In the beyblade anime and manga there are a lot of interesting avatar variations and/or inconsistencies, here are some of them:
In the metal fight anime, Poison Serpent had two separate avatar identities. In attack mode it’s beast was Medusa while in defense mode, it’s beast was a large cobra. Interestingly enough, Reiji isn’t the only one person to possess a bey with multiple avatars, Julians Gravity Perseus also possessed two avatars and surprisingly had similarities to Reiji’s Serpent as well. In defense mode it’s avatar was Perseus while in counter mode, it’s avatar was Medusa (wow two bladers using Medusa as a secondary avatar).
A lot of bey terminal avatars were actually quite different from the actual avatars. This was usually because the beys came out before their avatars appeared in the anime. Here are some of the major ones:
World Spriggan’s avatar actually differs between the anime and manga. The manga variation seems to be a larger version of the Spriggan requiem warrior based avatar while the anime version seems to be a more fiery beast-like oni variation.

Kai has the darkest backstory of any of the Bladebreakers. He was raised in an Abbey by his grandfather, who trained him to be a blader. It was during his hellish training that Kai first encountered the Black Dranzer, which caused him to repress his memories of his childhood and flee from the Abbey in order to seek out a new life.
There was a scene involving the Abbey that was censored in the English dub of Beyblade. Kai explores the basement of the Abbey and finds a series of dungeons.
One of the inhabitants of the prison cells is a young boy who lost to Tyson in a match the day before. The loss led to him being imprisoned, with a grisly fate awaiting him in the future. This causes Kai to step away from the cell. All we see in the English dub is Kai backing away from the cell, with no sight of the boy.
