What is Beyblade Burst?
Beyblade Burst is the brand new, third generation of Beyblade by TAKARA-TOMY! It first launched in Japan in 2015 and was recently released in North America by Hasbro. If you are not familiar with Beyblade Burst, please take a look at the Beyblade Wiki article covering it, the Beyblade General Forum, and the Beyblade Burst Hasbro Topic for the most up to date information about Hasbro's release of the series internationally.

No Bey? No Prob!
Don't have any Beyblades from this new series? No problem! We would be happy to lend a Beyblade and launcher to you to use for the duration of the event!

Side Notes
Please be aware of your belongings: We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

All players must arrive on-time: If you do not arrive at the scheduled start time, you risk being excluded from the tournament. The software we use to run our events–Challonge–does not allow us to add in extra participants once the tournament has started.

If you know in advance that you will be late, please post in this thread or contact someone at the event and depending on the circumstances we can perhaps still include you if we know you will arrive soon.

All questions about this tournament may be asked in this thread.

I'm confused so how much would it cost for me/11yrs old my sister/10 and my mom
And will there be a special guest
(Jan. 25, 2017  1:53 AM)Victor Cruz Wrote: I'm confused so how much would it cost for me/11yrs old my sister/10 and my mom

If you register before Feb. 1, assuming all of the discounts Star City Anime lists on their registration page are applicable, you, your sister, and your grandmother (or another relative over the age of 40) could get all three of your weekend passes for $35 total, but I'll confirm that with SCA and post back here. Worst case scenario, if none of the discounts apply to the reduced early registration fee, the most you would pay before Feb. 1 for three weekend passes would be $60.

EDIT: SCA says all discounts are applied automatically, so the first price should be what you would pay (or $40 total if the adult you two go with is younger than 40).

For special guests, you'll have to wait for Star City Anime to update their website with this year's list of guests or follow them on their Facebook page. Unless you're me, who already considers everyone attending a special guest.  ;P
I'm excited to finally enter another Burst tournament! Gotta figure out what deck to use though
Debating on this.....Who wants me to come?

What kind of question is this, haha?

If you didn't, it would of course raise everyone else' chances to win the prize(s?)... Eee

Feels like one half of you wants me to come and the other half doesn't.

But, hey how good is the dealers room der that's my only concern hehe
Half was a joke; I think you know which half that was. ;)

The vendors' room was really cool last year; there were cosplay items, figurines, apparel, artworks, and even swords for sale! My friend, Morkad, actually got some Metroid and Zelda art from one, and I saw some awesome Legend of Korra and Doctor Who stuff. There were also tons of Japanese snacks and anime memorabilia too, of course, lol.
What is the Prize and how much does it cost for Me/11 years old, my brother/7 years old, and my mom

Assuming you're coming only for Saturday, the total price all three of you would pay, including discounts, is $55 (or $5 off if your mom is over 40).

And prizes will be announced in the coming weeks, so anybody who's interested should keep an eye on this thread!
How much would it cost for my sister 2 years, my brother, 7 years, me, 11 years, my mom, under 40 and a special guest

EDIT: we are coming from out of state and we are wanting to know if there are places in Roanoke that are unsafe to stay

Did you see my response to your last post? Full registration details can be found on Star City Anime's website; click the "REGISTER NOW" link in the event description to go there.

If you're coming from out of state and want to lodge near the convention, I would recommend staying either at the Holiday Inn where SCA is being held or one of the neighboring hotels (there's a Sheraton next door and a couple hotels down the street at Valley View). If you're worried about safety, Roanoke has very few bad parts, and this event is being held far away from them. The Valley View shopping area is one of the nicest parts of town; there are strip malls with shops and restaurants everywhere, and Valley View Mall itself, which has a food court and dozens of stores inside.

So i could probably find stuff for the tournament there, and we might be able to come
How long does the tournament usually last?
(Feb. 22, 2017  11:52 PM)BusyBlader Wrote: How long does the tournament usually last?

Not including freeplay, the main tournament should run from noon till about 3PM. We'll be having some side events after too, though, I'm not sure long those will take.

Also, there will be Takara-Tomy Beyblade Burst products for sale at our booth, but I won't have the final list for at least a couple weeks.
Im doing my best to attend my first event. Working out the details now! So hyped!
I'm going to attend to this wonderful event (May I bring my left launcher and Japanese beys as well) ps:I'm gonna win!
