Winning Combinations at WBO Organized Play Events

Update January 2024:

Some of you have feedback that the Winning Combos List (WCL) is unorganized and unsightly, making it harder to find the winning combos for the specific format you want. The Winning Combos Thread for WBO Organized Events will be split into their respective formats for a more organized look and easier search.

The links for the new Winning Combos Threads by formats are below:

This thread will be locked and no new posts are allowed. Please use the new Winning Combo Thread for the respective formats to upload WCLs from WBO Organized Events.

There is some discussion currently about top-tier versus skill, and I have been thinking about making this topic for a while now.

If you have participated in one of our tournaments, what customization(s) did you use most of the time ? Or did you really change combination at every match ?

Understand that to post a customization on this topic, you should have at least one Gold, Silver or Bronze Bit or be the Organizer of an official WBO Organized Play event. If you do not and still post combinations, you expose yourself to possible warnings. Discussing someone's customizations is fine though.

Do not be too shy to post what you used either, if you came in the top three : while you are indeed publicly revealing your 'tricks', it is just like in the "Deception tactics" topic. People will either expect you to still use it, but should also expect you to change your game since you have revealed it. In my opinion, chances that you will either keep using that combination or not are quite equal.
Mind if I post on behalf of ControL_?
If he cannot post himself and that you know for sure what his combination was, OK.

Well we are as close as 2 bladers can be.

Legend of the Bey:

Earth Leone DF105WD
MF-H Hell Leone 230D
MF Gravity Perseus D125RF

Feb-Bey-ary Freeze:

MF-H Basalt Cancer 230D
MF-H Basalt Cancer 230CS
Oh yeah, I remember. ControL_ came second at Feb-Bey-Ary Freeze with MF-H Basalt Cancer 230D.
Just to remind everyone because I just had to delete a post : we are only looking for combinations that won at our tournaments, because we know what the top-tier customizations are and the environment is controled, for instance with the stadiums.
Fyuuor Wrote:Thought that I should mention this but I just competed at 'Bey Fury!' and my 230 combo ended up dominating the entire Tournament without losing a single match. Another participant did have a 230 though his CS was a bit touchy and it seemed to go into Attack Mode quite often.

Just makes me wonder what's in store for 230. I know it's only one Tournament that I've competed in but it seems as though for the last few WBO Tournaments 230 is beginning to make a bit of an impact with it featuring as one of the main combos used by the eventual winners of the Tournament.

Kei: MF - L Earth Bull 230CS
Momiji ____ 230RSF
Fyuuor: MF - L Flame/Earth 230CS

From the 230 thread in the Advanced Forum.
I prepare several combos for each tournament (usually five or six), but as Fyuuor points out in the post BladeStorm quoted, I won the last Toronto tournament in December with MF-L Earth Bull 230CS. Back in August, I placed first at Beys of Glory with MF L Drago 100WF.

Both customs were used to win numerous matches throughout their respective tournaments aside from the final match.
If you would like to know the flaw in my combo, the CS was in a good condition whereas my opponent Blitz (who also used the exact same combo, exact clear wheel) had a near Mint one; I lose by small OS.

Might I ask why those of you who used MF-L did this? Why not MF-F if you were going for light, or better MF-H.

Edit: Noo!! My CS was worner! The movement was clear.

Thats a lie, you sucked with it because you didn't take my advice before. You lost 3-1 stop making excuses!

You're referring to my custom, MF-L Earth Bull 230CS, right? I chose it because it isn't supposed to be a pure Stamina type, nor a pure Defense type. And I just figured that focusing more weight around the outside of the Face wouldn't be a bad thing. I'm sure the difference is negligible though.
As stated I used MF-H Basalt Bull 230CS for both my final matches, my CS was brand new and only used a few times before the finals. I usually take 6 combos with me to tournaments but at Feb-bey-ary Freeze I only got round to using 3 of them. MF Hell Kerbecs BD145(boost mode)WD, MF-H Basalt Bull AD145WD and MF-H Basalt Bull 230CS. For most of my matches I usually went with Kerbecs unless I knew I was up against another 230, then I use my 230 combo.

At the January tournament it was a mix of Earth Aquario 145WD, MF Hell Kerbecs 230WD and MF-H Earth Bull GB145RS.
Bey Blaze: Virgo DF145B, Leone 105F (XD), Rock Leone D125WB. 3rd Place.

Bey Hurricane: Quetzalcoatl 90RF, MF Pegasis 145RF, Most likely Flame Bull DF145SD, but I can't be sure. 2nd Place.

Bey Inferno: MF Lightning L Drago 100RF, Earth Bull 90SD. 3rd Place

Australia Bey (Unofficial tournament.): MF Saggitario H145RF, MF Gravity Perseus D125RF, MF Lightining L Drago, Earth Bull 90SD. 2nd Place

We have such original names for our tournaments. :3
I like to use earth bull 230rsf more than cs, and for attack I always use mid height beys with mf for more control
Uhh. LOL Chaos blader I remember your Saggitario. Random combo and you used it.

Confused. Wish I could Post my Combo. I also attended the Last Tourny that Chaos Blader posted.
I came like 4th or something sooo.
Arise Spring Cherry Blossom ARISE held on March19th

1st ikmv - MF GravityPerseus(atk clear wheel) H145 RF (leftSpin) & against 3rd/4th place MF-H BasaltKerbecs BD145 MB
2nd Otsu - MF-H HellKerbecs 230 CS
3rd Rotation - MF Libra 90 R2F
4th Galaxy4me - MF LLDrago CH120 R2f
If we're gonna start posting tourney results here, then kai-v you should put them in the op. Like have the tourney name then a spoiler underneath with results. Would be a nice catalog of info.
Hm, I could, but at the same time this topic is supposed to only have posts with winning combinations being 'announced', so people could just read every post.
I feel like McFrown in the Adv Forums Smug

Since you said "Every one in the top three go here" Im going to post my strategy thinking and skills. So here, I made my MF Libra90R²F getting ready, then I had forgotten to pratice at home. Meanwhile I was testing with Othellogs Earth KerbexGB145RS I was practing ways to bank and slide shoot. WHen I tried 180 degree slide shoot with him, it didnt work well. SO then I decided to expand my arm a bit, lets say, about 120-130 degree, i had alot of KOs and possible OS(s). While that testing I thought I should move my wrist a bit, around 80 degree towards my stomach. Then thats when I discovered how to manage my Libra Combo by KO(s) but no OS =(.

Another strategy I found is when you bank really hard it slams straight to the opponents tip making it wobble then get KO'd. But at the end Otsu and IKMV beat me oh well =L
Yes, when they are announced, then update the op. I'd assume Eventually this thread will get to be multiple pages. Telling people to read each post, thats just not nice.
I agree with you Otsu, like post the recent tourney and EXPLAIN what you did instead of
Example:
Basalt BullH876WB, Ray Bull230PS

And I got 1st place.

Like HOW you did just like I posted mine on top of your post.
It should become WBO policy to record the winning combos of the top 3 players in each tournament for metagame analysis.

I can see this as being a great thing or a bad thing:

It's rather invasive to the winners to reveal their combo to the world. It gives them a large disadvantage for upcoming tournaments because now everyone will be able to counter that combo with enough test and it will also reveal their style of play.

The good part about it is it does force them to evolve and push even the best to become stronger than before by realizing someone will be trying to figure out their weakness.

It should be a policy to request the winning combo, but I think if the winner declines the request to publish their combo, a video should be enough and respect their desire to keep their combo a secret. Anyone who knows enough about Beyblade should be able to figure it out from a video anyway. A video will also give us a visual of how they used their combo effectively as well as a demonstration of how it was defeated.
Like Deikailo said, we can see it being a bad/good thng. The good thing is players stepping up to the WBO metagame. Bad thing is the winners of the previous tourney caqnt use their bey they won as much, because we're formally using an 'outclassed' combo since people stepping up.

On the last paragraph Deikailo, I agree with you. I mean I do want a good winning streak/rank on WBO tourneys and get acknowledged. But hey my Libra combo got revealed cause of Ikmv >=!. I would like to contribute to this thread to talk about WBO Metagames.
Your libra combo is actually an old combination or brads, or an evolution of it. His was MF Libra ch120rf. It's in the archives.
