GIVEAWAYS – BEYRAFFLE AND #BEYSELFIE

Enter the BeyRaffle by attending either Beyblade Burst 101 or the Beyblade Burst tournament on Saturday — preferably, both! We'll be giving away awesome prizes, just a few of which can be seen above. (The Beyblade Burst 101 raffle will prioritize new players over experienced Bladers.)

Plus, Beyblade North will have a #BeySelfie contest all of its own! Post your BeySelfie on Instagram (tagged with #BeySelfie and #WorldBeyblade) from our booth on Friday and Saturday for a chance to win a gold Xcalibur Force Xtreme (which you can pick up on Sunday – keep an eye on your Instagram comments!).

And of course, the winners of each tournament will all receive fabulous prizes.

Many prizes generously donated by Zankye's Beyblade World – check him out on YouTube!

I don't think there'd be enough time to do 2 events on Friday and Sunday, since there isn't a lot of time, but there's a lot of participants. Maybe something like Limited on Friday, Burst and HMS or Plastics on Saturday, and then Standard or Zero-G on Sunday.
No offense, but MFB Standard has to be an event. MFB Standard was the format that got everything going and was longest running and the most popular. That's one event that cannot be skipped. As for anything else it's up to you.

TN will host a BeyDays tournament. We need money for the qualifiers next year and I'm going to make sure of it, unless I move for my third time (which I REALLY hope does not happen).

Good Luck with everything again.
I would like to come, but gas and hotel rooms aren't cheap - is there anyone interested in carpooling or sharing a hotel room to split the cost?

IMO, Saturday should have Burst and another highly popular format (probably Standard or Limited), and maybe a third. No offense to Plastics/HMS/Zero-G fans, but realistically Standard and Limited are the most popular formats.

I may just pay for your room then, feeling good currently so...ya know.
Are WBO events usually at the Sheraton?

We currently don't know where this event will be hosted, and it's possible it won't be in the same building as previous events. As soon as we have concrete information it'll be posted here.
Here's a list of all of our formats (except Burst, since it's a given that it's the main event). Would love if everyone who's coming could sort this list from most-desired to least-desired. This isn't a poll, and we won't make the decision solely based on this; just wondering where your thoughts are at.

Plastics
HMS
Metal Fight Standard
Metal Fight Limited
Zero-G
I don't know for sure if I'm going, but here is my order based on personal preference:

MFB Limited
Plastics
Zero-G
HMS
MFB Standard

I think the Friday tournament should be either Limited or Standard. I much prefer Limited over Standard just due to the state of the Standard meta, but since the past 2 AN events have focused on Limited I can understand why people would want Standard back.

Saturday will be Burst obviously, but if there is a second tournament that day I think it should be Zero-G because it has a similar "entertainment factor" to Burst, just with the swaying Stadiums instead of exploding Beyblades. If Saturday is the day we attract the most attention from newcomers then we would probably want to include the more exciting formats.

I do think we need to include at least 1 Bakuten Shoot tournament at AN, so that should be Sunday's tournament. I would prefer Plastics over HMS but either will work.
We need to start building attention on Friday so those people actually come to the Burst event on Saturday morning/afternoon.

Well then, I think we should have Zero-G on Friday, since it's probably the most exciting tier except for Burst. So... Zero-G on Friday, Burst + Limited/Standard on Saturday, and Plastics/HMS on Sunday?
This would be my order of preference :

HMS
Zero-G
Plastic
Standard
Limited
Since everyone's posting their order of preference, I might as well post mine too.

Limited
Zero-G
HMS
Standard
Plastics
My order of preference:

Limited
HMS
Plastics
Zero-G
Standard

Demos and free play are a better way of getting new people into the game than tournaments. I also think Zero-G is probably the worst format to use as a marketing tool, since it's completely different from every other format and doesn't do anything to appeal to the nostalgia of either plastics or MFB.
Standard
Burst
Plastics
Zero-G
Limited~

Letz go~

Cool... I just recall seeing a lot of Beybladers last couple of years at the Sheraton, though I haven't paid much attention to the events. Usually am busy staffing at the gaming section, but since I'm on WBO now, I'll probably swing by during my break to say hi. =)

Hm, I do see your point. Though, I doubt new people would have a lot of nostalgia about plastics and MFB.

You don't think people at an anime convention have nostalgia for a toyline that was huge for two different generations of children? I would say that's how we've drawn tons of people in, historically.
That and you have generation differences, "old school is superior. MFB will get destroyed by Plastics. Back when I was a kid etc."

Who knows, anything can happen at anime cons.
Plastics is a possibility?
I'm hyped now.
My dreams come true.
<3~

Plastics
HMS
Standard
Zero-G
Limited

(Not too fond of Zero G or Limited tbh)
I just listed every format we offer. Nothing is guaranteed.

Because this is the case, does it not make the most sense to also do a Burst Format event on Friday to promote what we'll be doing for the main event? I've done it before in the past with Standard or Limited on both Friday/Saturday in different years. The atmosphere of the events is always different too because Friday is typically filled with more veteran players/active WBO members.

Anyways, my preference in order is:

(Team) Limited
HMS
(Team) Standard
(Team) Zero-G
Plastics

Interesting to see how apparently polarizing Limited is; several of us have it at the top of our list and several have it at the bottom. I wonder why that is.

I also included Team for Limited, Standard, and Zero-G because it's my favourite format type ... but I don't know how everyone else feels about it. It would be best suited to Sunday however because it isn't as newcomer-friendly.
We should be actively playing Burst on Friday but I don't think it needs to be in the structure of a tournament; people should feel free to walk in and start playing with us at any point so they can get a feel for it and hopefully decide to become – or return to being – a Blader. Smile

We could maybe try an experimental unranked format like Japan's Winning Streak to at least add some tension and structure to the proceedings, perhaps.

(Also, it's cool to be having this discussion publicly.)
How would I be able to purchase this? I live in the US .-.

That shouldn't change anything. You should be able to purchase it from the Eventbrite page.
