Beyblade Burst Sparking Anime/Manga

Valt's design is alright, classic Valt, though I'd personally make his clothing look a bit more different to distinguish some differences but whatever.

I like that Rantaro's wearing something different, going from a vest to a nifty new shirt. Ranjiro's design doesn't seem that different but that's fine, it keeps it simple. Plus, I've never really cared about the character anyway so whatever.
Not sure how I feel about this silhouette. Assuming every character in the silhouette gets a beyblade upgrade, that's already 9 new beyblades of the season and 10 if that giant light in the middle is hiding the new main character. Main character will inevitably get an upgrade later on so that's 11 pseudo-confirmed beyblades already before the season is even out. I think we're on about 19~ or something original GT beys so far (3 of those being random boosters) and not counting the random layers. Big Bang Genesis is probably the last one so with that taken into account it just feels weird to me how we have approximately more than half of next season's lineup already announced.
I bet the next teaser will be Sisco, Free, then later on Lui, Shu, Drum, Aiga.

Ugh... that’s kinda scaring me...
Cuz if we are still gonna have this 11minute mini episodes instead of the normal episode length...
We might be getting the same rushing problems that we have with GT...

And these boring copy&paste RBV’s.... oh boy...

Just nine of them
I can already tell that every one of the silhouettes is going to come back.

Maybe both Kiyama brothers use the same bey

Yes, but i am wondering that Valios said that there is a new character hidden but there is not seen, i even cannot see his silhouettes.

Valt’s design is a nice throwback, and I love it, even if it is the exact same thing from seasons 1 and 2, you can distinguish the character designs from age.

Rantato’s design I like for sure. Kind of a similar thing with what they did to Valt in the 4th season. Ranjiro is not very different but that’s fine.
From Valt's looks and expression, I am guessing that season 5 takes place 2 or 3 years after GT
Here's a poster edit from the season 5 teaser we got: There are official images of Free and Sisco with similar poses to the ones in the teaser, though none are an exact match so I have left them out for now.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I added the appropriate images in place of the silhouettes, this is not official.
So Shu is keeping his Cho-Z outfit, as well as Lui. Kinda wished they gave them new outfits but at least they’re coming back at all. Aiga and Drum are keeping their GT outfits, which I also wish they had new ones, but at least they’re coming back. I wonder if Free and Wakiya/Sisco will get new outfits or not.

It was just an edit, those aren't the confirmed designs for the new season. They could be completely different. Nice edit though, it really lines up and everything.

I don’t see why they would use old poses with new designs. I would think they make new poses for new designs. Have they done that before?

I don't know, it's really odd how they're so similar. I mean, if they pull the old designs out again then that would be kind of disappointing
It might be a placeholder since they might be later releases yk....We probably will see them around summer/fall/winter 2020

It's just an edit that I made using the available official renders, which happened to match up with the Cho-Z ones. It's not confirmed if they will retain the same designs, though I would assume they will receive some minor changes at the very lease. The poses could be placeholders for now, it's a unique situation since info has never been released this way before so we will see as we go Smile

I think it's like that to make the characters more recognizable with their silhouettes, mainly Free and Silas though. Also, it could be to show how the characters have changed.

I dunno, something about Ranjiro just bugs me because he feels like he's essentially the same character as his brother. And I get that they're brothers but that doesn't mean they have to feel exactly alike, give them some distinguishable differences.

And no, making him a leader of a gang does not make him a different character. If you take away the fact that he's a leader of a bey gang, he feels exactly the same as Rantaro. My problem with Ranjiro is why he needed to exist? I mean besides being the resident test dummy. They could've just brought back Rantaro for Cho-Z and made him mentor Aiga, just like how he used to with Valt and reflect on his experience.

What pissed me off about Cho-Z is that they couldn't be bothered to bring back Rantaro (despite his VA being there at the time) but put all the effort to make Rantaro's brother, Ranjiro... just for him to do the exact same things as his brother. Why did we need Ranjiro again?

The sad thing is that Ranjiro started off strong with him wanting to be like his older brother but that unfortunately went nowhere.

And as for Ranjiro being more developed than Rantaro, I honestly disagree with that.
- With Rantaro, he started off as a total jerk who disliked Valt, then grew to care more about him but not admitting it, to becoming his best friend, to loving him like a brother. Rantaro also used to get really upset, when he lost to his long time rival Valt but grew to accept his loss. And it's not just his personality that changed, his skills have improved too. Rantaro was the test dummy too, yes, but he grew more skilled in Beyblade Burst God, to the point where he can win a clean 2-0 against Wakiya, Sisco and Yellow Eye, after those three beat him the first time they battled him.
- Ranjiro does have development, but only with Aiga. At first, he didn't like him much either but was much nicer with him than Rantaro was with Valt. He grew to look out for Aiga and that's cool but that's honestly one of his only good moments. He had something with him wanting to be like his brother but that went absolutely nowhere (unless his destiny was to be as flawed as his older brother) and his skills never grew. He either won because of dumb luck (against Phi and Kyle) or because Aiga was being reckless. Otherwise, he became the resident test dummy more often than Rantaro did and all without getting stronger himself, so much for trying to surpass his brother (not even close). And it's not like he didn't have enough screentime, he had so much so there's not an excuse to not push his arc forward.

Does Ranjiro have good moments for me? Yes, but they're far and few in between IMO. He just exists for the sake of having a test dummy because otherwise, he's not really different from his brother making his existence feel almost useless. However, this season may focus on their brotherly relationship and may make me like him but for now, he's a meh character for me.
That bothered me as well, I felt that the only thing that ranjiro had that was better than rantaro, was the beyblade itself... and that’s it...

Ranjiro was needed because they wanted Aiga to have a friend his age. Throughout his two seasons, Rantaro had exactly 0 plot relevance. I also disagree with him becoming Valt's best friend, considering there are people like Shu and Free, and Valt gets along with everyone. I don't think he ever considered Rantaro as some super best bro, he even makes fun of for being weak a few times haha. Did he also really improve that much? His one big win was defeating Yellow eye which isn't much. I also have my doubts about him defeating Wakiya again (idk?), and he definitely wouldn't stand a chance against Sisco lol, who was like the 5th strongest blader in God and was said to be the elite in Chouzetsu.

Now, was Ranjiro reduced to doing nothing but supporting Aiga? Yes, but he does it pretty well. He is Aiga's best friend, and Aiga even mentions him, along with the top bladers like Shu, when he talks to Drum. His main role in the story was about showing us that dark Aiga can be a jerk and it ended with it, but because he got so much screentime (and it's not like I actually liked that lmao) he was kinda important.

Are both Rantaro and Ranjiro criminally underused? Yeah, but what can we do. There are more interesting characters that got shafted.
I actually kinda like Ranjiro. Although he’s just a placeholder for his older brother, because I loved Rantaro so much I guess seeing a character similar kinda made me happy. But yeah I agree he’s not much different, I just like his quips.
So we're all in agreement that Rantaro and Ranjiro deserve better treatment for season 5?

To me, Cho-Z felt it was building up Ranjiro to eventually join BC Sol like his brother did in an attempt to improve his skills and its implied Rantaro and Valt are in the Senior League. Its still good to have them back, and I'm excited for it.

Some of the characters not having new designs...hmmmm. It's too big of a deal for me. I love Lui's karate like outfit so I'm glad he's coming back with that design. I am curious if Sisco will have his Cho-Z or God outfits though.

Any other characters you guys wanna see come back: I'm hoping for Wakiya, Ken, Hoji, Xhaka or Xhan, Zac, Orochi, Naoki, Boa, Norman, Fubuki, Houi, maybe Evel, and Suoh.

I mean fair enough, they needed to make Aiga a friend his age but why did we need a Rantaro clone? A character with something different is all I'm asking (and once again, being a gang leader doesn't make Ranjiro different if he does little to nothing with it). And yes, Rantaro's growth isn't as significant as other characters but I appreciate that once he got defeated by those three bladers, he always found a way to counter them back and defeat them. Ranjiro, who's supposed to "live up to his brother" never did that at all. As for Valt and Rantaro's relationship, I didn't mean they actually referred to each others as brothers, more like they had a relationship that felt like they were brothers.

And I get that other characters are going to have a more significant impact than Ranjiro, which is why he usually got shafted, but if they're giving Ranjiro that much screentime only for him to be the resident test dummy, then I at least want something more for him. Ranjiro does impact Aiga in some way, such as helping him during his darker times but those are some of his only good moments, and that role could've easily been done by other characters like Rantaro or hell, even Fubuki since Fubuki actually noticed Aiga's dark resonance and could be the one to look out for him. Ironically enough, Ranjiro was the jerk who told everyone to be quiet and suck it up, when Aiga broke Valt's bey (though in Ranjiro's defense, maybe the Dead Gran arc is about him finding out about Aiga's dark resonance).

In conclusion, give those brothers more to do other than be advertisement fodder. I'll admit that I was way too harsh to Ranjiro, I don't hate him like I do woth say, Takane from GT, I just wish there was more to him given how much he appears.
