Find your rival

As I think of how much my family and I enjoy tournaments and the joy it brings to the community to see their bey skills in action and everyone coming together for a great time. I also ponder the drive that we all have as competitors that keep us pushing on to be the best we can be! A great friend of mine CrisisCrusher07 once told me that finding a sincere rival in your local or general beyblade community can help to push you to be greatness and make the most of this amazing sport we enjoy. I fully agree with him and although I do not have a direct rival, nor do I think I am on the elite level of these bladers, I do have a few I would like to call out and hope to beat someday 😎

Rivals aren't enemies by any means, honestly I think of the names above as my friends, I mean one is even my son haha. Rivals kinda push us to new heights to get better and rivals are bladers we respect. Not to sound too much like the anime but whether it's beyblade, football or wrestling we all need those opponents that keep us growing strong. Vegeta has Goku, Goku has Jiren, in real life Messi has Ronaldo or Steph Curry and the entire NBA 😎 lol. Either way rivals are GREAT! So for those on my list please keep blading hard and I'm gonna do my best to someday play and beat you, even it's only one in either a FGC or WBO deck finals event.

My Rival definitely has to be Hpyher. I taught him how to Blade in September and once he got a Vanish Fafnir on Drift he completely demolished me. Now before this I just thought that I could beat any Bey with stock combos as long as I'm having fun and all that Anime Junk but Hypher taught me that sometimes you've gotta get serious and Anime Stock Combos won't help you in Real Tournaments. He pushed me really hard to become a Better Blader, for example before UnseenBurst Strikes Back I was practicing and studying hard mostly to do my best in the tournaments but mainly to beat Hypher because I knew how seriously strong he was so I decided to put in some serious training just so I could be able to beat him. Now we did face off in the tournament and thanks to all the training from before I went in 2-2 which isn't bad for my First Tournament but I also lost to Hypher in the Tournament, it was actually a really close battle since we both got 2 points off each other and at the end drift barely and yes I'm serious Drift barely pulled through and out spun my combo. Even though it stung I didn't make it to the Top 8 I realized if I was able to beat Hypher I would've gone to Top 8 so now I train a lot to defeat him in battles because if I'm being honest he helped me become way more serious about Beyblade. I'm not saying I don't enjoy the game and I just want to win from now on I'm just saying that I take the Game a bit more seriously and don't underestimate anyone no matter the age or the Bey. Anything can happen in a battle. Hypher taught my a lot even though I was the one who taught him how to Beyblade and I can call him my True Rival. And like StayCool said, just because we're Rivals doesn't mean we're enemies.  I'm proud to call Hypher my True Rival and my Best Friend. :)

I wish I had a rival, I am relatively new to my community though so maybe in time I’ll make some more friends in California and maybe even get a rival out of it!

I've say my biggest rival the TheRogueBlader. While we don't live within a close range, we often call, and I enjoy debating about competitive beyblade with him. Maybe someday we will be able to have a battle. He's definitely the blader I am closest to. Thank you RogueBlader!

Yep! We don’t exactly live near eachother but hopefully one day we can have an amazing battle! If you can fly down to LA, or I come to Texas (which is actually likely because my moms college friend lives in Austin Texas) we can meet up at a tournament! Thanks for being an amazing rival USN!

My Greatest rival is Myself, mostly because I have no one to practice beyblade with, but i still manage to beat myself and create new combos to beat myself, though by beating myself i am losing and winning to myself. Other then Myself my Biggest enemy it either Luck of Physics, because my luck sucks and i never seem to grasp the concept of how beyblade works. Yeah i need actual friends to play beyblade with

Not to offend any California bladers reading this, but everyone in California doesn’t use attack and everyone uses the same kinds of combos, I just wish the community was more balanced. And again, I mean no offense, but the top 2 people of the most recent California tournament had literally the exact same combos. Literally

My rivals are Beybladedb and Plot Armor. They consistently step up their game and are a serious challenge to battle against.
This is a list in no order of players who I would like to battle with again/ someday. And these are just to name a few. I could easily think of 30+ bladers to put on this list. This is a big factor of why I like the game/community, everyone has their own style of playing and building.

Oh yeah, you're not alone on being alone lol. I am on a pretty dead community, so no bladers near ;-;
But also, I'm more of a "support character" if anything. 
I help others and can't win by myself lol. 
Meme ver.: "I'm the kind of guy to see weird parts and unused combos and ask:"Is anyone gonna use that in the tournament?", and not wait for an answer". 
To put it simpler: I'm a tester, not a blader. So I expect no rivals anytime soon.

I don’t think they’d take offense. Play styles vary by area. In our local community, our local city, bladers play way different than other areas of NC. Safe goes for when I travel to Maryland, Florida or Georgia, they’re all different. Hopefully you’ll get that diversity soon. I’m sure it’ll come. Beyblade is continuing to grow with new members in the community with their own play style that tends to shake up the meta

Yeah I guess. I just wish people had more unique combos instead of only using what some people classify as “competetive”

My greatest rival is my friend's friend (who I'll call "R"). Mainly because R and I usually have mirror matches every tourney between just my friends and end up tying more than 20 times...

When I first started playing this game it brought back so many memories from when I was a kid playing with the Plastic Generation Beys. Me and 3 other friends use to play as if we were the Blade Breakers and we each had a character that we represented. I was the Kai of the group and one of my friends was the Tyson of the group. So needless to say we always had this rivalry that even continued into other games as we got older, such as Yu-Gi-Oh! And World of Warcraft. Unfortunately life goes on, and people change and lose interest in some things and gain interest in other things.

When I started playing Burst I was filled with nostalgia from my days of playing with my friends from when I was younger. Now of course I didn’t go to tournaments for the plastics when I was younger, so after playing games like Yu-Gi-Oh! At a competitive level for a long time I naturally wanted to peruse Beyblade at competitive level. And thankfully I had met geetster99 through Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournaments and he told me about the WBO. Naturally I decided to start going to tournaments where I have met so many awesome people like StayCool and his son FG Spriggan.

Over the past Year and a half I have played in many tournaments and have met many people that I would consider my rivals. But one friend of mine that started playing soon after I did has been the main reason I have practiced and played as much as I have. So I wanna say thank you to Allen Schaffer for being a driving force for me to get better and better at this game. However, there are still many more people that I have enjoyed blading and want to keep blading against as they get better at the game. So in no particular order these very skilled bladers are who I would like to keep battling and grow with as Bladers.

I have enjoyed this game more then any of the tcgs we have played together and I have gotten to meet some of coolest people from this game. So thank you for getting me in to bey blading

To be perfectly honest, i do consider people like my cousin and my 2 sisters to be my rivals. I was the one who got them into Beyblade so they kinda hold a competitive hold on my sanity when it comes to blading. They are very sweet tho (And are the only people i've battled who aren't salty af when they lose) and they do make for good opponents.

Back as a kid I played with my brother often, but his interest waned as he grew up while mine remained steadfast in the world of Beyblade. For years afterward I battled alone, absorbing information, learning every little nuance I could, growing my strength in the hope that some day I'd be able to use it... but nobody else was there to face me. My brother remained uninterested, and my parents slowly began to frown on my hobby as I aged into an adult. Only I truly battled, and continued to battle alone, and it seemed like my chance would never come.

Metal Fight came to a close, and I left my collection to sit for a while. It was harder and harder to battle due to my night shift job, so I rarely brought them out. There was simply no time, not when my parents were sleeping upstairs. Of course that night shift job was at Amazon, and to my amazement one shift I opened up a carton from overseas. Inside it resided a collection of Kerbeus Central Defense, a new Burst line? I had to check it out, ordering from my own workplace to check out these new beys. I relearned what I had lost, finally joined the forums to discuss and plan with others, but still nobody was around to fight. Time wore on, and I realized that nothing would change unless I took the initiative. I took my knowledge and became an Organizer, intent on hosting in my area. It was going to be grand.

And then this sick little virus went up and got it cancelled.

That was April 2020, the start of the spread of Covid in the US. My church shut its doors, shifting to online services and cancelling my tournament outright to follow local guidelines. My chance was ruined, but it would come again eventually. It had to, after all the work I put forth to getting things set up the first time. I'd wait out the virus and finally get to host my own tournament, meet new people, and fight hard.

As it turns out, fate had other plans. JA Industries started planning a pair of tournaments up in Carmel Indiana, but they wouldn't let him do two tournaments in one day without a cohost. I ended up taking that spot, becoming the bracket master and taking my first tournament win in club format (though this was later invalidated due to oddities in how it was run). I figured out who among the group was worth paying attention to, the people that could be threatening to my tournament start, and in the end came out victorious in one tournament after defeating Vanish on Drift with Dynamite+F on Orbit. It was a day of new bonds, battle forged in a fledgling community, and one match I will never forget.

Shortly to follow was another tournament in Kentucky, where plenty of people showed up and finally put me on the ranking board map. I won the entire tournament, blasting past the competition and facing yet more friends I had met online. Another series of tournaments in Indiana, many of the same people I had faced before. Rivalries were starting to come out of the woodwork now, each and every one of them a friend. These are my biggest three.
  • JA Industries., by far my biggest rival of them all. We work well together co-hosting tournaments, and we always go all-out whenever we face one another at the stadium. I usually win these encounters, something that has left JA calling me "the Lui Shirosagi to his Shu Kurenai", a badge I wear with honor coming from a strong and respectable opponent with 5 podium finishes (would've been a 6th if he beat me in Fenrir Days).
  • ItsSwift, who has managed on besting me not once but twice in the tournament finals within the same tournament series (the Spooky Series). An honorable and respectable opponent by all means, willing to discuss when things go awry. He pushed me to my very limits each and every time we've met, and I couldn't have asked for anything more.
  • Cake, a man whom I looked up to for years for his Metal Fight knowledge. He may have taught me the basics of the competitive MFB scene with his wisdom, but we'll see if I can master it and pass him by some day.
