Hey Everyone!

Right after Fall for Classic, we'll be running Burst Standard, but introducing and trial-running Pick 3 Choose 1. We hope this adds an extra layer of strategy in the Group Stage. With that being said, this tournament will be unranked, but will give the WBO some useful data on how Pick 3 Choose 1 affects tournament play!

Our current tournament date is Saturday, October 12th, 2019 at Irving Square Park for a Beyblade Burst Format tournament!

Location:

Our play area will be the Beach Ball Stage in the park. Map of the park is below. The play area is circled in the image below. Entrances to the park are located at each corner as well as the center of the park.

Important Information:

1. Tournament Registration begins at 3:00pm.

Please plan to arrive at Irving Square Park before registration starts. The later you arrive, the longer it will take to start the tournament.

2. The Tournament begins at 3:30pm. Right after Burst Classic.

You will not be able to register after 3:30pm. Even if you are joined to this tournament on this thread, if you are not registered by 3:30pm or arrive after 3:30pm we will be unable to fit you into the bracket.

3. Tournament System:

Depending on the number of participants we will use one of the following systems to run the first stage of this tournament:

Swiss (17 - 32 Players):
Bladers play 5 rounds. After the first round, bladers are paired based on their match history. Bladers with the highest records face each other, then the second-highest, etc. The top eight players advance to the final stage.

Double Elimination (33+ Players):
In Double Elimination, there are two brackets: the Winners Bracket and Losers Bracket. After losing once, Bladers are sent to the Losers Bracket. If they lose for a second time, they are eliminated from the event. Once both brackets have been completed, the top eight players (top four from the Winners Bracket, top four from the Losers Bracket) advance to the final stage.

4. Participant Cap:
Due to space and operations limitations, this tournament will have a 33 PLAYER PARTICIPANT CAPPlease join soon if you would like to participate. Joining secures you a spot on our participant list

PRIZES TO BE DETERMINED!

I'm glad you asked! LazerBeamz requested that I link the thread so he (and other participants as well) can get a better understanding of this experimental ruleset, so here it is: https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Rule-Ch...irst-stage

Wombat, for real though, that post is in the Organizer's Circle: very few people can actually read it. We need a version made of that thread where everyone can read it.
Hey Everyone,

If you are joined to this tourney and want a good opportunity for ranked play, I highly suggest joining my classic tournament earlier in the day: Fall for Classic at 12:00pm. Drago Valkyrie is also one of the prizes for Fall For Classic. It'd be great to see you all try a different format.

No, I’m just saving a spot in both depending on which one is more convenient. I’m most likely going to Maryland though.

I didn't forget. Most unranked tournaments do not have prizes. It's still undetermined if "Easy Pickings" will have any.
