 40. Not a well known amp, I love the clean tone, and it can be dirtied up real nice at high volume.
I also have my VHT Classic 6. I regret not getting the special 6, for added mod-ability, as then I could have installed an fx loop. However, they are absolutely mindblowing for the price. 1 6v6, 1 12AX7, nice control setup. Awesome gain, though it's kinda... bluesy? You'd want a overdrive pedal to get more out of it, often.
Getting an Egnater Tweaker 15w head for Christmas. If you haven't heard of them, go google them and look at the rave reviews. Huge tweakability and control is basically perfect for me. I cannot wait.
I also have some ancient amp I was rebuilding, I spent a lot of money working on it (though I was learning whilst doing so), but honestly, there's still a long way to go, and I don't feel up to it. I managed to run mains through my body while working on it, and wrench myself away in time, and as much as I continued after that, I can't work up the enthusiasm, especially considering it all needs re-housing and to be reworked on a breadboard, likely with new transformers too.
Also have a Marshall MG15CDR solid state, which is bleh. Took apart my beginner amp for parts for the amp project, so whatever that was... It no longer exists.
I'm a gear carp. There is no other way to put it.
Main overdrive is a Danelectro Cool Cat Overdrive V1, a clone of a fulltone OCD (close enough that they had to re-release it with a new design). It's amazing as a drive by itself, and to add gain to an already overdriven amp. So much versatility, sweet tone... Yes.
Also have: Boss OD-20 (multi-OD pedal, very versatile), and a Big Muff Pi with Tone Wicker (Fuzz pedal, still in my setup).
My Cool Cat Chorus is from the same line, and it is awesome.
I have a Homebrew Electronics Psilocybe Phaser, an awesome phaser which is versatile, and generally not overpowering like too many others (though it can be with a couple of switch flicks).
Digitech Hardwire Reverb: The digitech hardwire series are amazing, and this reverb pedal is seriously awesome.
TC Electronics Toneprint Flanger (Don't remember the full name): Again, versatile, lush, everything I want.
TC Electronics Polytune: one of the best tuner pedals out, awesome technology.
Boss NS2: Speaks for itself.
I also have a Boss ME-50 Multi FX unit to handle delay and whatever else, though once I get a delay pedal, it'll be less useful, a boss GE-7 Equaliser (modded, apparently) and a DOD FX-747 Supersonic Stereo Flanger, which is kinda buggy. These three aren't currently on my board.
