The WBO is proud to announce that we will be partnering with ANIME NORTH 2015 for the eight consecutive year to host Team BeyBattle Revolution, the spiritual successor to Tag BeyBattle Revolution hosted over ten years ago at AN04 by Off the Chain! Team BeyBattle Revolution will make use of the WBO’s brand new Team Format; team up in groups of three and battle it out against Bladers from across North America in a frenzied competition to take home the Triple Crown Face and some fabulous prizes! Whose side will you choose?

What is Team Format?
First announced to great fanfare in 2014 and tested at the pilot event–BEY OR DIE–in Toronto this past September, Team Format is a new experimental format introduced by the WBO for Organized Play whereby Bladers join forces in teams of three as they battle against opposing teams individually in a series of BeyBattles.

Lead by their designated Captains, Team Format battles are comprised of what is known as a “Team BeyBattle”. Team BeyBattles consist of three separate best 3 out of 5 BeyBattles between each team member. In these BeyBattles, every round win counts! After all three BeyBattles have been completed, the winning team of that Team BeyBattle will be determined based on the final total round wins of all three BeyBattles combined! Here’s an example:

For more information about Team Format, please read the official announcement thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them here!

Looking for team members?
Feel free to discuss that in this tournament thread, but once you have created a team, create a thread in the Team Forum to further discuss any internal team matters there!

Want to participate? Join a Qualifier!
Team BeyBattle Revolution will be open to the public, but if you live in North America, and aren't able to afford the trip up to Toronto? Don't worry! We've got you covered; win one of our qualifier tournaments and you'll win paid travel expenses up to Toronto!

If you think your area can host a qualifier, try putting together a strong Event Proposal backed by confirmations by users posted in the WBO General Forum and we will consider it!

Entry: You need an AN Pass!
A Blader Passport is not required for this tournament, as AN does not allow event organizers to charge entry fees for events within the convention. However, if you want to support the WBO so we can host even better tournaments with even better prizes in the future, and participate in the BeyPoints ranking System in future tournaments, then you will need one! So, if you wish to purchase one at the tournament, that is still possible.

To participate in the tournament, you currently have a few options to gain entrance: a) a weekend pass or b) a day pass for Saturday at AN (and Friday/Sunday Passes if you plan attend the other events on those days). Weekend Passes are currently sold out, but you can still purchase Single Day Tickets. We highly recommend that you purchase a ticket ASAP! Saturday Passes have sold out in past years as well, and there is no guarantee that they will be available at the convention itself.

The Anime North weekend has become a yearly tradition so deeply rooted in the history of the WBO. I remember attending for the first time in 2008, with a mixture of both nervousness and excitement swirling around inside me; a nervousness and excitement not necessarily wholly related to Beyblade, but to the impending connections I would make with people I had known online for years.

Eight years later–eight Anime North’s later–memories of these experiences and the people I’ve met from around the world ceaselessly occupy a special place in my mind. BEYBLADE’S NOT DEAD, BEYBLADE WAR ROOM, BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP, BEYBLADE CRUSADE, BEYBLADE CRUSADE 2, BEYBLADE REVOLUTION, GRAND BATTLE TOURNAMENT 2 … Some things just never change. As I always say, our AN events every year are the ultimate embodiment of what the WBO is all about fundamentally: competitive play and interacting with others. You can experience facets of those things through the forums–which is what makes them so great–but competing face to face with someone else potentially from a foreign country, only to smile and laugh with them afterwards is another experience entirely. Team BeyBattle Revolution will bring a whole new dimension to this with the team dynamics being introduced, so it surely is going to be an event for the history books! Don’t miss it.

Are you as excited about the festivities as we are?! If so, be sure to tell your friends about it! And if you haven't already, follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook!

Actually! There is still a chance for you to go on saturday!!!

The reason i say this, is because every year we usauly have a toronto qualifier too!

So possibly if we have it in early april 12th,19th, you can as well get the friday and sunday admission's as well! if you wantTongue_out

Therefore there would still be a chance for you to go to AN!!!!!!
Kei actually informed me at our last tournament that we won't be having a qualifier in Toronto.
We might actually have one if nobody else around NA steps up to host one in a region that is further away from Toronto, but it will depend on whether I can get another Weekend Pass donated by AN.

Some of you guys might have already seen, but @[originalzankye] and @[BeybladeGeeks] have both recently posted videos advertising Team BeyBattle Revolution! If you guys aren't subscribed to their channels already, you really should, even if only because of their continued support of the WBO over the past several years.

Id be willing to host in VA or MD.

You'd have to prove there is sufficient interest (beyond just the seven minimum), especially given that those areas have not been incredibly active recently. We don't want to set ourselves up for failure. If you can, we'd be happy to consider it provided there is enough time.
Really absurd that AN cannot at least sell gaming-only passes. (I'm still waiting to hear about my press pass, too ...)
Oh is Zankye or BeybladeGeeks coming?
Hi my name is juju Jinga I'm 5 yrs old I will be attending the tournament May 23! I can't wait to play against other kids!

Yeah, it's ridiculous. There's so many people that only want to attend gaming events; I think it would be worth it for them to implement something like that.

I think Ron went behind everyone's back in 2011 when he allowed us to create a "Beyblade Pass" for our event that year haha.

Zankye will be there.

Hi Juju jinga! I'm looking forward to seeing you at the tournament; there should be a lot of kids there for you to play with. Smile
ExtremeBlader3 said that he is possible.
If anyone wants to be the third member of team ULTYMATE BLAZING DRAGONS please pm me.
You need a proof that your ticket was bought
Since Ultimate Blaze will not come its only Me and Venemous_Cobraa (if he can come)

I ended up making a promise for him... I told him if i win the Toronto qualifier, i'll give him the pass cause I got mine already
Yeah, so Grand Aquario, i might go now since were going to have a qualifier, so really it just depends on if i win the AN ticket for saturday i guess, but either way, we'll have to seeSmile

Kai, you'd said you didn't have a team today at the tournament right? So if not, it's totally up to you if you want to join our team! because we have a extra spot for anyone else to join, but if not, i won't be offended! so don't worry about it! hahahaWink
I should have my 3 man team put together by this Sunday.
I know this is a very weird question to ask but how do you sign up for the tournement Speechless

For this tournament specifically, there's a couple things you need:

1. An AN Pass for Saturday, which is unfortunately no longer available. There are Friday and Sunday passes left, however, so you could think about attending our events on those days!
2. A WBO account, which you already have.
3. A Team, which you can form with two other Bladers.
4. With your team, you sign up on the day of the tournament at the venue when we open registration.

You can post here saying that you are going and get an Anime North pass.
Actually, for this tournament, since we are part of the Anime North convention on those dates, you also need to have purchased a weekend pass or a day pass for Saturday May 23rd on Anime North's website. Otherwise, you are not really allowed inside the convention ...
My dad and I are going to start looking at hotels- is this definitely going to be at the Sheraton? I know it's been changed here and there so figured I'd triple check- just to be sure it doesn't get moved again, now that he date is getting closer.

I think the first hotel we were supposed to be at is within walking distance from the current location.
Will anyone be getting in on Thursday morning? Ill be getting in the airport around 10am. And to the Sheraton around 11am.

I will be in Toronto around 1:00 PM on Thursday.
By the way, I have no team either, but since my record is rather so-so, I will be content to team up with anybody hah. Now knowing that Scythe is not what Ryuzaki made it out to be, I should have much better results though ...

If you're looking to add an experienced member to your team, Kai-V's probably your best option Cool

Also, Kei, you can confirm The Sponge.

Because all the better ones are taken, hah.
