I never did see the anime. Also the manga's original artwork was awful.
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's
And the artwork being horrible started becoming good once the story became about card games. No connection at all. As well, you should see the artwork for the TCG of that series, horrendous.
I remember getting a bootleg set back when I liked Yu-Gi-Oh!, thinking it was the show I watched on YTV, as the Box had the right characters. Poped in the first disc to watch this show with this girl with Blue hair, and Kaiba with green hair. I remember the subtitles were terrible aswell, I think it called Yugi "Star" or something like that. Needless to say, I never bought dvds from that place ever again.

Example of terrible-ness from the 90's:

Actually that resembles the original cards Konami released.. If that is legit as one of the handful from before they actually started it ALL about the card game it's worth some money..
Yeah I am right almost. It's a Bandai card that predates all. It's worth 8 bucks according to this site, but I'd be willing to bet a collector would pay more.
BEWD is actually one of the better looking cards in that series.

I wish I was making those cards up. Yeah, they actually made Character cards.

Train, these were the cards Bandai made back when they did the cards for the show in '98. I wish I had them because I could laugh at them in person, but I don't.

I actually watched Yu-Gi-Oh season 0. It shocked me more than any of the other series.
The reasons it never saw the light of day in America was because:
A. It does nothing to really help promote the card game.
B. Nothing changed for like 18 episodes.
C. The protagonist gave everyone - even highschool students, a severe case of dementia via demonic ancient powers.

I read a bit of the original manga where Yugi gets mosaic'd porno from Joey and then he like throws dice with the producer or something of it and screws him right up.

Yu-Gi-Oh season 0 was awesome because it was far more hilarious than all the other series combined.
Almost all the episodes end up with some one getting burned, eaten, mangled, and killed.
They should have named it; "Yu-Gi-Oh: The Punisher!"

Season Zero, gave me scars, instead of making me want to buy cards for the rest of my life.

Wonderful...teach kids to play cards while riding death machines.
Maybe I'm biased because I've had two family members die on them

The motorcycles in the show bear no actual resemblance to motorcycles.
Yes, comparing the motorcycles in this show to real ones is almost like comparing a dog's mouth to its own carp.

They are still motorcycles, are they not?
