You live in the UK. It's the Mega Drive; not the Genesis!
Oh I'm sorry, the mega drive...

Who cares which names which, it's still the same system and if I wanted to call it the Genesis against the UK name then I will.

My teacher calls it Genesis as well so I think it's a more preferred name to some of us.

Yes but the library of the games are pretty much the same and it's purpose are the same, it's just that for some reason they aren't compatible, so you clearly knew what I meant.

And don't make a smart allec comment saying that PS3 and X360 has some games being similar, since the Megadrive and Genesis are similar in consoles and are made by Sega and I'm pretty sure the games aren't that different.

Um..
The Mega Drive and Genesis are the same console, but due to European electrical and such, PAL has to be rendered at a slower frame rate. EX- Sonic the Hedgehog on a NTSC Console (Japanese Mega Drive or US Genesis) will run faster then your Sonic the Hedgehog on a PAL System (European Mega Drive).
And hey...you guys got MegaMan: The Wily Wars...so don't ever think that NTSC is always better.
Nintendo Wii-U
Nintendo Wii
Nintendo 64
PS3
PS2

I'm not being picky on details, but my point is, the Megadrive is pretty much the European alternative of a Genesis so therefore we can aknowledge it as a Genesis if we want to.
My only consoles:

PSP
DSi

Unhappy
3DS
DSi
PS3
Wii
Gamecube

I do not regret buying these, unlike that other DS that broke into pieces.
All together through my life I have owned a PS1, PS2, Gamecube, Gameboy ADV, Gameboy Color, Wii, DS, DSi, 2DS PS3, and an Xbox 360. I only own the Xbox 360, 2DS, Wii and DSi now though due to giving stuff away and stuff breaking. RIP in peace my beloved PS2.
Just a suggestion; if anyone needs a portable system; 3DS IS the way to go.
