I wouldn't be surprised if they did, acutally. Given that the battle is outside the scope of the tournament, they wouldn't incur any negative side effects on their standing in the tournament.

I doubt that he can’t win a single battle against them. If the episode pans out with being composed of mostly battles then I bet he will beat them at least once.

Spoiler Warning, from the new episode because some YouTube dude got it early.

Aight, so this episode is literally just promotion as believed. The only parts shown from the video was the battle Royale between Wakiya, Drum, Ranjiro, and Aiga. Basically Wyvern just sits in the center and blocks everything with free spin. Dragon hits Wyvern from below, but the metal balls from the Around disk let Wyvern re-balance and return to the center. Even Super Tornado, Infinite Sword (that's twice now, let's see if the official page updates it), and Tempest Break combined lose to Jet Shield, which causes all 3 to collide with the stadium wall and get knocked out.

That's all that was there.

Don't say I didn't warn you about the spoiler, but it's not that much.
