Energy Layer: Beast Behemoth/Betromoth B2

Quote:Betromoth B2, known in Japan as Beast Behemoth, is an Energy Layer released as part of the Dual Layer System. It debuted with the release of the B-63 Booster Beast Behemoth Heavy Hold on November 11th, 2016.

==Description==
Betromoth B2 is an overall round and thick Energy Layer, the center of the Layer depicts a beast, like the Layer's name sake, biting down on the circle where the "B" of the Layer resides.

Consisting of a colored bottom layer made up of two jaw like arches and a clear top layer consisting of five, widely spaced blades creating a pinwheel like look, the "jaws" and ends of the clear blades of the layer are covered in small serrations like teeth. While these features may imply that this Layer has a lot or recoil, the height of the layer means that typically only the bottom jaw layer comes into contact with the opposing Beyblade and the slight serrations are too small to cause any noticeable recoil and subsequent stamina loss. Even when the top layer does come into contact, the direction of the blades means that attacks will be deflected away instead of causing heavy impact.

The Takara Tomy release of Betromoth B2 also features 3 tall teeth akin to the Takara Tomy Valtryek V2 making it difficult to Burst.

==Use in Defense Combinations==
Betromoth B2 can be used in the defense combination Betromoth B2 Heavy/Gravity Orbit as the round design of Betromoth B2 along with the stamina and Knock-Out and Burst resistance of Orbit allows the combination to withstand heavy blows without much stamina loss.

==Overall==
Betromoth is a great defensive Layer with strong teeth, however it is still outclassed by other Layers such as Doomscizor D2 because of its relatively rough design. Thus, while not the best, this Layer is a welcome addition to any blader's collection.

As I was examining B2, I realized just how similar it was to K2, so I used my K2 page as a base. Might need some revisions, tell me what you guys think.

from what i have seen in leo bursts videos this layer may have some potential in burst attack. i think its more of an anti attack layer rather than a defensive type layer.Also i wanted to ask this dose the upper layer of B2 comes in contact with upper layer of K2 when they battle against each other.

The part about low recoil is definitely false. Just try it against something like L2 or dF and B2 will get blown to absolute smithereens.
Don't forget the yello one in Random Layer Collection Vol. 6

A lot of things tend to do that when up against those two

This was made before that, give me a minute and I'll edit that in

While true, it's a lot quicker than with other more burst resistant layers like K2.
B2 weighs 8.8g( RB6).original purple one weighs 9g
is there any give in the bottom layer? because from looking at the layer the bottom layer is just two, for a lack of a better word, hoops.
What pieces does it come with in rb vol6

The Takara Tomy release of Beast Behemoth also features 3 tall teeth akin to the Takara Tomy Victory Valkyrie, allowing it to be used in Defense combinations with its moderately low recoil.

==Overall==
Betromoth was a decent Layer for Defense combinations due to its strong teeth and relatively round shape. However, it was outclassed by Dark Deathscyther when it was released and with the release of the Swithc-Strike/God Layer System, Beast Behemoth is too light to be competitive.

As such, Beast Behemoth is recommended for collection purposes only.

==Differences in the Hasbro Version==
Hasbro's release of Betromoth B2 is mostly unchanged in shape with the same low-to-moderate recoil. However, the biggest difference is that Betromoth B2 has much weaker Burst resistance, making it poor in Attack, Defense and Stamina combinations. Furthermore, with the release of the Switch-Strike/God Layer System, Betromoth B2 is too light to be competitive.

As such, Betromoth B2 is recommended for collection purposes only.
