Due to COVID-19, all tournament participants and attendees are required to abide by the requirements outlined and linked in full detail below. If you do not, you may be asked to leave the tournament area. Thank you for your understanding and stay safe!

1. Feeling unwell? Stay at home.
2. Wear a Mask or Face Covering
3. Thumbs Up Instead of Handshakes
4. Do Not Lend or Play with Others Equipment
5. During Beyblade Inspection, Disassemble Beyblades for Judges
6. Do Not Bring More Than 1 Person With You
7. Maintain Physical Distancing (2 meters/6 feet apart)
8. After each Match Judges Must Disinfect Stadium
9. Only Bladers Registered Before the Tournament Day may Participate
10. Eliminated from the tournament? You must leave the tournament area.

Join the Toronto Beyblade community on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at High Park for our first Beyblade Burst Format event in eight months!

The health and safety of each participant in this event will be our top priority. We expect all participants to abide by the requirements outlined on this page. Be a Hiro!

This event is being hosted in accordance with the WBO's COVID-19 event requirements outlined above, as well as:



Additional Requirements
  • Terms of Service: A reminder that by participating in this gathering, you are considered to have agreed to the Fighting Spirits Inc. Terms of Service.
  • Registered? Confirm Parent/Guardian Presence Below: If you have registered above, you must post below to confirm whether you will be attending with a parent or guardian or not. Otherwise, you may be removed from the participant list.
  • Contact Tracing: During check-in at the event, all participants (and their accompanying guardian or parent if applicable) must provide their full name, phone number, and e-mail for contact tracing purposes in case any participant is later discovered to have contracted COVID-19. Your information will only be used for this purpose if needed and will be deleted 30 days after the event. If you can, please write this information down on a piece of paper and bring it with you.
  • Match Countdown Procedure: During the countdown of every match, players must not cough, sneeze, laugh, sing, shout, or talk. Then, they must take a step backwards from the stadium to meet the minimum physical distancing requirements outlined above.
  • After Match Procedure: Players may approach the stadium one at a time under the direction of the judge to pick up their Beyblade.

Tournament Check-in Details
  • Check-in begins at 10:00AM.
  • Check-in ends at 10:30AM. We will begin the tournament shortly thereafter.
  • See more details under "Need-to-Know Information" below.
Registration & Participant Limit Details
  • This tournament has a maximum participant limit of 13 players.
  • If you are certain you can make it, please hit the blue JOIN TOURNAMENT button at the top of this page to register confirm your spot!
  • Once 13 players have registered, you will not be able to enter the tournament.
  • As such, only users registered on the list at the top of the event page can participate in the tournament. No exceptions. Do not show up if you are not registered above.
  • Once 13 players have registered, the event page will be hidden from public visibility in order to avoid the possibility of other non-registered players from showing up. You will be private messaged the event details at this point for reference.
  • If you are unable to make it to the event, DO NOT hit the "Join Tournament" button. If you need to withdraw, hit the UNJOIN/LEAVE TOURNAMENT button.
  • If something unexpected comes up last minute and you cannot come, please post in this thread. Any players who sign up on this thread and do not show up without any prior notice will receive a warning in accordance with our Community Rules.


Location
We'll be playing outside on the grass in front of the High Park Nature Centre. See below:

If you're coming to High Park via the Bloor St W entrance, just follow that road down on the right side and you'll see the large building/shelter on the left hand side before you reach the tennis courts. We will be playing in the area on the grass in front of it. If you have any questions about the location, please post here!

NOTE: Public washrooms can be found just west of the Bloor St W entrance of High Park. There are no public washrooms available at the High Park Nature Centre. Do not knock on their door asking to enter.

Also, I will pick some of this stuff if needed but if anyone attending the event has any of the following which they can bring for use at the tournament, please let me know!

- Disinfectant Wipes
- Tarp or Foam Mats

I can hopefully bring some disinfect wipes and a tarp. If you need anything else I will do my best to get that. We should probably bring a vat of hand sanitizer in at this point to the tournament for people to disinfect there hands after playing at this point. Or at least a bottle

For hand sanitizer, I'll have some if people want it, but I would encourage everyone to bring their own. However, because everyone is wearing masks, keeping their distance, and because the stadiums will be disinfected after each match, I don't think it's necessary for hand sanitizer to be used after each match as long as you're not touching your face.

In order to speed up the contact tracing information gathering process and avoid you needing to get close to me during registration, I'd like to ask that all of you bring your full name, phone number, and e-mail written down on a piece of paper with you to the event. Then, I'll have each of you place it down into a box and you won't need to hand it to me directly. Thanks!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out yesterday! It was so great to see everyone after eight months. I appreciated everyone's efforts to comply with the new safety requirements at this event.

We plan to host another event in September, so please watch out for that!
