UPDATE: If you are under 16, it is mandatory for a parent to stay with you at this event!

Come be a part of the first-ever Connecticut WBO tournament! We're playing standard format, but will have non-tournament play with various stadiums, including a Destroyer Dome.

Feel welcome to bring Plastics and HMS to play in non-tournament battles!

This is an outdoor event, so dress appropriately for the weather. Rain or shine, we've got a nice dry place to play. Bring your own refreshments, as there's no concessions in the park (though there's plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, etc... across the road)

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. I will also have something cool for every confirmed individual who shows up.

Prizes
1st place - Choice of 3 Beys, first pick
2nd place - Choice of 2 Beys, second pick
3rd place - 1 Bey

Beys - All Hasbro
Spark FX Duo Ice-Titan
Spark FX L-Drago Guardian
Spark FX Proto Nemesis
Spark FX Wing Pegasus
Divine Crown
Spiral Lyre

Oh, also I'll have to leave by 3:15 in order to get back to school for sports, by the way. Hopefully the tournament will be over before then...
I might be able to go; my schedule isn't clear for that day. Hopefully I can!
Any idea if kids under 10 will be participating? I could probably get the day off to come but I couldn't go w/o my kids (6 & 5). They'd play, but I'd hate for them to have nothing but teenagers and up to play against.

If it'd be appropriate for that age group, I could probably get 2-5 more to come along too.
I'd be fine going easy on them I play with younger kids all the time
We're got a few under 10 coming, including 2 of my kids (6 & 7)
At the event, we will have sign-ups for the Bey Blazers, which is now open for CT, MA, and RI members. Apply online now, or at the event, in which after words, TheSupremeOne and I will look over the applications and determine who is in or not.

EDIT:
Question: If I bring my friend, and he does not want to play in the actual tournament, but just free-play, would he still need to pay?
Hello,

My son is 7 and recently has become VERY enthusiastic about the world of BeyBlades. He's so excited there's a chance to do a tournament near our home (we live in CT). Being brand new, I have a quick question: Assuming he uses his own BeyBlade(s), what limitations are there?

I read the above, but am not familiar with the abbreviation HMS and don't know what was released when, so don't know what came after HMS. Basically, what should he bring?

Again, I'm very happy to have stumbled across this forum and post, and my son is really looking forward to coming. Thanks for organizing.
@ leone19 He would most likely not have to pay since he is not actually participating
Southpaw First I recommend reading over the tournament rule book which you can look over on this site so none of the rules will feel strange. He can use any Beyblade besides plastics,HMS, XTS, Beywheelz, etc. So that means Metal Fusion, Masters, Fury (4D is included) and Zero G. HMS is the heavy metal system which was made in the early 2000's. If you have any other questions feel free to PM and check out that rule book.
Why does the date on the map say the 18th and the date here says the 19th? Which one is correct?

The one in this topic. There is a timezone issue on the BeyMap for some reason.

Thanks Kai
Yes! Sounds awesome i can definitely attend.
I got the day off, so my son and I will be playing for sure. There are a few more kids that would like to go, but their parents can't come. Can I be responsible for them or do their parents have to be there in order for them to participate?
As long as you keep an eye on 'em, they can come
Excellent! They'll be psyched! Thank you and see you there.

I'm glad to hear that there will be a few kids under 10. My 6 yr old son is psyched to attend. My 13 yr old daughter will also enter the tournament. Is the tournament open to adults?
I will be there put me on.

Can't wait
it is suppose to rain the day of the tournament if i does will you postone it?
Quote:Is the tournament open to adults?

Yes! I'll be participating, myself Smile

Quote:it is suppose to rain the day of the tournament if i does will you postone it?

Nope. There's an enclosure if it rains.

Also, if kids are coming with you, make sure they have an account here and let me know their username!
I will be entering the tournament (I'm coming with MassBeyBladers).
