If you are under 16, it is mandatory for a parent to stay with you at this event! I cannot stress this enough. You will not be allowed to play otherwise.

It's time for our 3rd CT tournament! This time we'll be holding to tournament at Connecticon, the largest multi-genre convention in the state.

This time we'll be running two tournaments in different formats. First off will be a Zero-G format, and for the first time ever we'll be running an HMS format tournament too!

We'll have plenty of open play to accompany the tournament.

This will be the first time we have swap table available at the tournament. Bring any Beys or spare parts that you're willing to trade and we'll set aside time during registration for people to trade their stuff!

If you're interested (this is completely optional), I'll be setting up an area to create CT Blader Profiles. We'll grab your mugshot, and a short description for use in future tournament marketing.

I'll have some CT Beyblade face bolt stickers to give out to those who attend. Here's what they look like!

I'll also have limited ConnectiCon face bolt stickers to attendees of this event only.

Also, don't forget to add yourself to the BeyMap! CT needs representation! Please don't put your full address. Just city/state.

Hrm. Launchers, grips, etc... are a good idea I never though of. Maybe some trigger guards, rubbert grips, and suspensions.

Rev up launcher. It's expensive, I don't know if any one can find it cheap, but it would make a heck of a prize.
That would be awesome. Rubber grips are pretty cheap, & I could definitely use one. Maybe Metal Faces, too. They're usually about $5 on Ebay
Rev up launchers are seriously expensive haha & it would depend on who won it... I think a younger kid would probably prefer a few Beyblades instead, since the kids around here tend to use Hasbro ripcords anyway.

I know, but its like the most powerful launcher ever. Its really useful. Anyhow, it was just a thought lol
Change me and ultimitecrown to confirmed
Hrm...maybe instead of a prize I can raffle off a rev-up launcher or something.

I think I've got a good list of items to consider for the prize table. Now I just need to track stuff down and get the most for my money.
A raffle could be a good idea. Also, if I could find a place to store it for the duration of the day, I might be able to bring my Zero G stadium to speed things up a bit, so we'd be able to do a full round robin this time haha
Especially If this is as it as we plan, a raffle or two would be great.
Id be able to get my friends to play, including bullchamp
We just got approved to use a Swiss format for the tournament, so Doc and I will most likely be using that. Should speed things up, but multiple stadiums are always good!

I can always check with one of my buddies from CTCon to see if we can store some materials in a staff area for the day, since it's not like our stuff takes up a huge amount of room.
It should definitely go by quicker, since there will probably be a good amount of people. It would suck if we ran out of time for HMS XD
This event could attract potential CT/New England bladers for upcoming events too.
Wait when it says Zero-G do you mean you can't use MF? You can count me in as long as we can use Metal Fight (4D- Metal Fusion) beys. Also is it mandatory to have a WBO account? My brother would like to participate but he does not acquire one.
As with any Zero G format tournament, you can use MF Beyblades from all 4 seasons. The Zero G stadium is the only thing that will be different. You don't need to have a WBO account before the tournament, but you will need to create one before the points and credits can be processed once it ends, since everyone must be accounted for.
im going for sure sign me up!
Ok Count me In i'll be going, as well as my friend, Olympachris, and my brother......he'll make an account later just call him bladerblock......they are all over my house right now and don't feel like logging in and saying it themselves.
I'll be there with The Supreme One Smile
Confirmed.
Bullchamp will be there with me again.
You guys are rocking my world here! This is going to be one awesome tournament!

I'm neck deep in planning right now trying to piece together everything from prizes and banners to advertising and a CT Blader website (mostly for extra advertising, all our communication will be done here.)

This tournament is really going to put CT on the map.

EDIT: I've updated the OP. Check it for more info!
put ultimitepegusus down as a maybe
Awesome! We still have 2 more months, & already 17 confirmed participants. If we keep getting bladers at this rate, this may be one of the biggest events of the summer! I may not bring all my parts, just because I'm worried about losing things, but as the tournament gets closer I think it would be a good idea if people listed the parts they want & what they are willing to trade, so I'll know what to bring on the 13th. I'm looking forward to the con even more now.
On a side note, my friend & I are submitting videos for the FMV contest, & if she is one of the finalists, she wants to be at the contest while they're playing it. Anyway, we'll work that out later. Shouldn't be a problem as long as the two events don't conflict.
is anybody selling a dragoon chrome wheel or a BGrin?
It's been a busy weekend, and I'm exhausted, but I managed to quickly setup the CT Beyblade website. It's SPARSE for now, but I'll get more up there this weekend. The goal of the site it to provide news about our tournaments in CT, and to give basic information about Beyblade and our tournaments to those who are interested, but have no idea where to start.

http://ctbeyblade.acrossboard.org
Its actually really cool! Not to mention (cough cough) I'm on the home page Tongue_out
A forum on the site might be a good idea, if possible
I've been debating that. I've got the software ready, but I don't know if I'd rather just keep communication here, though having only 1 thread for Connecticut (+ events) is kinda limiting, or setting something up on the new site..
Well, just remember that if every region did that, it would be highly ineffective for the Beyblade community ... People have more chances of being directed here than to the specific site about their region.
