Samurott is basically the strongest one of those starters! Serperior is the one that's terrible. The moves it learns are horrendous, seriously.. Most of the moves it can learn are practically Grass & Normal types.
Feb. 05, 2012 4:34 AM
That's the reason the only chose the Grass starter in D/P/PL, and even then, I barely got through the game (kind of a noob back then), was because of a challenge. Mostly start with Fire now, because of raw power, and even then, it's still going downhill. Grass is basically the worst starting type they made. Either that, or Nintendo just makes horrible grass starters. The best possible example for a HORRIBLE Grass starter is Meganium. You have to get by with Razor Leaf until lvl 15, and even then it's still awful. Go with fire or water. They're way better.

My un-EV trained, poor-natured Torterra absolutely demolished Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. My Sceptile OHKOs everything that doesn't resist it in-game in Emerald(and if I bred right and EV trained it, subseed sceptile is one of my all-time favorite setups to run).
Fire is only the correct choice in 2 and 5, for "ease". Water is the best in 1 and 3. In 4, they're all about even, but Ground is the most useful STAB type in Gen 4's primary game playthrough, so Torterra edges out above the others if only for that. Infernape is one of the most ludicrous(arguably THE most, actually) starters, in terms of pure offensive power, but it's inconvenient in-game unless you're deliberately not running CC/Flare Blitz.
Of course, none of this really matters because nothing short of the Battle Frontier is even remotely difficult in any Pokémon game, and if you EV train and run a competitive set, the Battle Frontier bows out pretty easily, too - aside from Factory and so forth.

Here's what I think
Take out Larvesta because he is weaker than all your Pokemon and you can catch its evolution that's LV 70
Also take out Zebstrika because again its weaker than all your other Pokemon
What LV is Whimsicott

In recent months, I guess you could say I've become a competitive battler. I really only have trouble on the Smogon server on Pokémon Online. The main server is full of n00bs, I can ladder on there like nobody's business.
The point is, recently I have been using a gimmick team. Very fun, incorporating some of my personal favorites and Pokémon that make them work. If you understand competitive battling, this is a pretty nice team too. No weather for once as well, which is a relief. The team (all Lv. 100):
This team can also handle the common weather teams and their users, but again, only if you know how to use it. This is a fun and relatively successful team too. Enjoy!

Comments and Explanations (Click to View)
Archeops and Zoroark are the 2 wild card here. Archeops is the suicide lead. It hits like a truck, and can reliably damage at least one Pokémon hard before dying. Zoroark is supported under the guise of Tentacruel, but can become any other Pokémon when necessary, which is why it has to be second and Tentacruel last so it can be Tentacruel and not lead. The stats are good, and when the opponent tries to attack with something like Psyshock, you get a free boosting turn and can begin to sweep with the 3 coverage moves. Grass Knot for bulky Waters or Flamethrower for Steel types, which is preferable due to how common Scizor is now. Dragonite is a standard bulky DDer, Dragon Claw over Outrage to prevent getting locked in and the confusion status. Use Lefties instead to get that Multiscale defense when combined with Roost, and Fire Punch for steel types. Volcarona is Sashed to guarantee at least 2 turns of survivability, allowing for a Quiver Dance or 2 attacks. Electric for the water types, Rock for other fire types and coverage in general. Fiery Dance over Fire Blast for that SpA boost when QD is unavailable, and the Base Power is still decent. Lucario can have either Steadfast for the speed boost if there is a flinch, or Justified for the free attack boost upon switching into a x.25 effective move. Crunch for the ghost types and a defense drop when it occurs is always nice, Close Combat is standard super-powered fighting STAB, and Extremespeed for the priority kill. SD is used for obvious reasons. Tentacruel is the wall of the team. EV's into Defense because Tentacruel is already a SpD monster. Speed for that little surprise (it's actually really useful). Scald for Water STAB and the burn is always nice. Toxic Spikes to set up entry hazards and help sweep. It also forces the opponent to switch strategies. Rapid Spin to remove entry hazards, which is key when you aren't leading with some of the Pokémon that get hit hard by SR like Volcarona and Dragonite. Protect for stalling and helping aid Lefties recovery.

Only replace it with a zen mode darmanitan. IMHO they are better than normal. Also the event arceus needs better moves, anyone else agree?

If u are willing to use legemdary, get an arceus. There is currently an event on now for gl members worldwide. Im not sure if u should use it. But from the sounds of your team youre using cheats for shiny pokemon.
Also an infallible pokemon is spiritomb. No weaknesses, and if you have shedninja and alakazam with role play, boom! Invincible spiritomb.

<My only cheat code is shiny cuz I like their shiny form.>
I already got 2 arceus, one in Plantinum that is not an event, one Lv100 Arceus that is from HGSS event learn the signature move of its own and the creation trio (dia, pal and gira)
I do like Areceus alot but I don't think I will put it in. Spiritomb is good, i admit. I am training a spiritomb at the moment. Thinking of let out reuniculus.
Shedninja's ability is awesome, too bad it has low HP (lowest of all, lol) and too many weakness (5)
Alakazam is a pokemon i have been using forever from all prev gen so this gen I'm going to change a bit.
I am thinking of adding a pseido-legend, maybe Tyranita or Garchomp

Excaliver is 53 but its nature sucks its modest......
Darmanitan is 44 his nature is Naughty.
Im probaly not gonna put excaliver in because
Samurott And Scrafty are gonna be my Attack and Defense.
Haxorus and Braviary/Archeops are gonna be just full attackers.
Whimsicott and Darmanitan are gonna be my stall and attacker. She annoys the opponet while darmanitan crushes everything in site lol.
I would trade my excaliver for a Tepig but i dont have Wi-Fi i really want a tepig to see how it peforms. I need to go to my freinds for Wi-Fi for now. One more thing I'm just trying to use pokemon in the Unova region because i dont think you can use any others in tournaments.

It's hard breeding the perfect prodigal pokemon and EV train it to have OU good stats. I don't hack though, don't get me wrong. I keep each Pokemon I have bred and train it with love and care as if it were real, I don't "throw them away" if they have the nature I don't want, I raise it with the same equality of the others in my party. Or sometimes I just trade the Pokemon.
