It's time to revive the beyblading scene in Texas!

While it is very short-notice, if anyone else is able to come to the tournament, then please do come! The fact we've managed to scrounge ourselves together to make this happen means more tournaments are a definite possibility!

If you want to talk about future Austin tournaments, feel free to voice that desire in this thread:
https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-austin-...ight=texas

also thanks to @[Wombat] for inspiring the name of this. you hecking pun master

Please be sure to arrive ON TIME for this tournament. We will begin Registration at 12PM and start the tournament shortly thereafter. If you think you're going to be a little bit late, let me know and we may be able to work something out. Thank you!

If you can make it, please hit the blue JOIN TOURNAMENT button at the top of this page! See you all there!

No Bey? No Prob!
Don't have any Beyblades from this new series? No problem! We would be happy to lend a Beyblade and launcher to you to use for the duration of the event!

Please be aware of your belongings: We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

Next, could you try to rekindle the beyblade passion in Kentucky? it would likely be the first tourney there in quite a while
Weird coincident me and Snidmist both are using "Down" disk on our dF for next event as we don't have Frame yet beyhaha

Good luck everyone!

That'll be up to the people in Kentucky to do that. WBO tournaments are fan-run, so that means you or someone else there would need to take initiative in setting one up.
Dang i wish i could go but austin is 5 hours away from where i live and there is no way my parents would drive 5 hours for "stupid toys" as they say. Unhappy
I really wanted to go but my mom and dad said that they have to be told at least 1 week before it takes place, and my mom has a cookie business and she has too many orders Unhappy
My mom will drive me there to the tournament today, but we live in Mckinney, TX and she said we would be pretty late Bc we haven’t left yet and it takes almost 4 hours to get there depending on traffic. Would I still be able to participate in the tournament?

Registrations start at 12, so you should be fine if you make it before 12:30

To all the people saying they could have made it with more notice... yeah. I feel that. I had this tournament scheduled since early December and it was just sitting in the organizer's quiz inbox for a good month because the committee didn't have the time to get to it. Hopefully now that the WBO contibutor's role has expanded, future tournaments won't take as long to be greenlit, and there will be more notice for events.
How late will the tournament last today? Is it worth coming if I can’t get there until 3-3:30pm?

I'm sorry, but probably not. Our time slot at the game store ends at 3.
I talked to Chris at the store before I saw this and we are already on our way. So hopefully people will wanna stick around for some more games bc he said the room is open until the next group comes at 6pm
Thank you to everyone who came out here today! We ended up with 7 participants, including some new players to the game! It was a blast getting to see everyone play, and hopefully next time you guys won't have a ludicrously short time to sign up, haha.
