Solomon in mythology is a former king of israel so yes, religious things indeed. ADK has a knack for changing names that have to do with religion.
I do understand why they changed Solomon but they could've found a better name than Spellscraper, that's all there is to it.

The guy with the name changing role was probably procrastinating so he had to think of a name at the very last second and that's what he could come up with

So i think now would be a better time than ever to do a review of the season as a whole and so things won't be a big mess, i'll be doing this by arcs and then summing my final thoughts at the end, with further ado, let's get this review out of the way. (Caution: 100% MY OPINION)
Spoiler (Click to View)
Arc 1: The Demon King/BC Sol: A very solid arc at best. A nice start to DB and the exploration of Bell and Ranzos rivalry and friendship was nicely developed, not perfect but it was nicely developed. The battles were nice and i think Bell VS Valt was my favorite battle from this entire arc just because it does set up the thing Valt and Bell have now which is a pretty nice friendship i'd say. Then we get to BC Sol where we get to see Free again and Bell VS Free is like dragged out for like 5 episodes because of the F-Gears advertisement. We get good developement for Rashad and Basara who get new beys and Valt VS Rashad happens which if you ask me definitely sets Rashad up big time. Overall, i think this was a solid arc but it did leave a lot to be desired to be honest
Arc 2: Dynamite Battle Tour: Easily the weakest arc in DB and the worst tournament i've ever seen. The whole idea of the Dynamite Battle Tour is just battle in a random location and battle a legend like Valt, Free or Lui and this served as more an advertisement for Bell to get the gears. There is really not much to say about this arc aside from the fact that it just isn't good though i will say Ilya's little mini arc with Bell was just so fun to watch. Weak to semi decent arc at best, has some good moments but overall just bad.
Arc 3: Demon King VS Supreme King Team Battle: A huge improvement from the DB Tour. This arc basically was a team battle between Bells team and Rashads team and i have to say this: I like it. Say what you want about it, i like it. I loved the battles and the setup for Valkyrie to be destroyed was very well done and the developement for Basara was also pretty good in Ep.33. Overall, love it. Great arc, great battles and not bad characterization, overall while there are some things left to be desired, it is definitely a step up from the DB Tour.
Arc 4: The Phoenix: Oh god.. this arc was kinda eh. Payne as a character is cool but poorly executed tbh and he just up and leaves the series after his battle with Rashad and we haven't even seen him since. This arc while it had cool battles and everything, it has just completely pointless tbh and really had no real stakes aside from Payne just being a psychopath for like 6-7 episodes straight. Mediocre arc.
Arc 5: Bell VS Valt VS Rashad: Still currently in this arc as DB has not concluded as of this review being typed out but i can say for certain that this was probably one of the only ways DB could've ended. We needed another Valt VS Rashad and the series was obviously going to end off with Bell VS Rashad. I can say that even though this arc was short, it isn't as bad as the Phoenix or DB Tour arc and the whole point is to make Rashad realize the fun in Beyblade again. Overall, i like how things are going in this arc and it's not bad at all and i can't wait for the last episode next week.
Final Thoughts: Overall, DB does have its ups and downs which in all honesty, there is a lot more downs. I remember i rated Sparking a 9.2/10 and that was at best a poorly written review of the season but my opinion toward it does still stand. As a season and the last anime Burst will ever get, i would say DB isn't bad but i do think things could've been handled a lot better than what was shown. Final rating: 6.5/10 and that is just me being generous.

Its been a week since burst ended so here is my Beyblade Burst DB MEGA review
Keep in mind that everything that i said here is 100% my opinion and also 28 paragraph kids what have i done to myself LOL.
Spoiler (Click to View)
The Plot
Ranzo, he is utulized well in this season and i find him to be the most charming one out of the three kiyamas. He's fun, energetic, and has a nice relationship with bell which i think is executed better here than the manga. although like wise hes a kiyama so punching bag it is.
Hannah and jinemon, they are a pretty nice addition to the cast unlike the bombers beyclub gang the actually add in to the story and feels important.
Conclusion
So the plot of this season is basically just bell challanging the world with some sub plots, sounds simple but its double edge sword if done correctly it can stand among the best and if done badly it can be stand amongst worse and sadly it didn't get the proper execution.
The plot started to get unintresting in the DB tour and even after they sorta fixed it in that team battle arc they decided to introduced a new character with 10 episodes left making the final arc so rushed and felt boring at times.
Characters, so for the characters i will just be mostly focusing on bell rashad and valt since those 3 are the main character of this season
Bell
I gotta be honest he is probably what i would say a bridge between bad and good protagonist. His whole friend development were done nicely like its not like a 2 or 3 episodes then resolution but instead they actually scatters it on ecah arc in this season but i can't stand the fact that he feels more like a side characters like valt feels more like the protagonist here, he is the first one to beat the "high king" rashad mind you that he is the season main antagonist. And that just makes bell position as a main character in this season imo less important. As a character alone however i find him quite charming and funny most of the time tho he could also be real annoying too.
I also feel like that last second backstory for bell were used badly like it could've been used in earlier episodes to make us feel more connected to Bell than idk just put it randomly on the final episode that didnt impact the character at all.
Rashad
Rashad is the antagonist of this season and IMO they did a pretty bad job with him. I feel like the main problem with him is that doesn't feel threathening or apposing to the protagonist he just feels like a random powerful dude that bell needs to beat which makes their final clash less impactfull as the manga counterpart even as his own character he feels very 1 dimensional which is very ashame since his manga counter part was so damn compelling.
The development that he got is also pretty weird like his whole motivation was to surpass valt then he suddely wants to make his own bey just bc bell make dangerous and then the whole "I just want to win" thing was dumbly executed like bell just befriend Phenomeno and he just goes like "Grrr I blade for the W only" like wtf theres no focus then suddenly this.. on a positive note tho this got resove pretty well.
Valt
Valt in this season felt like a mixed bag for me more so towards the negative side. He certainly didn't feel as childish as valt in other seasons but idk man him being ignorant of his bey is just so out of his character like he could fix savior but he choses not to like bro you can spare your time to prank but not fixing your bey which makes the break more and more atrificial and also he says that shu is the only partner that he can trust like bro rantaro would cry hearing this..
I also dont like the fact that he's the champion again unlike the manga where he got the title by beating rashad at a championship tournament the anime just decided to make him have that title and even with that title he still gets bodied by other characters making that title the more and more useless.
Basara, i think he is one of the better characters in this season he has a great development. he's overall executed really well here and i just love every time they focuses on him.
Ilya, so she only exist just to sell QD which is fine but why make her useless where she could done much more, like basiacally 5 episodes after her debut she became irrelevant and more frustrating enough she became a full on rashad simp which just ashame to see.
Phenomeno, this dude literally could've been one of the best character in the franchise but they failed. The problem with Phenomeno that seems to bother me is his backstory like they couldve just make rashad break his bey and seeing belial being broken by rashad sparks his intrest in rashad again and also he doesn't impact on rashad like the dude could literally be the catalyst to trigger rashad manga character side. Overall he's a character with a lot of potential but they just don't seem to care.
The Legends, so for the legends most of them doesn't actually feel like a legend and serve no purposes other than Gear upgrade for belial.
Lui, lui is probably the only legend that feels and acts like himself IMO. I love how this season shows how much Lui has grow as a character and his student and master dynamic or rivalry dynamic with bell is probably one of the more intresting things in this season that i wish they make it more relavant.
Shu, remember how Free has the grudge against lean and they didn't conclude it at all yeah its reapeating but this time free is replaced by shu and lean is replaced by Bell *sigh*. the only positive thing that i could give to shu is how when valkyrie broke he comes and aid valt on his pain which is a nice character growth shown by him since the last person who is ignorant with their bey damage is shu other than that they make his presance felt like a irrelavant character, no W, and he feels very uneeded to the story.
Free, yeah he feels very usless just like shu and serves no purpose other than the source of inspiration for F-gear initially he was executed well but as the season progresess yeah he went to irrelavancy way hardaer then he did in sparking.
Pros
- i think its no doubt that DB has one of the best CGI effects, works and models for the beys like man just look at rage longinus in this season so much detail compared to the sparking one.
- this season is probably one of the only season that is heavily focused on the strategic nature of bey battles like there are actually instances where bell or someone makes a strategy which is very refreshing to see compared to the Sparking bey battles which felt like power over strategy.
-OSTs this season has a pretty acceptable and amazing OSTs i mean just hear at phenomeno OST you could just feel the horor in it.
-The new settings such as bell mansion, that new collosium like place in spain, and Phenomeno hpuse are all really cool places that captures the vibes that it supose to have.
Cons
- this season felt very low stakes near the end like theres so much they could do but they just don't seem to care
- the cahmpion title is back again and it is as useless as ever like it could've been really intresting to see the characters fighting over the champion title again but no lets just have random tournaments and also why bother mentioning it when it doesn't have a purpose aside from fancy title name
- this season has a lot of tournaments and most of em doesn't feel like a real tournaments and doesn't makes sense im looking at you DB tour
-most of the battles in DB after ep 16 feels like a filler battle that you would see in filler episodes
-just like sparking, and GT DB felt very dissconnected to the burst world making characters such as phi rantaro sisco basically feel like they never exist
Conclusion
Overall This season started off on a really strong note but ended up pretty badly i would say like the manga did a pretty well job despite the chapter restrictions but yeah it is what it is with that said i am going to rate DB as a 3/10 as a burst series just watch this season for the bey battles everything if you are a guy that is invested in the story and character growth then i don't recomend this season to you.
Despite this i still very much respect the staff bc they are working on tight schedules and daedlines so yeah thank you tho the staff and those who manages to read this fully LOL

The Legends, so for the legends most of them doesn't actually feel like a legend and serve no purposes other than Gear upgrade for belial.Lui, lui is probably the only legend that feels and acts like himself IMO.
Thats pretty much how db went. Honestly looking at this review Ilya and Pain were wasted serve no purpose at all to the point might as well not putting them at all. Overall db probaly wasted more characters then previous ones
