General GFX Thread

That's a nice, but messy LP you have there othellog Grin

Focus has been doing smudge pretty well recently, He's using liquify IIRC. I'll PM ya a good site where we now gather.

Another Hiatus struck me... At least I still have the skills
I haven't made anything in a while, mostly because I figured I wasn't very good, haha...

So, what do you think?
I just made a few logos for upcoming music production. How are they? I think they're simple and neat.

And you guys got a sneak peak of the new album "Lock On!" that I'm currently working on.
Nice! They look great!

I started to go to this GFX course. They taught us this glow ring effect. This was my first try:

CnC?
Background needs to be more interesting, Rings need to be actually perspective circles, rings need to glow more, need better rendering and depth... Better lighting, etc.

It just looks like brushing with some glow layer styles TBH. Keep trying.
Using a path tool is much more easier (if you're not using it) and keep the colours on linear dodge or screen to make it glow. Also erase at the parts where it's wrapping around him to make that the render is actually in the circle.
I made a GFX with smudge and glow line. CnC

You could change the gradient of the glow...

Also, use a 5PX with Stimulate Pressure checked. The outer glow should be at 75% and at least 10% Size and 5% Spread

Finished those two yesterday or the day before, CnC?
I want to increase my GFX skills. What tips can you give me to improve?
Read tutorials on Deviant Art.
Keep the basics in mind.

That's pretty much it IMO.
Man, nice to see everyone working well for the gfx again.
Might get on posting my new arts here and they got even better but I can't make more cause I am stuck with a laptop that I can't work with...
CnC on my new sig please
Too much topaz and there's empty spaces. It's needs to work on blending, lighting and more into depth.

Too much topaz *cough cough*

Its lacking a lot of blending Syco, I like the flow and the pale colors, but the blending, depth and detail needs work, as well as getting rid of that topaz. KIU Smile

@Az
Those orbs don't work, sadly Unhappy Everything else is dope though, KIU!

New Work, YOLO'd it

From a picture of a Power Coin... (not my personal picture)

To an Illustrator trace of a Power Coin... (fairly easier than it should have been, I might add.)

To... whatever you wanna call this...

Not really looking for critique, since it's not really GFX or a specific design, just a trace with some added details... just wanna know how y'all think I did with my first Illustrator/Photoshop work since like December...

I would have added a little bit more noise to the claw itself, but most of the replica prop Power Coins for morphers don't usually have a grainy effect on the claw itself. The grainy effect on the physical claw on the physical coin is due to the weathering finish, if you strip it of its weathering it's smooth.
Pretty nice quality and detailing there, I like how the background is completely off (as it should be for those type of GFX).

@JC what u did is made a layer of black colour then made it a bit transparent and then with eraser u removed a area it should be better but the text was good.
KUI
I don't think he did just that, probably had a couple of other layers in there.
