He used it in the battle Royale, that did suck. He also used it to defeat Valt. That kinda sucked but it was required to progress the story to Shu vs Lain.

Vs Aiger was a sus at the very least. But Lain needed no plot armor to burst an Achilles with no attachments. What about all the other times? He couldn’t defeat triple twister, the strongest defense type move of all without plot armor right! Grrrrr. What about when he fell into Luinors attack to counterattack. Just an accident made by plot. Grrrrrr. Or when he created a bey specifically to get past Spryzen and got past Spryzen! It’s not like every aspect of the bey was made to counter Spryzen. Grrr me big mad.

Well, there's reasons for that. Because both Valt and Aiga gained the upper hand against Lane but both lost in BS way. Valt should've crushed Lane when he lost the barrier. And the barrier was not supposed to open by using the crater. The crater increases speed not centrifugal force, so it made no sense, and there's no way Lucifer didn't burst when colided with Brave Sword head on.

I mean either way Valt should and could have won against variant. But the writers didnt let that happen.
