Specific info for those that get confused easily:

When: July 4th, midday till whenever people need to leave by.

Where: Regent's Park in Central London. Meet at the Ready Money Drinking Fountain because it's easy to find but shouldn't be majorly crowded. From there we can scout out a nice spot to battle.
Map of Regent's Park: http://www.royalparks.org.uk/docs/park_m...ts_map.pdf

What: Was supposed to be more of a meet and greet thing, but seeing as it looks like a load of people will turn up, we're having a MFB format tourney. Most likely BRR. There won't be any prizes though, just Faces and, uh, glory and respect and such. >.>

Either bring a packed lunch or some money for one of the cafés near by. We'll probably get some drinks later on (hopefully it'll be a nice hot day). Maybe even ice-cream. Eee

Assuming this doesn't get cancelled or postponed, I'll put up my number closer to the time. I can also put up instructions, travel help, etc, if necessary.

I don't think anything else needs to be said. Questions can be posted here or asked in PMs. I know it's near impossible for the UK lot but it'd be nice if we could keep the meaningless chatter in this thread to a minimum? Please? :X

Thanks for the awesome graphics theflightyellz!

Just in case anyone was wondering, the passport/charge rules are coming into affect immediately. This means that if you want to compete then you will have to pay a charge. For us UK bladers it's only £3 so I think you can manage. Alternatively, you could purchase a Blader Passport. You can buy them online beforehand or at the event if you're not sure how much you'll use it, etc. If for some reason you have major issues with this then hit me up a PM. :3

Also, there will be some sort of penalty if you say you turn up and then don't so don't risk it okay? If you're in the 'definites' list and you're not sure if you can come, change to the 'possibles'.

For those of you who wish to buy beyblades at the event, please see this thread: http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Anyone-s...mmer-smash
Also this post specifically if you wish to buy direct from theintoy at the event (yes that means MFB): http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Anyone-s...#pid163192

Please don't take this as SPAM please but can this tornamet be a tag team?

If not sorry for this post!!
The calendar is missing a lot of functionality that would make it useful. We're working on developing it further.

We talked about this in the old spinoff thread. Tag team may be fun for us kids but if it ends up as an odd number of people competing its just gonna cause confusion...

(Just my opinion, we can make it tag - its not up to me)
I kinda agree but i don't really mind.
tag team doesn't make sense

i say this as someone who ran a tag team tournament before
Tag team free battles are obviously an option, don't see why we can't do that?

You can do this, but they're not eligible to be ranked.
Tag team would be crazy and hard, it could end up as you knocking out your partner or the other way around and then you are alone against two people so I don't think much on that.

We could still see what happens in free battles though.
I don't really have a problem with tag team actually. But not for this event......maybe some other time.
How would partners be paired up?
I have no idea, nor was I really planning to think about it now......either randomly, planned so that the partners are as different as possible, planned so that you're paired with someone similiar to yourself or let people pick their own partners. I mean, I don't think there are any other ways actually. If we had an event like that I'd think about it some more but so far nothing is planned....
If it was tag team i would obviously be with a strong person xD

(Rather stupid question, just making sure) Do we need a paypal account at the day? Or do we just bring £6...
Just bring the money and give it to me. Eee
Just can't wait for the big day that is coming! :o
And maybe we can do free tagg battles for fun? Joyful_2
What the mney to enter the torney?
Well if we do tag battles at the end this is just an idea but why not numbers because it's fair and random so no-one can really argue or moan.
Just a thought if we do in the end.
Beyunit you can either buy a passport or pay something like £3.00 but ask Rocky because Driger is said to have to bring £6.00 for the tournament, so don't count me on that one.

I imagine that he said £6 because he was planning to buy a passport too?

Also, I'm not gonna stop people playing tag team battles, whatever your definition of them may be but they won't be ranked and I'm not going to organize it all. Unless everyone really wants to try it in which case I can sort out teams and such.......just saying, don't expect me to make a plan or anything for these, they're not a part of the original schedule and I'm not even sure if we'd have time for them anyways.

Just an idea but we could do that so that for every battle you always have someone different to make it fair. Stopping someone like Driger from always having a good person. Tongue_out But in truth, the tag isn't that important for us to go over so much.
Well what ever happens, happens it's a day out to have fun and bey battles and of coarse FOOD. Well Rocky so is it very unlikely to do tag battles or 4 way battles just to be reassured.
Why would you want to do 4 way battle? This would turn out to be a mess in all honestly. A stadium is made for two Beyblades.
I know but that is what some people are asking, not mentioning any names.
Wide square stadium says hi.

But really, they are quite messy. Fun but pointless. When the idea was first brought up I was under the impression that people were talking about battles where players alternate in the stadium though I imagine some of you are talking about four-for-alls......not that it maters much either way....

Unless one of you intends to plan out some sort of tag team side event could we branch away from this talk now? It can be confusing for people new to this topic and they aren't really covered by WBO ruling so.....
I think we were mainly talking about 2-on-2 but whatever, I wasn't all that high on the idea anyway.
Yes i know they were but it's the same because eventually the 2 blades on the same team are going to hit eachother.
