It was intended as a cautionary statement.

One should never make light of any "challenges" someone is undertaking that are deliberately unhealthy - this time it may have been 15 minutes, but if he considers it a "challenge", what do you expect to come after that?
(Dec. 02, 2011  1:29 AM)Cookies^^ Wrote: [ -> ]Wow! I had such a nice workout today! Here's one of the exercises that I did.

M100s:
Okay, so for this exercise, you do 3 sets of 10 burpees, jumping squats, and mountain climbers. So to do a burpee, you jump, and work yourself into a push up position and repeat. Now, for jumping squats, you just simply squat and jump! But, when you squat, go all the way down so that your butt touches your heels. Finally, a mountain climber is when you're in a push up position and basically shift your legs so that you're in a runners position. However, doing 4 of those will equal 1 rep, so you actually have to do 40!
If you would like to take a challenge, then try doing this without any breaks, so no water, no sitting down, etc.

I can really, really help you out.

First off, don't mooch off of Mike Chang's trainings. He just wants you to buy his book, while helping you. I mean, use them but add more into it.

Second, I've done this exercise every day in the past 66 days. Including Today.

It definitely works your endurance and capability, but just more of your legs and you lower rectus abdominis.
I'm not mooching off of his workouts. My trainer was the one who told me about this and then I looked it up on youtube to my surprise that it belonged to him.
I officialy left martial arts this week and my level of agility has gone down, what do you recommend for Agility, speed and reflexes? just because i'm now just watching the vids on youtube but they do it to slow for me. It would help alot for your suggestions. Also about my stomach, turns out it's not IBS its that the nerve endings are more sensitive to pain after I had a virus, but hopefully I won't have it my whole life.
Hmm, well you should be more specific about agility and reflexes, they could mean so many things. Do you want to use them for sports or what? For speed, I'll explain when you tell me what you want in terms of agility and reflexes. Smile
like I said, it's for my martial arts, so anything that can help me with blocks, hence reflexes and how to increase the speed of the jabs and kicks and agility as in stamina and strength.
The only thing that'll help you get better with reflexes like that will be practice.

As for increasing the speed of your punches and kicks, it's the same thing; practice. Strength training in general will also help. I posted several links in one of my posts about strength training program design, so you might want to check those out.

Keep in mind that I don't have knowledge about IBS, so know what you should and shouldn't be doing; I don't want to be the cause of further ailments.
ok, I didn't know if I should be doing certain things.

I think I need to regain my lost weight from my ADHD medication (went down to mid-90 lb range)
...that weight is perfectly normal for that height... especially for a female your age.
Yeah, that's probably fine. As much as most ADHD medications suppress appetite (hence my rather wiry appearance), your doctor would be keeping an eye on that, and if anything is a concern, they will raise that with you.
The resolution for ADHD medication weight loss is typically a high protein/carb diet anyway.

Well, my parents raised that concern, but all they could say was to eat more food. But I still feel a bit underweight. I don't know what to do, honestly, to raise my appetite.

I don't want to NOT take my medication, or else school will have to deal with a overly hyper me. Which is NOT good at all. Me not taking my medication = me in assistant principal's office = not good outcome. Not a good one at all.
I already told you, your weight is perfectly normal.
Just noticed this thread. Thought I'd post about my progress.

September 2010 was me at my heaviest. 260 pounds at 5'11. Weighed in this morning at 168 pounds.

I had lost 60 of it prior to starting wrestling, so I was at 200, Then lost 30 more pounds since July (when I started). When I'm not wrestling, I'm working out (so I can look better for wrestling), and at wrestling practice, which is 3 times a week, I do 200 jump squats, 200 squats, and two laps of duck walks around the ring.

September 2010 - November 2011
Hahaha, "When I'm not wrestling, I'm working out (so I can look good for wrestling)". You don't use those workouts to improve your wrestling? Haha

I just want to gain 11 pounds or so. That's all.

Edit:
Hazel, you're right. I'm good as is.

When you get in the business, you realize you don't need to be strong. You just need to LOOK strong.

Just wondering, how do you do a duck walk? What does it work on?

Haha! I agree! Strong people(people who look strong) are intimidating, and that's what scares people. On the other hand, should you start looking strong(have a well built body), it won't be a facade. You'll actually be strong enough!

Just walk around while in a squat. It works the same muscles as squats.
Yes, the research does prove that point.
But, you'd certainly like to workout a bit too, just so that you lose weight a bit quicker!
I got food poisoned on new years eve and had to go on a brat diet til now it sucked GAH it was horrible
Alt+3

Apparently I have a small disorder where my right hand-side is weaker than my left-hand side even though I'm right handed. Apparently it started from when I was born.

EDIT: Darn it. I was trying to type Heart's name.
I now have a strained calf muscle from jumping awkwardly onto my trampoline Pinching_eyes_2. It feels tingly. Now I can't run! That's a problem; I LOVE to run!! D:
