Tickets at the Door: Special Offer for WBO Members
If you don't buy a ticket online, Anime Shogatsu has created a special offer for WBO members 13 years and older: tickets at the door will be $20 instead of $25, but you MUST let them know you are attending the Beyblade tournament.

Need-to-Know Information

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

2. Arrive On Time

You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.

3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings

We do everything possible to ensure a safe environment, but can't be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Keep your gear close by!

4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours

This event is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!

5. Listen For Your Username To Be Called

Your name will be called when it's time for your next battle. If you need to leave early or take a break, tell a judge. Missing a match could mean disqualification!

Thank you so much to JesseObre for hosting this event! Regrettably, I will be away in Japan when this event happens, so I was going to be unable to host. But Jesse offered to take over this year. I will be helping to coordinate things behind the scenes in the lead up to the event, but you all will be in good hands with Jesse at the helm during the event!

Hope you guys have a great time!

Also, be sure to grab the early bird offer of $15 before it ends on December 10th (tickets are $20 afterwards): http://animeshogatsu.com/membership/
Let's see if we can get this event to 100+ people again Grin!

Oops, never mind the participant cap is 100. Well let's get it to the participant cap!

It feels like Shogatsu 2019 was just yesterday. I highly doubt I can come.
Awesome, glad to see there's a SHOGATSU for 2020! Later down the line when it's closer to the event date we'll make a post with prize donations for this event.

Haha, no need for that. Let's focus on making a great tournament with 100 players or less. Smile

"Shogatsu" means "New Years" in Japanese. It's just the name of the convention this event is taking place at (Anime Shogatsu).

This is a Beyblade tournament, so nothing is necessarily planned to be for sale. Smile However, if anyone attending has things they want to sell, they may post about it here!
bey base should have tutorial videos on how to improve your Beyblade skills and how to make the perfect combos with your parts

I'm Excited To come to the Japanese Cultural Center In Toronto again
Is this a good event for kids? My 8 year old is obsessed and wants to go to a tournament.

The benefit of going to the WBO for tournaments is there is no age restriction. We will have free play for your son to battle in while he waits for his official matches. The first stage of the tournament will last until 3:30 at the latest. However, if we have technical difficulties regarding the brackets and have 100 people arrive this could greatly affect the progress of the tournament. There will be Beyblades to buy if you what to and we will explain the rules when it is time to start at 11:00am-11:30am. Please arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of time before we start so can get in. Always make sure to be ahead of time in case of traffic. If you have preregastered for the tournament but can't come please hit the "Unjoin Tourament" button above at the top of the thread. I hope your son and you have a great time.
Is anyone going to be selling judgment joker ?

This probably won't be determined for a while. But I'd keep on the lookout for when someone's selling! Grin
