W145 Discussion

So, after receiving my BBG-03, I tested W145 against AD145 in both solo spin times and mirrored matches. It'd be great if others with W145 could test theirs out as well to see if it's really superior to AD145 or, at the very least, equal to it in terms of Stamina.
Or if I'm completely wrong, Guess not, lol.

I don't believe those results

W145 has loads of air friction
WD145 features three “wings”. The wings are similar to that of ED145, the only difference being that its wings cannot spin freely. The defensive capabilities of this part are outclassed in all areas by other Defensive Tracks, such as C145, GB145, and 230, as it does not absorb hits as successfully. Furthermore, it is easy for the low attacker’s Wheel to be caught between the Wheel and WD145, causing a lot of recoil and spin reduction in the process..

Do not copy and paste Beywiki articles without crediting them ...
Well, unlike BEYDEXTER, I believe it. This could be the better version of DF145...

Could you do another mirror test with Duo Aquario AD145WD?

... you do realize this is W145 we're talking about here, not WD145 right?

I'll do some tests as I have W145.
I do not know why people are criticising W145 so much (or even mistaking it for WD145 ...) ... Its gimmick is clearly similar to DF145, which was made with the intent of creating downward force, which does not necessarily disadvantage the Beyblade ...
Inguilt tried W145 out in his tumblr: http://ingulit.tumblr.com/day/2012/07/03
He got a fairly low winning rate on W145. (Not that I don't believe you too, Angry!)

I don't have W145 (or any Zero-G parts for that matter), so I cannot test it, unfortunately. Guess we will have to get some more testing for it.
I used W145 on Flash. I think it performs better than GB145 but I haven't done any real test. I will do some tests in the near future & post the result here.
Ohh Sorry I didn't saw it clearly Tongue_out... It will be mention on BEYWIKI..
I don't understand why people are critising these results. they're plausable, and I see nothing greatly wrong with W145, infact, I generally think of it as being better than AD145...
I did get poor results on my blog, but up until I did formal tests I was getting results with W145 that were very comperable with AD145. Also, W145 was going dead even until a part swap, so that might have effected the results.

I'm going to do a bunch of testing today now that I have two Phantoms that are basically the exact same weight to see if that gives different results. I definitely think W145 has potential.
Ingulit: Oh, ok. I agree with you on W145 having potential, though. It's like a better version of DF145 in a way.

That's exactly the way I've been looking at it, like a more outwardly-distributed DF145.

I did some more testing today, and good lord, W145 is amazing. I can say for sure that it is definitely more consistent than AD145 now that I've tested with two Phantoms rather than two Burns (which gives a much clearer picture of the part's actual potential). In the battles, AD145 would start to topple sooner while W145 stayed upright like a champ. I don't know if it's the down force actually working or not, but regardless, today's tests were nothing short of incredible:

I don't know about you guys, but I think I'll be using W145 over AD145 on my stamina customs from now on.

EDIT: Also, this took FOREVER DEAR LORD
Wow, impressive. I'm curious about what happened in the latter half of your first set of tests, though. Do you have any idea what may have caused that? It certainly looks odd, but anything that caused such a difference after the parts swap should have negatively affected AD145 in the first 10 rounds. Did you notice anything odd with the W145 combo's behaviour in the latter half of those tests?
I think I'll test this out with results sometime they won't be official cause my stadium has a dent but if the dent (In the playing area) interfares with the battle then I will redo it the dent doesn't interfare often but due to it my tests will never be offiicial. I don't know when I'll test but I find this very interesting. I find W145 has potential= to AD145 at best but this is only my head's reasoning.
@Inguilt: Nice results! I should probably go get an Ifraid off eBay now.

There wasn't anything majorly different, I think AD's wins were probably the result of an abnormally strong launch or something (that's why we do 20 tests after all!). Both WDs were basically mint, but there might have been some wear on one of them or something. The matches where AD won it was very close, down to only a few rotations at most.

EDIT: I'm really glad I misplaced my first Phantom for awhile (I found it, obviously) since that made me get a second one, and lord knows these tests were much less frustrating than my previous Burn tests.

IKR? I was totally afraid that it'd just be me getting these type of results. xD

Thanks for the tests, Ingulit and Zancrow! I'll add them to the OP.
All right I think that results are decent

After zancrow test it is clearly shown that w145 is better

But but but doesn't uw145 produces the same effect and upto a greater extend
BEYDEXTER: I think it has to do with the shape and number of the "wings", honestly. The shape of the "wings" on W145 and DF145 are very similar. Also, W145 has a higher number of "wings" than DF145, which might be assisting it in Stamina combos. UW145 has 3 "wings", and they aren't even the same shape as DF/W145's.
UW145 has pretty horrible aerodynamics from looking at it, and it's been tested a few times IIRC, I know I've tried it and it sucked for me, though I don't think I bothered to do formal testing, try to find the thread for it, if we have one?
