Chapter 5: The BeyMaze!

Reagan and Harold walked to the designated area and tried to find their group, but quickly realized that Roan never told them their groups.

With no groups announced yet, a lot of bladers tried to get in another group, including Reagan.

“Attention everyone!” Yelled Roan. “Here are the groups!” (I’m saving you the long list, so I’ll give you the group with Harold). Roan finally got to Harold’s group.

“Now for the Unranked group! The members are; Rantara Kiyama, Reagan Kugier, Harold Laberdol, and Tyler Warden! Now stop trying to switch groups!” Roan said climbing into a tall chair to watch everyone.

Harold and Reagan walked over to Mark, where Rantara and Tyler were waiting.

“You’re here! Now, let’s get to know each other, what’s your BEYBLADE called?” Mark asked.

Reagan’s nerves were boiling with anger. “Mine is called Shut Up Or I’ll Blast You With My Nerf Gun.”  

“Um… okay, that’s a very intense name! What about you, Tyler?” Asked Mark.

“Um… it’s called Chrome Talos.” Tyler said knida shyly.

“That’s a cool name! Rantara?” The way too happy man said.

“Fireball Ragnaruk!” Rantara said.

“Great! You’re Ranjiro’s twin, right?” Mark asked.

“Yep! He’s in the low ranked group!” Rantara boasted. “He’s claims that he’s very good, but he’ll never be better than Rantaro!”

“Alright! How ‘bout you, Harold?” Mark once again asked.

“Burn Hephaestus, I got the name from the god, Hephaestus.” Harold explained.

“Cool! My BEYBLADE is called Slig-“ Mark was cut off by the sound of a whistle.

“Go!” Roan called out through a megaphone.

The four bladers and the leader ran into their entrance before realizing that it was a maze.

“Do any of you have any siblings that told you the way through?” Mark asked.

“I know the way. I’ve done this camp last year.” Tyler replied. “Follow me!”

The other four followed Tyler. After fifteen seconds of running, they encountered their first challenge. The BeyJump.

The challenge was this; there was a one foot wall that the BEYBLADES had to jump over. There was also a four inch wide ramp to help the BEYBLADES get airborne.

“I’ll go first.” Mark said. “Me and Slightly Agitated Minoboros can do it.”

Mark pulled out both his BEYBLADE and launcher and combined them. “Can I get a countdown?”

“No!” Yelled Reagan.

“Yes!” Yelled the rest of the children.

“3!…2!…1!…Let It Rip!” Exclaimed every kid in the group except Reagan.

Mark spun around while launching as if he was swinging an ax.

“Ax Leap!” Mark exclaimed.

Minoboros threw itself over the wall due to being unbalanced. Mark stepped over the wall and picked up Minoboros.

“Who’s next?” Mark asked. “Harold, How ‘bout you try?”

“Alright.” Harold said as he pulled out his BEYBLADE and launcher.

This time, no one counted down, so Harold just launched.

Harold tried to get Hephaestus to jump up the ramp. Hephaestus didn’t make the jump. Harold was nervous and thought were flowing through his head. What if I can’t make the jump? What if I’m still here? Are they going to leave me? How will I make it through the maze?

Something inside of Harold ignited. All of the sudden, he felt a weird power flowing through him. He looked up, and Hephaestus was standing there. Hephaestus grabbed Harold’s hand and nodded before vanishing.

All of the anxiety and fear in Harold disappeared. Harold had never felt so confident or determined in his life.

“Now, Hephaestus! Heat Rise!” Harold exclaimed.

Hephaestus started to go to the wall. When Hephaestus was half way there, it started to rise up and over the wall.

All of the other people around him were in awe by what Harold said and did.

Harold was also in awe by what he was able to achieve. Harold grabbed Hephaestus, he walked to the side of the challenge where Mark was standing.

Harold was showered in praises and “How’d you do that?”s.

“I don’t know.” Harold replied.

Harold thought about what he did, and how he did it.

“Harold. Harold! HAROLD!” Yelled Reagan.

This made Harold stop thinking about it and listen. “Yeah?”

“We’re going farther into the maze, sleeping beauty.” Reagan said, snickering the last part.

“Alright, I’m coming.” Harold said.

The next challenge was simple and easy. Beat Rising Ragnaruk in the Mugen stadium. Everyone beat this easily.

The exit was in sight. It was directly straight from them. The only thing in between the Bladers and the exit, was a mini golf course. It was Mini BeyGolf.

The challenge was to launch your BEYBLADE and get it in the holes. There were three holes. There had to be one BEYBLADE in each hole.

“Alright everyone, just take your time. There’s no rush.” Mark said.

Colin grabbed the megaphone and yelled into it. “The team that exits the maze first gets a box of pizza every week!”

Every person in the maze started to freak out because they wanted the weekly supply of pizza.

Roan started to calculate the amount of money that they were gonna lose from the weekly pizza.

“Twelve weeks of pizza,” Roan mumbled to himself. “and each pizza is seven dollars and twenty three cents, so that times twelve would be eighty six dollars and seventy six cents.” Roan raised his voice so that Colin could hear. “The twelve pizzas are going to be eighty six dollars and seventy six cents. We’ll split the cost, so we’ll each pay forty three dollars and thirty eight cents, okay?”

“Fine.” Colin sighed.

While that was going on, Harold’s group analyzed the three holes of the mini BeyGolf course.All of the holes were on flat even ground .

“This should be easy, right, Harold?” Reagan cockily said.

“It should be.” Harold replied.

“I’ll skip this one.” Mark announced.

“And I’ll go first.” Reagan said pulling out her launcher and BEYBLADE.

Reagan launched her BEYBLADE.

Rhea started moving side to side before falling over.

No one except Rantara was able to get into the hole.

Tyler remembered how the three BEYBLADES were zigzagging sideways.

“Reagan, launch your BEYBLADE, then after three seconds, I’ll go, then after two, Harold goes. Rantara, launch your BEYBLADE just when, Rhea, Hephaestus, and Talos are about to align in the center. Then hit us so that we all fly into a hole.” Tyler planned.

Reagan launched Rhea. 3…2…1… Tyler launched Talos. 2…1… Harold launched Hephaestus.

“And… NOW!” Tyler yelled.

Rantara launched Ragnaruk. “Bolide Blast!”

——————————now entering the spirit realm——————————

Ragnaruk created a bolide and threw it at Rhea, Hephaestus, and Talos. Just as it was about to hit them, it exploded into many tiny, and powerful pieces hitting all three of them at the same time.

——————————now exiting the spirit realm——————————

The three BEYBLADES were sent flying. Rhea got the far hole. Hephaestus got the closest one, and Talos got the one in the middle.

“Amazing team work guys!” Mark said.

This was followed by a lot of high fives, except from Reagan.

“Come on, Reagan. You know you want to.” Mark said trying to persuade Reagan.

Reagan gave in. “Fine.”

Everyone rushed out the gate.

“We won! Free pizza!” Yelled Harold.

A group of people walked towards them. “We won, noobs.”

The second place team turned around.
