I used to love Hardcore music.
But about 1 1/2 to 2 years ago I started getting private guitar lessons.
My teacher got me into heaps of progressive music, which over time I've grown to absolutely love.

I still like most of the metal I used to listen to, except I don't think I could get into stuff I hadn't heard before again.
It just seems as if it doesn't have much depth to it, and there's a limit to the amount of different chugging riffs you can write.

Mostly old rock. Deep Purple, Rush etc.

I don't mind some of the metal that is released nowadays like Mastodon but I do listen to some bands and just hear screaming and distortion and wonder what's musical about it. Meh, it's all down to musical taste I guess.

I love rock, all types of rock, mainly alternative and hard rock. My favorite bands are Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park. Bullet for my Valentine, Escape the Fate, Bless the Fall, Saosin, Paramore, and Rise Against. My favorite song right now is by Anberlin though The Feel Good Drag. People are constantly surprised my my musical tastes in general. Not too sure why.

I've been attempting to broaden my horizons beyond typical stuff I usually listen to. Still can't stand rap, but I've been listening to quite a bit by this artist atm. This song in particular appeals to me due to the mix of chiptune, while seeming a slight bit more serious than some of the stuff out there along the chiptune line.

Sorry to necro this topic but I couldn't find a general "music" kind of topic that was bumped.

i have been listening to so much Bring Me The Horizon lately, a metalcore band again but im starting to like some hardcore bands like sick of it all and agnostic front which is hardcore punk.

I listen to tons of music idk why but my favorite band is KoRn..guess it is because i grew up on them...but other than that i like dance music, techno, and trance i am going to a rave this friday probably...ill be out late then i will have to wake up to leave for vacation...

Rock and Metal are the music types i love Metallica and Iron Maiden are the two most epic bands for me i have loads of their music on my ipod XD

well if you cant deside listen to all of them but what gets me the most is immedaite music, trailer music, and score. they give you that feelling. absolutly love them.
